Why I Stopped Posting Videos.. | Transcript:

This is literally my third time trying to record this video. Uh so, I guess hi. Gosh, you probably haven't seen me for a little while. And um there's reasons for that, okay? I'm going to explain that in this video if you care to listen. If you don't care, that's fine, too. I don't mind. Um guys, I haven't been very active lately. I'll be honest. I haven't been posting many YouTube videos, and I'm going to be honest, I'm also taking a break. I'm not quitting YouTube. I love this thing, but I'm taking a little break. And I'm going to tell you everything about it in this video and what my plan is and what I'm doing and what I've been working on. If you care to listen, stick around.

You still here? Good. 12 and 1/2 years ago, I made this YouTube channel. This isn't my first channel, bro. This YouTube thing, I've been doing this for more than 15 years. And that's a long time. I've made more than 7,000 videos in the process. Probably 3 and 1/2 thousand of those are Grand Theft Auto videos, about 2,000 Minecraft videos, and the rest was variation. We did a lot of Fortnite. We did a lot of Among Us. So, yeah, I've been doing this for a while, man, and I guess you could call me an unk now. Like, I have officially reached unk status, bro. My birthday's coming up in a couple of days, and I'm going to turn 30 years old. Bro, 3 0, man. I'm leaving my 20s. Many of

you watching this might not even be 20. Probably a lot of you are actually. A lot of you are probably like around 22, 23. At least most of the people that I meet IRL, like just when I leave my house, basically, they're like 22, I would say. I still have my hair. I'm not bald like DanTDM. He's also an unk. That's my point. And getting older does things to you. I'm not a granddad, bro. Like, I'm not that old, but getting older does things to you. I have different interests as I did 15 years ago when I started this crazy YouTube journey, you know? So, lately, um I've just told myself, "Hey, why don't I focus a little bit more on those

interests and less on this YouTube thing?" I love doing YouTube videos, don't get me wrong, but there's something that's that's kind of holding me back on YouTube, more than one thing actually. Let's start talking about a big decision I did 3 years ago. I left our group, okay? Nobody cares anymore. Uh, Slogo's doing great, Crainer's doing great, I'm doing great. We're all good. That's not what this video is about, but that was obviously a drastic move in my career. Going into a solo adventure, still people are hating me for saying I went solo and then never did. Bro, I went solo, bro. We did five group recordings every single week in a group. After that, I just did things on my own. When

I needed other people in a video, I would call them up, we'd book it in. But, with the people saying that I did not go solo, I mean, bro, whatever. That decision did require me to kind of reinvent myself though, to kind of find, hey, what kind of content do I actually enjoy on my own, right? Cuz I had to motivate myself. I didn't I wasn't being motivated by others in a group, so I had to push myself. And in the group we were doing a lot of Minecraft content. And while I love Minecraft, I don't know. Getting older, your interests change like I just described. So Minecraft just didn't feel right anymore. I still play it occasionally, but bro, I'm not going to make any Spider-Man mod videos in

Minecraft, man. Like, calm down. It's it's Minecraft. I'm almost 30. Now, one game that is so close to my heart, like, you don't want to know how close this game is to my heart, is obviously Grand Theft Auto. THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT, by the way. I know it's coming up soon, GTA 6 is coming, but listen. I was a little boy a long time ago. Okay, well, I'm still little, but when I was young, I think I was like 7 or 8 years old, um, I played a bit of Grand Theft Auto. It was GTA 3 at the time and uh, I wasn't allowed to purchase it. My parents didn't allow me to play the game, so I would always go to my friend's house to play it. A shoutout out Stephon, great guy. He also worked on the Jelly channel for many years. He

let me play Grand Theft Auto and through my friend I fell in love with this game. I bro, went all in on San Andreas mods. It was crazy. Eventually GTA 4 came out. I believe that's in 2008. 18 years ago my guy. I remember going to the store at midnight, standing in line with I think it was it my dad? I don't remember. I was underage. I think my dad might have allowed me at the time. Standing in line at midnight being a young little boy to buy Grand Theft Auto 4. Even though I had school. I mean, it's crazy.

