And here we are with days literally running out of October and it's well, it's very obvious what our top stories are. You look out west the cold. That's a big emphasis for Thursday and across the Great Lakes the warmth. So those two contrasting areas the heat the warmth and the cold and the snow and that's going to be the big divide if you will thanks to the jet stream. Out west temperatures are basically 9 10 degrees below normal around 10 degrees above normal through Windsor, Toronto and London. And this is all once again driven by the jet stream big dip out west that's the trough and a spin of low pressure cut off from the flow. That's going to still control the weather across southern BC for the day Thursday,
Thursday night and into Friday. It does look like it will be drying out but still remaining cooler than average as we get into this weekend as we say farewell to October and hey there November and of course there's this Halloween thing Saturday evening. Looks dry BC but it looks cool. Cooler than normal across the east as well. Plume of moisture moving through the Great Lakes cold front moving through rain a few thunderstorms non-severe in nature. Cold front then drives its way across Atlantic Canada very fast moving out west you're basically drying out but it is cold enough for snow and that's going to be the story across the region for Alberta, Saskatchewan and central and northern Manitoba until high pressure
builds on in and that will clear things out. BC you got that spin of low pressure across the south coast and the end result will be some much needed rainfall and some high elevation snowfall as well. Whistler at 3 degrees, 9 through Vancouver as well as Victoria. Through the prairies it's cold especially across Alberta minus 2 your projected high in Calgary, 2 in Saskatoon, 7 in Winnipeg. Winnipeg maybe a couple of hit or miss showers through the morning and early afternoon. Flurries and pockets of light snow will clear off towards the east and even though low pressure will kind of lift back in across BC it's not going to really do that much as that persistent spin just sits there like a bully, but
unsettled weather as opposed to stormy. And once again, across the Prairie Provinces, we are clearing out despite holding on to seasonably cool conditions. Uh in terms of rainfall across the South Coast of BC, uh once again, 10 to 20, maybe 25 mm worth of rainfall across Alberta. It all depends on your location. Uh it looks like Calgary, a couple of centimeters can't be ruled out, but the bulk of it would be during the morning and then clearing as we get into the afternoon, but look at the temperature contrast, gradually climbing out of the deep freeze. Uh across the Great Lakes, temperatures more like
summer, 21° in Toronto, 23 through Windsor. Across Quebec, temperatures are in the mid to upper teens. Some areas such as Montreal flirting with 20. And across Atlantic Canada, uh across Newfoundland, Labrador, you're still cooler than normal. Across the Maritimes, you're back into the double digits. Once again, cold front showers, maybe a few thunderstorms down towards Windsor and London, non-severe nature. Cold front then moves its way towards Atlantic Canada through Friday morning and afternoon, and then begins to clear off towards the east. Some residual showers, see effect flurries and showers as well, depending on the time
frame, and that will continue through Sunday uh pardon me, Saturday evening and Saturday night. In terms of rainfall, it will be fairly widespread, but not much measurable rainfall across the GTA. In terms of temperatures, well, that's the big focal point for Thursday, then cooling Friday, Saturday.
