good morning everyone oh my god i'm vlogging it's a thing so we are in oxford right now for the weekend staying in a hotel if you want all the scoop on staying in a hotel during this time then i'm doing a completely dedicated video to the ins and outs of it what's different what's the same the precautions masks everything um in another video so i'll link that up that one should have gone out first but yeah we're here in oxford weekend the weather yeah we just got out of a heat wave and it decided to do a full 180 and was like no sorry ally you're not getting nice weather in oxford this weekend my bad yes you're bad rain or not we are gonna go and see what we can see around oxford we have a tour booked and the only reason i booked it is
because one of you told me on instagram he gave me so much information about oxford right now um that there are socially distant tours of the castle in prison so we booked that tour up i'm going to show you what socially distant tour is like and um yeah i think we'll head out get some coffee and just hope the rain holds off so we can see as much as of oxford as we can all right enough rambling let's go see oxford okay so literally from the hotel it's right on the thames so you can just leave the hotel and start your little river walk yeah there's loads of different walks you can do on the thames obviously um so depending on how the weather goes loads of you have given me so many recommendations so um play by ear but we want to do a couple more
works i need the second coffee challenge this is ridiculous so nice to be out in nature though just like ah i but also i haven't been out in nature for so long i kind of mistook a horse for a cow so that's a very tall skinny cow so this is christ church meadows i think it's part of the university but look at this the beautiful charlie it is stunning everyone recommended this and it's like over everything when you type in things to do in oxford you can bring your bicycles down here if you want good tips chairs good tips
oxford looks kind of like exactly how i imagined it to look like just insane like it's a gothic architecture beautiful the little alleyways hello there's just so much open green space around it's amazing and you can see that on the maps there's just parks everywhere but especially with all the flowers and the colors are slightly starting to change with no sun artery in the garden so yeah having a wonder before our tour a reservation for a tour of five past online so the tour was absolutely fantastic in the prison everyone had to wear masks and you're all given a separate space in all the rooms and areas to stand in as a
household so you are nowhere near anyone else everybody i'm boring housekeeping stuff first we've also got these safety distance boxes just to keep everyone safe over the course of the tour that's why um we are sanitizing hand rails we are sanitizing balances and door handles every 30 minutes uh so you can touch them without having to worry about too much we've also got hand sanitizing stations and on the site for you to use and if you'd like to ask questions if you'd like to take photos at any point over the course of the tour please feel free to do that too i think that was all the warm stuff so welcome everyone to oxford also when you went up to the lookout tower everyone took turns
and stayed separated at the bottom the whole time but the stories were absolutely fantastic and we love a good prison tour so i would definitely recommend everybody to d-wave now you'll notice we're standing in two cells here cells built by harris after that we were a little bit hungry so we headed to the outdoor market where they had so many food stores i did put my mask on here because it was getting a little bit crowded but once you can grab your food you can keep your mask on and you can pull away from everyone else and eat my legs are definitely slowing down your left one's doing a funny thing yeah it's been a while since we had a nice long walk yikes so it is i saw this place called the perch it was actually recommended
for you to stop it was actually highly advised to stop at the perch and we don't want to be rude while we're here in oxford so we shall oblige shall we not yes head of the river that's why we just had dinner and a couple of beers really nice would recommend really good food fast service like really friendly as well nice beers on tap 10 out of 10. they went really well the weather held off for us it was so nice to just walk again and there's so many open grass areas parks fields just areas that you don't need to be around anyone which is why i'm really glad we chose oxford because the town center as the day went on was getting more crowded i was getting more uncomfortable which kind of like zoomed around
everyone to stay away from people and so it's really nice to be able to like not have to go far to be away from absolutely everyone else we'll be checking out here soon we'll go and grab some breakfast and we were going to go to blenheim palace however the palace is closed inside and one of the courtyards is closed the weather i don't know what it's going to be doing we're going to play today by ear but we could just head back um into birmingham but we are not too sure yet we've just woke up we are figuring out our day
