Hi lovelies. Today I'm sharing a brand new smoothie recipe that my kids and I can just not get enough of these days. What's amazing about it is that it's packed with nutrition, but it also happens to taste really, really delicious. And it's made with simple ingredients that you probably already have at home. Now, just before we get to that, I want to remind you guys that our amazing meal planning site, Healthy Meal Plans, is here to make your lives in the kitchen easier. It allows you to browse more than 1,000 recipes, drag and drop them into your weekly meal plan, and then automatically generates your grocery list for the week. How great is that?

Once you're done watching this yummy video, I hope you will check it out and that you can use it as a tool to keep your eating on track all year long. So, for those of you who might be new to the channel, you might not know that I actually started this channel pretty much with smoothies. One of my first videos ever was five healthy smoothies, and it went gangbusters. And because of that, I've probably shared almost 100 smoothies now. So many, in fact, that I've run out of names for them. So, I'm not even sure really what I'm going to call this one. But just know, it is green, it is great for you, it is delicious, and my kids absolutely love it.

Now, for this smoothie, I'm starting with a base of oat milk. But you can use pretty much any kind of milk you want. I've used nut milk here, I've used dairy milk before, I've used soy milk. So, there's so many options. Use whatever kind of milk makes you happy. Then, to my milk, I'm going to go ahead and add my greens. So, in this recipe, I'm opting for some baby spinach cuz I just happened to have some on hand in my refrigerator. But I will be honest with you, any kind of greens will work. If you have got kale on hand, that's fine. Arugula is great. Whatever kind of greens you've got, toss them into your blender. For the fruit in this recipe, I am using some mango. I love the flavor of mango.

It's a little tart, it's got a nice sweetness, it's so flavorful, and my kids happen to just really love mango. In fact, Cole to this day when I go and pick him out of his crib, will often say, "Mango, mango, mango, mango." It was one of the first words he ever said. So, mango it is. And then to my mango, I'm also going to add some banana. So, I know there are a lot of smoothie banana haters out there. If you are one of them, you go ahead and leave the banana out. It is totally fine. I like adding the banana because it adds a little bit of richness and creaminess and sweetness to my smoothie uh without having to add any additional sugar. But, you go ahead and skip it if you don't want it in

here. It is absolutely fine. Along with my banana, I also like to add some avocado for even more great creamy texture, but also for some filling healthy fats. And the thing about smoothies is if you don't make them with a good amount of fat in them, you're not going to feel full for very long. So, I always think it's really important to add a source of fat, whether it be a nut butter, some yogurt, or an avocado like I'm doing here. You want something that's got a bit of staying power. An avocado definitely has that. For a nice little hit of protein and extra nutrition, I'm also adding some hemp hearts. In my house, we call them sprinkles. My kids love them. Um and so I add them to pretty much everything I can get away with. So, into the blender

that all goes, and I'm just going to pop the lid on and get this whirling away. It's the best part about a smoothie, right? The blender really does all the work. I like letting it blend up for at least 2 to 3 minutes just to make sure it's nice and smooth. And it doesn't take long for the magic to happen. There is a lot of green goodness going on in this blender. I'm just going to transfer it to a glass and enjoy it as my morning sip. Oh, yeah. Now, that is a gloriously green way to start your day. Seriously, it's a must try.

It is so smooth and creamy, just sweet enough, very delicious, and super nutritious. So, there's so much love.
