Welcome to our studio. Our first game of the weekend has already concluded. I'm Rebecca Lowe with Tim Howard and Danny Higginbotham. Let's see what happened in Suffolk during Storm Austin. The conditions were bad for a match, but most players in England are used to it. And it was a decent game, Dan. Yes, and it was a great start for Nottingham Forest too. And this is a typical Glasner goal. Both wingers can be seen advancing. Muñoz had a very good race. He sends a great cross into the area and then Williams, the opposite wing-back, appears to send the ball into the back of the net. But you can see that Williams doesn't appear in the picture for a
moment. He's just calculating his career. Here's Muñoz. He keeps moving forward, gets behind, and then raises his hand. It's a perfect race. And it's a perfect pass too. It's simply a great finish. A very good goal from Nottingham Forest to give them that early lead. But one of the problems Nottingham Forest has had has been finding the bottom of the net. And this was a very good opportunity. This is finally cleared. But it's another good play down the right wing. The ball crosses. It looks like he's going off course. Defended well by Davies. It didn't look like it was going to go in deep, but it was a good opportunity nonetheless. And then, suddenly, Ince managed to tie the game. Milinkovic makes
a serious mistake. Try to play the ball backwards. He didn't put enough force into it. And then Ince gets his reward for his work ethic here. He doesn't give up on anything. And he still has plenty of time to think here. We can see that the goalkeeper is out of his line. He can't get the best angle. And it's a good finish to tie the game. So it's 1-1 at halftime. In the second half, both think it should have been a red card. Therefore, Tim, they both believe the referee made a mistake. Well, I think so. I think the ball is there. It's simply a touch in a straight line. Davies won't catch him. And you can see the perspective and everything. So for me, this is a goal-scoring opportunity.
Unfortunately, the referee and VAR consider it an interruption of a promising attack, not an obvious opportunity. So he stays on the field with only a yellow card and, ultimately, a free kick. This is a very good pass, it reaches Andros, who positions his feet well. Shoot to the far post and you can see that they close it down from all angles. Once again, Leif Davis comes to the rescue of the goalkeeper. He might go in or he might not, but the defender didn't necessarily know. Here is Andros. I think he does a good job trying to head in his own direction, maybe the connection wasn't clean. He does the right thing.
Try to find the far post. That's where the space is, but perhaps it drags a little in the 92nd minute, already too late. You see Clark.he's always walking away, look at this angle. It's tilting. If it were a pass to the post. Five minutes; 11 goals this season had come in stoppage time, but this time it wasn't to be. Interesting shots of the two leaving the field, the technical director and the captain; Much work to be done for Nottingham Forest. Their last four games: three defeats and tonight's draw. The four that are coming. They visit Brentford on Halloween and then host Manchester City before the November international break. After that, they visit Bournemouth and host Chelsea.
They only have one win to their name. Let's hear from Captain Morgan Gibbs-White. Morgan, a competitive match, a positive performance, but how frustrating is it to leave the game with only one point? I feel like that's the topic of conversation right now. We've had many good performances recently and we've never managed to get those final three points to cross the finish line. Again tonight we felt we had many opportunities. The first half was a bit uneven. They had control, we had control, and then I think in the second half we completely dominated and, in my opinion, we should have won the game. But yes, as long as we continue performing like this and maintaining this level of play, the victories
will have to come. They had many opportunities, 17 shots in total. Can you point out what's happening with those final decisions that aren't working out in their favor? Honestly, I couldn't give you an answer. That's the question we've been asking ourselves in training every week. We've been doing shooting drills and everything, and if you could see how we shot yesterday before the game, it was at a very high level. Unfortunately, they simply couldn't get in today. Well, as I said, it's a topic of conversation. It's not enough. But I'm proud of the lads for carrying on and maintaining a high level of play.
Yes. When you play well and don't get the points you want, the results you desire, do you feel it's more of a mental issue at that point? Perhaps it's just a matter of accumulating those opportunities and not managing to capitalize on them. Of course, it's a matter of mindset. And I think it's just a bit of bad luck that we're going through. So we just have to stay positive. Maintain team unity, maintain the right mindset, and continue to deliver good performance. And you know, if we keep playing like this every week, our luck is bound to change.
One point, a great moment in the game was Issa Diop's yellow card. How did you see that moment? Because there are many Forest fans frustrated that he didn't receive a red card. I think it's hard to say. It's hard to say because you don't know if Mac is going to arrive or not. My only question is, why does it have to go to VAR for review when the linesman and referee are standing right there watching? I don't understand why it has to go to VAR to be reviewed. It should be a field decision at that very moment. And then VAR can review it, but I think I somewhat agree with the decision because whether Mac was going to arrive or not, nobody knows. But he's the last man standing, so.
Yes. There was no decision on the field. VAR had to intervene. So this is your main frustration For me, yes, 100%. I think there needs to be a little more responsibility in the field. And yes, it's that simple. The referee and the linesman can clearly see what has happened. And I think we wait for VAR to intervene all the time instead of making real decisions right there on the field and keeping the game flowing naturally. But like I said, it is what it is. We can't look at that and say that's the reason we didn't win the game. We need to take responsibility and seize our opportunities. And we didn't do it again today. So, hopefully, as I said, if they maintain this performance, we'll get the results
Yes, and how do you ensure you continue to foster that mindset? Maintaining unity within the group every day, being positive and keeping the energy and good vibes going in training. Um, and simply continue to improve our performance. That's all we can do. Well, you came into the room saying that you ran a lot. You're the player of the match. Well done. Thanks, guys. Thank you. It's surprising, isn't it? The Forest captain taking the title of man of the match. In the top half, Ipswich has climbed to ninth place. They have 10 points from eight games. A steady start, but of course, this is just the beginning of the weekend. This entire
upper half is likely to change significantly over the course of the next two days. The same can be said regarding the lower half. Nottingham Forest are currently out of the bottom three where they started earlier today, and are in 16th place. Spurs, Coventry and Fulham have dropped down, with everyone around them still to play this weekend, of course.
