heyy oh let's do this is one small step for Cam man oh my god I didn't even mean to do that one giant leap for cind maybe is that good all right let's go they did it so there's a new snapshot 24w 33a so if you go to create a new Minecraft world go to experiments Minecart improvements improved movement for Minecarts on I'm so happy I actually can't believe it I actually cannot believe it this might be the best day of my life so upon entering your first mine cart you might notice it's the same speed but they did a lot of stuff and a lot of stuff is on the way first of all they added this option in accessibility settings rotate with mine carts you can turn that on and now whenever you go around Corners it'll
automatically rotate your camera I think this is already a thing in Bedrock Edition but it's a nice little option but let's get to the good part I can't OptiFine Zoom because it's a snapchot but we have a new game rule you know okay this savan is just ugly let me go anywhere else we have a new game rule Minecart Max Speed let's just up that a bit for our next demonstration all right let's just see how fast this is to okay that's really oh my God that is really fast okay oh bouncing back yeah so this is literally vanilla Minecraft all this is a game rule and you can get mine carts to go pretty much as fast as you want but this is just the start okay this requires a game rule wait what

without a game rule well the speed is with a game rule but the jump just watch this oh my God it's so cool wait I wonder if you take fall damage in this I'm guessing not cuz boats you don't take fall damage do we over no I think we're good I don't think you'll okay you take fall damage what if you land on a rail all right okay if you land on the rail you don't take fall damage what if you just Crouch at the last second let's see oh easy half a heart so you can do that too now as I said the jumping mechanic is just pure vanilla no commands or anything but the actual speed was with the command so if we go back to default you might notice it's a little bit slower and the jump is uh a little bit shorter now that's
honestly a big Improvement compared to the old one which would have just Fallen straight off but compared to what we could have it feels pretty lame but just wait I kind of wonder if you skip rails is it still going to hold the momentum oh that was kind of cool but it doesn't hold its momentum okay good to know what if you do like this ooh okay that does work wait what if you do that oh wait a second this might be new tech oh okay wait oh my God this is vanilla this is regular Minecart speed by the way this is mine carart speed is currently eight this is regular okay so you go three blocks that way two blocks up all right let's see there's like seven of those I'm not sure if it's
going to keep the speed though let's see go okay it doesn't I'm stupid maybe if you do it in doubles it'll keep its speed okay here it is with the double method go Okay it definitely needs work but there's also definitely some ways you can save rails uh by using the jump feature so that's kind of cool also if you didn't notice the mineart now like tilts up and down whenever you ride it so that's pretty cool it's it's a little bit wonky but so you're probably thinking right now like this isn't even cool why are you celebrating Minecarts are still slow they're not even faster but remember how I said this was an experiment well let's read the change log for this snapshot Minecart
improvements added a new experiment containing various movement changes to Minecarts this can be enabled by selecting Minecart improvements in the experiments menu when creating a world our long-term goal is to make a vehicle travel like Minecarts a viable option compared to other late game options which currently dominate most play Styles this is literally the cman 18 argument to achieve this we aim to make writing Minecarts a smooth experience with consistent and predictable motion and rotation with this feature toggle we are laying a foundation to build upon in the future so are Minecarts faster no but Mojang has made it pretty clear that this isn't the final version of this
Minecart update and Minecarts aren't even close to a viable Transportation compared to the elytra and with all these random new features they're adding I think it's pretty clear that the minecart speed buff is coming like they're literally saying we are laying a foundation to build upon in the future and that you know all experiments you never know what's going to actually make to the game so it's ever changing and that ever changing will be faster mine carts I just know it I can see it in the form of a plain speed increase cuz they literally added the game rule or maybe in the form of a new rail that makes it go faster cuz copper still has no uses and you can get a ton of it super easily
and I've seen a bunch of people suggesting that but I don't care how they do it I don't care when they okay I kind of care when they do it hopefully it's it's going to be soon I know it but the war is not over okay we don't have it yet they're still listening to feedback don't let any of these other YouTubers tell you oh my roller coaster going to be broken now no one cares soon we're going to have roller coasters that can do this and it'll be way farther and faster cuz they're going to buff mine cart speed they are I know they are for anyone new who doesn't know like over 2 years ago at this point I uploaded a video called Fix mine carts in all caps complaining about this the same argument
they're using that the elytras are way too op and Minecarts are garbage and for two long years I've been complaining to extend the watch time of my video but also cuz it's it's like so it why mine carts are so slow feel like I need to give like a like an acceptance speech or something you know I'd like to thank Mojang you know I couldn't be here without them want to thank the academy you know all the people that came before me ant venom Captain Sparkles Seth bling but mainly I need to thank Mojang you know people hate on this game a lot mainly because the mine carts are slow but you know mo you did a good job this time okay and I know that means a lot coming from me right yeah okay and you know who knows if I had any impact