I love this game so much. And that's GTA 4 we're talking about. I know life that game till the very end. Nico Bellic, shout out to you bro. You're a legend. Then I fell in love with other games as well like Call of Duty, started making videos on that. Eventually started making videos about GTA 5 while it wasn't released yet. I think I made my GTA 5 videos channel 3 years before GTA 5 came out. We were doing like analytical type video on GTA 5, talking about rumors, talking about leaks. All that stuff you see with GTA 6 this year is what I was doing 14 years ago on GTA 5 or even longer ago. God, I can't remember. Where I'm going with this is that game was so close to my heart um that when I went solo and I kept going on in

Minecraft and I find I don't enjoy this. Like Minecraft is a great game. I love playing it, but for YouTube content it just doesn't feel organic enough. So I switched. I switched a year and a half ago to playing GTA 5 only. Some videos did meh. And some videos absolutely blew up bro. People loved it when I played a bit of GTA. Yeah, we have like a video with 4 million views, many with a million views. I'll deep dive into why those videos did well in just a little bit and I'll get to why I'm taking a little break in a little bit as well. Don't worry. And I'm telling you something exciting at the end of the video. Don't worry. So stick around with me. But anyway, so that switch was a

great decision. Like seriously. Not only because GTA 6 is coming out in a month or now, but also because I just love GTA. And people could tell when I recorded those GTA 5 videos that I was enjoying that. That's what it matters. That's what matters, right? Like if you can tell I'm not enjoying it, that video is not going to do well. You're like, this guy's just pretending. So, those videos blew up because I spent a lot of time on them. Like I spent weeks and weeks in those videos. But lately past couple of months I've actually decided that I want to slow down on that. So, the production quality on those GTA 5 videos, they were still good, but we're slightly dropping because I was losing interest. I was

losing interest for one main reason. And that reason kind of sucks. So, let's go to the second part that I was talking about. The second part is YouTube. YouTube has a big problem. Okay, it has a huge problem. While I love this platform I think right now in 2026 YouTube is at its hardest stage yet when it comes to making your videos go viral. You see, 10 years ago, I could just record organic content where people could see I was enjoying it, and it would go crazy viral with a very low level of production. But nowadays, those videos I talked about earlier that went viral, I had to spend 2 weeks on or 3

weeks on. Obviously, it was worth it cuz they got the views, but GTA 6 is coming out in a month from now. I'm not going to spend 3 weeks on a banger viral GTA 5 video when nobody will care about that video a week after it comes out. So, I decided like in the summer, like this summer, why am I still spending so much time on these GTA 5 videos? Because those are going to die. So, I decided in summer, I'm going to drop the amount of production. I'm going to make it a little bit easier to record these videos, but then the performance tanks. Because that's what YouTube does now. And I hate it. I love you, YouTube.

Don't get mad at me. But, creators like Mr. Beast and others have leveled up this platform, I suppose in a good way. YouTube is like a serious company now. Like, if you are a YouTuber and you're a popular YouTuber, like, people will respect you now, which is great for me. But, my point is YouTube used to be known for cat videos, videos that were just funny to watch and felt organic. But, now it all has to be this crazy high-level production that you spend weeks and thousands of dollars on. Cuz if you don't do that, your video will not perform. And kind of hate that. Like, gosh, like, it sounds like I'm I'm talking about

complaining that my videos do well. Uh that's not what I'm talking about. I just miss uploading videos that were just fun to make. Like, it didn't have to be this huge production and this huge risk and cost so much money. LIKE, WHY? AH! I SUPPOSE THAT IT THAT DOES HAPPEN, THOUGH, when um there's so much supply, right? Like, the demand of video is huge, but there's also thousands of videos. So, if you have high-level production, you're going to stand out quicker, right? So, I don't know. This summer, I decided let's stop doing these high-production videos. A, they cost a lot of money. They require me a huge team.

