Today I'm trying every single bubble gum. And in the end, I'm combining them all together to make the most perfect bubble gum recipe. Razzles. We got tropical, sour, and original. Each one of these are $5, so this is $15 worth of bubble gum. The original looks like Flintstones vitamins. The tropical looks like fish food pellets. And the sour looks like dried up Play-Doh. The gum is so crunchy and real tough to chew. It's not stretchy and it kind of looks like doo-doo. The tropical flavor is a little bit better, but I'm convinced Razzles were accidentally made. It's terrible at being candy and terrible at being gum.
Let's see if we can learn anything from the sour gum. Ugh! It literally tastes like Play-Doh. Not even sour. Now I know exactly how not to make a bubble gum because that was gross. Make sure to stick to the end to see what all the bubble gums combined will taste like. Babaloo! Bubble gum from Mexico. This gum's special cuz it's got a gooey center. It's basically like Gusher gum. This gum's got great chewing texture, bubble blowing capabilities, but it's loaded with sugar, which is going to cause cavities. Bubble gum from Japan.
It comes in a samurai sword. This gum not only tastes great, it uses vegetable juice to color the bubble gum. pH indicator. A value under five means my mouth is acidic and I'm in the cavity zone. It's [screaming] red! Christmas themed bubble gum. From Blow Pop mini presents to candy cane ice breaker cubes and of course Santa Hubba Bubba bubble tape. That's one giant water gum. The flavor's iconic, but the sugar's feeding all the plaque on my teeth. Woah! That was a big one. Woah! [screaming] Woah! That almost flew away. Mini Blow Pops. It comes in cherry and sour apple. It's like having a bunch of mini lollipops in my mouth. The bubble gum is absolutely terrible, but the candy's pretty nice.
Let's see if these Ice Breakers can freshen my breath. They look like tiny ice cubes with green and red breath crystals. Oh yeah, super minty. This breathometer measures how much sulfur is in my breath and tells me if I have bad breath. It's a one, meaning I'm fresh. Recently I was gifted an ice cream maker. So, when I tried peppermint mochi ice cream, I knew I had to try to make some peppermint ice cream myself. Here's how to make them. I bought this ice cream maker from Home Depot. So, let's throw in the ice. Then, you grab your heavy whipping cream.
Add it to the mixing bowl in the center. Then, we're going to sprinkle some salt on the ice to make it even colder. We're going to add in Junior Peppermint candy cane jelly beans and, of course, peppermint dust. A crank and crush and grind it all together. Once the milk freezes and turns into ice cream, we're ready to feed. Let's grab a fat glob of ice cream. Ho! And, of course, a green holiday cone. Fat glob. Ho! Perfect landing. Let's add the toppings. Ooh! Give it a lick before it melts. Mhm. Crunchy from the peppermint.
Peppermint ice cream's got to be the best invention ever. Oh, yeah. I need a second one. If you want to learn how to eat ice cream without having your teeth really hurt, stick to that. Oh, yeah. Let's make some edible glass ornaments. You'll need Jolly Ranchers. Throw them in a silicone mold. Place them in the microwave. Place the water balloon. Pour the syrup right over the top. Now, we just got to wait till this hardens. Woah! That was so cool. Now, we get to eat this edible ornament. It's so pretty. Sounds like I'm chewing on glass. That's some nice ASMR. One more time.
Careful where you crunch cuz it's sharp. A mini popcorn machine. Let's unbox it. This isn't a normal popcorn machine. Let me show you what it can do. Popcorn kernels? Time for the secret ingredient. Sour Starburst Halloween edition. They're green, purple, and orange colored. Toss these in and turn it on. I can hear them cooking. And it looks like we got beautiful rainbow colored popcorn. It turned out perfectly. We got green, purple, and orange. Woah, this popcorn's got kernels and sugar stuck in my teeth. If this blew your mind, just wait till you see the final DIY edible hack. Next is a Kool-Aid gummy candy maker. Let's unbox it.
