Today we have adopters coming in from Arkansas who are about to form a new family together and I think this is a great first step for them. Hi guys. Hey. Hello. I'm Mariah. Nice to meet you. I'm Andy. Nice to meet you. Hi guys. Nice to meet you. Mariah. I feel like this adoption, it's kind of a way to bring the family together. It's a new chapter in their life. We're actually going to go to our little uh adoption trailer over here. My name is Andy and I'm from Arkansas. I brought uh Brianna, my future wife, and Brianna's two kids, Gabe and Jaci.

You guys can sit on the couch. We've been together for 7 years. We're now engaged. Our home is perfect for a dog. And it's the missing piece. It is. There you go. My one wish would be to just find like the dog that goes so well with our family. You're welcome, guys. I really look forward to, you know, giving these dogs a better life. So, why don't you guys just tell me I mean a little bit about your family? I've grown up with dogs. He's grown up My last dog, her name was Sarah. She was a white pitbull. I found her as a stray in the neighborhood. She ended up coming down with mass cell cancer.

Unfortunately, it was a tumor on her nose, so they couldn't remove it. But she lived over a year with a diagnosis and she never gave up strong till the end. How old was she when she passed? Um about eight years. Losing Sarah was difficult and it's taken us 3 years and we are finally at a point where we're ready to give another dog a wonderful loving home. Are you guys like a more active like you guys outdoors a lot? We're not really super active because we more or less chill at home.

What I look for is just one that's wagging his tail and wants the affection, just lays on top of us. We prefer an indoor dog. Yeah. You know, I wanted to come here open-minded and, you know, have the dog adopt us as far as their energy and how they felt towards us, which everyone wants to be part of our family. Anyways, we're going to start with Anthony. He's just like a sweet special boy. Anthony came to us. It was a dog fighting bust in Hemstead, New York. All the dogs that came with Anthony during that rescue, my mom named after different Italian mobsters and their wives. Anony's the last one left out of the whole group.

This is Tony. Anthony Soprano. A go say hi. He's all right now. He's getting pet. He said, "No, done. It's those nails." Oh, yeah. It's totally fine. Oh, and this is what we said. There goes my neutral. Uh-huh. Definitely feels like an old soul. He like came in and just like almost immediately laid down and just let us pet him the whole time and he didn't really want to leave. Can I come down here with you? I have pet. Lay it on. Anthony was a great dog. I was just afraid he may be a little bit too low of energy for us.

Come on. Good boy. Come on. Tony. Oh my gosh. Please. All right, sir. Okay. Good boy. Here you go, Spencer. With Anthony being a little too relaxed for these adopters, I wanted to bring in one of the spunkiest dogs that I know. Go was found as a stray. One of her front legs was broken and she had to limp on it for a really long time. She healed pretty well. Her name suits her. Go- go. I feel like there's no other name that she should have. I ain't going to wait then. We ain't going to wait. Come on. She was say hi. Like a hurricane. Say, I'm so excited. Her name suits her well.

Woo. Go. She is like a little ball of energy. She was really cute. Go. She does everything with enthusiasm. That's why she's fun. Go was all over the place. She had a little bit too much energy. All right. Go. The next dog I wanted to show isn't quite as spunky as Go- Go, but the epitome of a pit bull. BFG was tied to the friend of our friends and I believe there was a note tied to him as well. So he was somebody's dog. I don't remember who named him BFG but for us it stands for big friendly giant because he is so huge but he is the sweetest boy

ever. Yeah. When he meets you at first he's just like in your face but he calms down a lot. Can we sit? Good. Other one. Good boy. We're not done yet. Go. Good boy. Yeah. I got to get down here. I got to get We have to keep him at a pretty low weight because he has really bad trachea damage. He was tied up to the rescue, but we walk him with a harness. And now it's gotten a lot better. Oh man. And we know that special needs dogs sometimes are a little harder to people don't really want to take the extra time or precaution. Of course, man. He's awesome.

Oh my goodness. We loved everything about BFG. He was super relaxed. I mean, he came right to the whole family and just laid there. Just let us love on him. I really like that. He's so happy. He is, isn't he? He's just very content. He just seemed like a really good dog to like lay down and like cuddle with. And that was what I really liked that he was just really comfortable around us. And we were pretty comfortable around him, too. He's social but also a couch potato. He perfect. Yeah.

He's the gentlest, easygoing dog that I've ever met. BFG is special. He really is. Are you getting caught up in He's holding hands. It's ridiculous. Are you getting caught up in my hands? BFG might fit in the most with the family. Like there was definitely a connection. Well, we know who you like. I totally in love with BFG. I do think BFG is that final piece, you know? I think he knows that he's got his forever home with us.

Are you going to be my dog? Hang on, buddy. See you later, big guy. See you later. They just instantly connected with BFG. As soon as he came in, he just kind of melted. I will see you guys soon. Have fun tonight. BFG kind of has a hard time on a leash. He pulls a lot and he's a strong dog, so I really want to try and work on his leash training before we bring him to Arkansas. Everything's hills. Yeah, this is amazing. Andy's a chef, so Andy loves to come out here and smoke and grill. So when Andy showed me his outdoor smoker and he had ribs in there and I'm like, "Really, dude?" I think it's going to be

like the porch, watch Andy cook some awesome food out the front door on a walk. You know, that's going to be the extent of BFG's life, which is perfect. We will just do it right here. I'm excited to see BFG again and kind of hoping that he'll remember us. Hi, bud. I'm going to try not to cry. Seeing BFG coming up to our home, having that first look was amazing. Say hi to him. Hey, what's going on? Yeah, he's been all over the place on this trip. He's like, "What's going on?" Get some joggers. Super pretty boy.

Getting some sugar and calm. You know, you could tell that BFG was a little bit nervous, but that's to be expected. But typical BFG, and it only took him about a minute to just get warmed up and feel comfortable again. His thing is, like I said, which makes it counterproductive with his trachea problem is he pulls on the leash. Come on. Come here, buddy. Come over here. Come here. So, both of the adopters have had dogs before, but you know, walking with this type of a harness picks up a lot of patience. So, I wanted to make sure that they understood that. Very treat motivated. Um, let's try to walk over here in this shade.

It's definitely important that we get all the harness and leashes right for TRA issue just so that he doesn't get loose or hurt himself. He's ready to go in and goodness. Okay. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Here, you can go ahead and I'll come in behind. Hey, can you buddy? Can you wait a second? That's awesome. BFG coming in and going straight for the toys was exactly what I was hoping for. Look at all your stuff. Oh yeah, he's got a nice orthopedic bed. And look at the stuff. The fact that BFG was able to get in there and play with toys and stuff, he was already like, "Vobosmeos, who are you?" So you're going to have all kinds of toys.

That's when you know you've done your job. It's going to be your buddy. The best part of having BFG here is so we can have somebody to cuddle with and, you know, we can just pour our love into him. Oh my goodness. Gracious. BFG is definitely at home now. He has nothing to worry about. You are gorgeous. BFG is going to be spoiled. Rotten to the core. I can tell that. Rotten. All right, BFG. What do you think, bud? BFG was absolutely the missing piece to our family. He's going to have a wonderful home.

All right, you guys. Thank you. You're lucky you get to live in Arkansas.
