There have been new Israeli air strikes and artillery fire across the Gaza Strip. Five people were killed in a drone strike on a van in Gaza City. Several others were injured. A number of buildings were also bombed in the Alto neighborhood while drones and quadcopters continued flying at low altitudes overnight. That's despite the US brokerage ceasefire that was agreed in October 2025. Well, Hendel is live for us now from Gaza City. Hend, good to see you. What more can you tell us about these latest strikes?
Well, the latest strike was on a vehicle on a Volkswagen bus that was actually a transportation vehicle that was carrying people who were transporting from uh the north to the south. Now, this is a bus that also have a wheelcar extension that also had passengers on this vehicle. and the Israeli forces targeted uh this uh bus [clears throat] in the past couple uh of minutes in Talhawa in the Gazul City. At least five uh have been uh reported killed and we're talking about at least 15 others that are injured. Most of those injuries are critically injured according to doctors. They said that it's very hard uh for them to save lives in uh the current situation where the health sector is deteriorating. But uh doctors also said that uh the number
of people killed from this attack may increase in the next upcoming hours. This was not the only attack since the early hours of the morning. There was also a tent in Al-Mwasi uh where four Palestinians were injured and transferred to a hospital. There was also an apartment that was targeted where 21-year-old Iman uh was killed in this attack. This is supposed to be ceasefire, but there is no way uh the violations by the Israeli forces to the ceasefire uh seems to end where every single day Palestinians continue to be killed, injured, more restrictions, and the humanitarian situation is also deteriorating.
Yeah, Hind, I'm glad you mentioned those violations of the ceasefire. We talked a moment ago, we reminded our viewers about the fact that there was a ceasefire that was agreed to, a US broker ceasefire agreed to in October 2025. And yet, despite that, on a near daily basis, there are these violations. There are attacks that continue. I just want to ask you how that's impacting the daily lives of people there. It's terrifying. The fear is comping everyone [snorts] inside the strip where you're scared to go to the supermarket. You're scared to take your children uh to school. You're scared to live your daily life. And as you see, people are were targeted
today as they were on a public transportation vehicle in the middle of the street in a very busy street. And we saw women, we saw children, we saw everyone impacted by this attack. And it's not only that. Winter is approaching. People are not only trying to protect themselves from the air strikes, but they're also trying to protect themselves from the winter, the storm, the wind, the rain. And there's a lot to cope and there's a lot uh to manage here in Gaza. But the Israeli forces continue their violations. And it's not only uh the violations of attacks but also the restriction of freedom of movement, the restriction of medications and medicines that are not entering the Gaza Strip, tarps, uh
humanitarian aid and also shelter items. So all of these restrictions continue and also uh the Israeli or air force continues to attack. So the situation is actually deteriorating and people do not have any options or any chance to do anything other than surviving these attacks and hoping they won't be killed by them. That's hinder live for us with all the latest from Gaza City. Hind as always, thank you so much for your reporting.