A manual, which you know I don't need because I've made enough candy in my life. Once you lock together all the pieces, you got a perfect gummy candy mold. Yellow, blue, green, and pink. First up is blue raspberry Jell-O. Grab the packets, pour some of that in there. Ooh, sour. Add a pinch of water, and now add an extra packet of gelatin. Using a toothbrush, we will mix the mixture together, making sure it becomes a liquefied jelly. With the gelatin fully mixed in, it's time to pour. I feel like I'm Willy Wonka over here. Next up, it's time to pour the lemon-lime. Just like that, we got ourselves some green
gummies. Put these aside and let them cool. With everything poured into the molds, let's throw them in the fridge until they look something like this. We got blue, gummy cherry, and green. Woah, these ones are glowing. Ooh. But what would happen if you combined all the flavors together in this rainbow gummy flavor? Flavor blast! This is a 10 out of 10 gummy recommended product. For next level, we got a DIY s'mores making kit. The marshmallow is squishy. Jab it in our little tiny fork, and now it's time to get toasted. This is a pretty slow toasting job over here. If this marshmallow doesn't toast in the next 1 second, I'm going to have to just blowtorch it.
This marshmallow is not toasting. I think it's time for backup. The blowtorch! Make sure to use safety whenever you use a blowtorch, especially when you're toasting a marshmallow. Now, that's how we toast a marshmallow here on Dental Digest. With the marshmallows fully toasted, it's time to bring in the graham crackers. Graham, mallow, and of course a mini chocolate bar. And just like that, we got ourselves a toasted s'more. Yummy. Oh, yeah, that's delicious. Unfortunately, this DIY kit did not work. I had to resort back to the blowtorch. So, this one gets an epic fail. Let's make homemade glow-in-the-dark bubble gum.
Bubble gum is actually pretty easy to make. You just start off with gum base. They look like tiny beans. This gum is super bland. So, let's sweeten it up. First, we got to pour the beans into a bowl. Oh, why is it dusty? Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir till it's nice and gooey. Now, it's time to add some flavor. Just a splash of tutti frutti. Mm, smells like tutti frutti. Some corn syrup for sweetness, just like me, super sweet. Not too much, but just enough for some sweetness. Now, it's time to add the magic ingredient. This stuff looks mega fluorescent and I wonder if it's going to make my mouth glow. Let's add just a pinch.
Oh, no, not the whole jar. My mouth is going to look like a radioactive sewer. I'm going to turn into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle with this gum. I wonder how it's going to taste. Mix all the ingredients together. Once it's at the perfect consistency, it's time to slice. But first, we got to add some powdered sugar. If not, all that gum is going to stick to this cutting board. I got mine from the dollar store. Who doesn't love to play with their food? Mm. Make sure the gum is cool to touch cuz you're going to fold into the exact shape you want. Look at that. Looks like a radioactive slime. Now, it's time to get messy and have some fun. Sprinkle the sugar all over and fold it into the exact shape you want.
Ooh. It's super fun. You're basically playing with warm Play-Doh. Ooh, that was a good stretch. Oh, that was a good pull. Once the powdered sugar is fully incorporated, you got this Play-Doh looking ball, but it's actually delicious flavored gum. Now, it's time to shape it into some I'm going to go with that classic iconic Hubba Bubba cube shape. Now that we got our brick of intergalactic glow in the dark gum, it's time to slice it up. And just like that, you got yourself some radioactive bubble gum. Mhm. Not only does this gum look cool, but it also tastes delicious. Now that all the gum's in my mouth, let's blow some bubbles.
This gum tastes incredibly delicious and my mouth is watering like crazy. Let's go. This glow in the dark gum has me feeling like a radioactive turtle. Instead of blowing out some bubbles, you can suck in and get some super loud noises. Woah. Now let's see how large of a bubble I can blow. What the heck? That's a huge bubble. This bubble gum is glowing like crazy, so let's make sure it's safe. I got myself a Geiger counter, which measures the alpha and beta particles to see how radioactive the gum is. Let's turn it on. It's picking up radioactivity. What? That is crazy. Oh, no wonder my tongue was starting to tingle. Nobody's ever made edible Takis slime before, so let's make some. Blue Takis.
Crush, crush, crush. Mix, mix, mix. Corn syrup. Mix, mix, mix. Blue glitter. Stretch test. Woah. That's a Flaming Hot Takis slime. It's infiltrated my hand and it's oozing everywhere. But let's see how good this stuff tastes. I don't know about you, but I don't think this looks appetizing. Let's crunch some Takis. Oh, look. It's a naked Takis. All the flavor got sucked up into the slime. [screaming] Why is it spicy? I got to clean this mess up before my mom come.