Uh And B, they take up so much of my time in summer cuz I was also trying to enjoy my summer. And the fact that GTA 6 coming out in November, I was like, "Bro, why am I doing these videos? Why am I spending weeks of my time on a video that at the end of the year, nobody's going to care about?" Because everyone and their grandma's going to watch GTA 6. Long story short, I took a break. I have been chilling, bro. I have been chilling, and it's been so good. Like, for 15 years, I haven't had such a chill session. [clears throat] And I'm not I'm chilling yet. Uh by the way, I'm I'm going to chill a little harder. Okay. I Actually, in 2 days from now, I'm I'm going on a holiday for 8 days, which is going to be

great. I MEAN, GOSH, I CAN. MY POINT IS I'VE BEEN working hard on those videos, okay? And I've got a big freaking game coming out. For those of you worried who are watching this video and being like, "Is he going to make videos on GTA 6?" Brother, of course I'm going to make videos on GTA 6. My plan is to upload daily, of course. Daily is a must. Um whether I'm able to regarding edits and production level, I don't know. We're going to try it with daily, see how it goes. If we need to level the up if we need to level up the production, we'll level up the production and the content will be a little bit more irregular. I'll also be streaming it on YouTube and Twitch. So, you'll definitely see me every single

day playing that freaking video game, man. Don't worry about it. And of course, when GTA 6 online comes out, you'll be seeing a ton of group content. But, it's never going to be like the old days. Not because we're not getting any groups together, but because you are old now, my guy. All [screaming] right? That's the truth. I mean, it's just the truth. That dopamine feeling you had back in those days that this it's not coming back. I'm sorry. You just got to rewatch the old content. So, even though the production or the upload level hasn't been as frequent, I've been having a great time, man. I'm going to be honest. It's actually been nice saying like, "You know what? I have done this job for so long, I should

probably not care for a little bit right now." I mean, why would I care about posting YouTube videos on A 13-YEAR-OLD GAME WHEN THE NEW ONE'S COMING IN A MONTH? I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CARE ABOUT THAT. SO, I'm going on holiday, guys. Again, I've been on some already, but I'm I'm going again. And once that game comes out, once GTA 6 comes out, I'll be locked into this basement, my guy. Don't all leave yet because I've been working on something, though. I've been working on something that has been taking up a lot of my time over the year, but just progressively. It's very, very different. And uh you know, I'm not going to spoil what it is yet, but I've been working on something and I'm going to upload it

probably the first week in November. That's my goal. And uh it's going to be sick. It's going to be insane. It's going to be incredible. A little cringe maybe, but it's going to be insane. I don't want to spoil it yet. You can try and guess in the comments what I've been working on, but it's huge. So, while I'm on holiday, I will keep working on that. Um it's mostly done already. It's just finalizing it. I can't talk about it. Gosh. It's something that I don't need to be at my desk for. Let's just say it like that, okay? And I'm kind of nervous about dropping that video, to be honest. I'm

really nervous about dropping that. The next proper video that you'll see for me is going to be that one, but there might be a follow-up video where I talk a little bit more about it and I'll potentially tell you what it is. I don't know. I don't know what I have planned right now cuz I'm I'm going on holiday and I couldn't care less about thinking about it right now. So, yeah. That's what I wanted to talk about, man. I hope you understand that I have not been posting frequently and I hope you understand that I'm I'm I'm taking a break. I'm so excited to get to GTA 6, though. I'm just so excited.

Like, I want to make videos, right? But, there's just no point right now. There is literally no point. And this is my last moment to just enjoy myself without having that stress or that worry about needing to perform on an online platform. So, thank you so much for listening to me yap. I appreciate you. I can't wait to show you what I've got and uh yeah, peace.
