Morning Tea and Meditation Practice for Returning Home to Yourself

So, dear everyone, welcome back to uh morning tea and meditation again. on the mountain today. Great hidden mountain at the park monastery. Morning is so beautiful. Today, we have a topic to practice this morning. It's uh return home to ourselves. coffee or anything to drink, so you can prepare yourself. [snorts] This morning, I have a red tea and uh sweet sage powder. I just burn and enjoy this morning. Today, we just uh enjoy our tea. And invite ourselves to come back.

Come back home to ourselves in the present moment. You're holding the cup of tea in your two hands. And you are truly present in the here and now. And you are present and represent with yourself. You bring your mind back to the body in the here and now and invite your mind to come home to yourself. In the morning, you usually uh enjoy the silence with myself. And to have a space and time to come back to myself, come back home to myself. Because during the day um we are very busy. And I'm easy to be lost uh to the work, to the projects. So, the moment in the morning is a moment that I can enjoy my tea.

Come back home to myself to enjoy, to take care, So there is nothing to do, nowhere to go. Come back home to ourselves in the present moment. To enjoy cup of tea. To enjoy sitting. Enjoy breathing. Enjoy the space around you at your home. Or in the garden. Or in the mountain like me. So you can create the space. Create the space like uh present. Enjoyable. And at ease for yourself. Usually um when we are waking up in the morning, we already thinking about the work that we need to do.

We are so uh rushing to the projects that we need to do. And that's why we lose ourselves in the present moment. So in the morning, offer yourself 10 20 minutes to enjoy tea. To enjoy sitting meditation. So that you can return back home to yourself. To enjoy the present moment. And also to offer yourselves the time to be with yourself. Come back home to yourself here is come back to the present moment. Come back to your body. Come back to your mind. In the here and now. So that you can recognize what is going on in yourself. And you can recognize and you can smile to them.

Smile with love, understanding. And then you can settle, settle in the present moment, and you know what you need to do, right? So this is on the time in the morning that you can be yourself, prepare yourself the best. We are very grounded in the morning. We are very calm in the morning. And then we can be calm and grounded later on during the day. So we don't carried away by the rushing, by worries, anxieties during the day. So in the morning, have a time to come back to ourselves is very important. That's what I love to do every time in the morning I wake up. I enjoy uh tea silently with myself and my ancestors. I have another cup for my And at the same time to enjoy my sitting meditation with the sangha, with

community. And then I do my chi kung practice, morning chi kung routine. That is a wonderful way to start, to begin my day. So you may do the same if you would like to do like that. So, let us uh sit beautifully. You continue to enjoy the tea, but at the same time to uh sit and follow your breathing. So, we can enjoy sitting together. Breathing out, you know that you are breathing out. I am aware of the earth elements in myself. Breathing out, I at home and smile to my earth element in myself. The earth element smiling.

I am the earth and the earth in me. I smile into myself. I smile into the earth. Breathing in, I am aware Breathing out, I am at home and smile to the element water in myself. The element is water, that is the our blood. My blood. 70% water in my body. Turn to the element of water that I am my life. That I am at home. Water element smiling. Breathing in, I am aware of Breathing out, I am at home and smile to the air element in myself. The air element here is our breathing, my breathing.

The air come in and come out through my nose. The oxygen's outside. The air element smiling. Breathing in, I am aware the fire element in me. I am at home And smile to the fire element in myself. The fire element here is the warmness. The sun. The sun outside give us the warmness. The heat. So, that's why we feel also warm in our body. The sun is in myself. I am in the sun. And after that home I feel warm.

The fire elements smiling. I come back to myself in the present moment. I return home to myself in the here and now. Breathing out I am alive. And I am very happy. Come home to myself. Feeling happy. You may continue to follow your breathing. And enjoy the present moment and continue to enjoy tea. Okay. Just breathe. Enjoy your tea and do nothing.