Now it's time for version number two. What happened to my finger? Let's slamify my second favorite snack, hot Cheetos. I can smell the spice. Let's get mixing. Hot Cheetos, smash, smash, smash, mix, mix, mix. After putting it in the dehydrator, we got the epic final result. Decided to give it a try. But first this Cheetos calling my name. Woah, it's jam-packed with Cheeto dust. Let's take it out of the tub and see what it's got. This is one Cheeto-tastic slime, but it's burning my hands. It's so spicy.
It's a giant hot Cheeto. Psych, it's just slime. Can't wait to put it in my mouth. It's time to give it a try. Oh, yeah. Spicy, but delicious. Hot Cheeto slime, massive success. Let's make homemade disclosing tablet bubble gum. Bubble gum is actually pretty easy to make. So let's make it. You're going to start off with gum base. These little things look like beans. So let's sweeten it up. First you got to add a little bit of corn syrup. Fat glob. Not too much, this stuff's not too healthy for you. But you got to have it taste a little sweet. Next is the
tutti-frutti flavoring so it tastes like a disclosing tablet. Mhm. Now lastly the disclosing solution. You can use food coloring, but I'm going to use disclosing tablet solution to stain my teeth. Careful not to get it on your fingers cuz this stuff is potent. I'll have pink hands for the week. Add two for good luck and throw it in the microwave for 10 seconds and give it a twirl. Once you get it to the right consistency, it's time to make some slices. We got some powdered sugar that we're going to make a little hole in the center and then add the gum mix. Fat glob. Every single last drop of the gum
into the center. Oh, it's so messy. Cuz it's hot, you're going to fold it over and incorporate some of the powdered sugar until it's not too sticky. Smells delicious. Once it's got the right texture, it's time to make some cuts. Add a little bit of sugar and shape them to how you want it. I want little cubes like Hubba Bubba. Now that we got our gorgeous pieces of gum, let's test them out. It's disco losing time. It's so soft. I think I might have added too much flavor though. I think my lips are getting more pink as I chew it. Let's see how big of a bubble I can blow.
It's time to make our own gum. Let's make some bubble gum and see what it comes with. This kit comes with gum base, blue raspberry, watermelon, and orange flavoring. It also comes with powdered sugar and maltose, but instead we're going to use a smart sugar like xylitol. It also comes with cute vibrant bubble gum wrappers. Let's rip open the gum base and take a look. Ooh, looks bland. Chewy but bland. Let's add some flavor. I'm thinking we're going to go with this watermelon flavoring. Oh, yeah, that's super powerful cuz it's going to be the flavor of my upcoming toothpaste. Let's bring in the microwave so we can heat up
the gum base so it's a nice sticky liquid. Look at it stretch. Time for the powdered xylitol. Let's pour it in the middle and spread it thin so we can place the sticky bubble gum and stretch and mold it to the shape we want. Let's just roll it flat and give it a quick snip. Time to roll it up and add our label. Let's give this watermelon bubble gum a try. Oh. It's so stretchy. Actually, it's got some pretty good flavor. Now that we know how to make delicious bubble gum, we need a way to dispense it. Up next, we got a double bubble gum machine. Let's rip it open and see what it comes with. A little bit of bubble
gum, we snip and pour into the machine. We got to make sure to pour the gum all the way to the top, add in our coin, and see what color we get. Hmm, green. Toss it in your mouth, give it a couple chews. Now that we know how they work, it's time to build our very own gumball machine. Let's level this up with a giant bubble gum maker. It comes with so many components, so let's snip them together and see what the final product looks like. Time for the bubble gum and let's dispense. Of course, it's watermelon. Now time to make the ultimate bubble gum by combining all the gums together, like Razzles, Big League Chew, Hubble Bubble
Gum, Hubba Bubba, Babaloo, mastic gum, Galaxy Rock, and Grenade Melon Watermelon Slime. This bubble gum concoction's going to be epic. Let's throw it in the magic bubble gum maker machine, melt it together. It kind of looks a little bit icky, but maybe the final product will taste good. It looks absolutely hideous, but I'm going to try it anyway. Here's the final product. It looks so gross. Let's peel it out. Now that's a giant hockey puck of bubble gum. It actually smells really good. I'm getting a lot of grape with a little bit of cotton candy. This thing looks so gross. It looks like a hockey puck turd. Let's give it a try.
This is actually insane. I think I might just created the most delicious bubble gum. I know it doesn't look good, but it tastes spectacular.
