The lineup for the Freedom 250 concert series celebrating America's 250th anniversary continues to shrink as more artists pull out of the event. We've got more on the growing backlash surrounding the Freedom 250 Festival in today's page six headlines. Several musicians have backed out of the Trump affiliated Freedom 250 presents the Great American State Fair, a free 16-day festival set for the National Mall in Washington, D.C. from June 25th through July 10th. Martina McBride announced she was dropping out after claiming she was initially told the event would be non-partisan and focus on celebrating all 50 states, but later felt it became something more divisive. Bret Michaels also exited the lineup saying the

festival had evolved into something different from the patriotic music celebration he originally agreed to support while also citing safety concerns after threats were made against him and his team. Young MC said artists were never informed about political involvement tied to the event, while Morris Day and the Time and the Commodores also confirmed they would no longer perform. Meanwhile, acts including Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida, and C + C Music Factory are still expected to appear with some performers defending their decision to stay on the lineup despite backlash from fans. And as the concert controversy continues to grow, organizers are still moving forward with the patriotic festival planned for America's milestone birthday celebration.

Next, Dennis Quaid is trying to officially end his child support payments to ex-wife Kimberly Buffington for their 18-year-old twins. The actor filed court documents in Los Angeles requesting to terminate the $13,750 monthly payments tied to their children, Thomas and Zoe, after both recently graduated high school. According to the filing, Quaid cited terms from the couple's 2018 divorce agreement stating support would end once the twins completed 12th grade. He also requested that any additional yearly payment tied to earnings above $1.3 million be pro-rated based on the twins' graduation dates rather than his full annual income. Quaid and Buffington finalized their divorce in 2018 after years of on-and-off split filings, and they

agreed to joint legal and physical custody of the twins who were born via surrogate in 2007. The actor previously attempted to lower his support payments in 2020 before later agreeing to continue paying based on the children's reasonable needs. Quaid has since remarried and recently described his relationship with wife Laura Savoie as the closest relationship he's ever had. Finally, another one of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children is taking legal steps to drop Pitt's last name. Their son Maddox filed court documents requesting to legally change his name from Maddox Chivan Jolie Pitt to Maddox Chivan Jolie, listing the reason simply as personal. The filing comes after Maddox had already informally stopped

using Pitt's surname in credits for Angelina Jolie's recent film Couture, where he was listed as Maddox Jolie. His younger sister Shiloh also legally dropped Pitt from her last name shortly after turning 18 last year. A move that sources previously said deeply affected the actor. Reports have also described Pitt's relationships with several of his children as strained, while some of the siblings have publicly stopped using his surname at graduations, playbills, and other events. The latest filing arrives amid Pitt and Jolie's ongoing legal tensions even after their divorce settlement was finalized in late 2024.

Pitt has continued dating Ines de Ramon, while Jolie remains focused on her film projects and family. For more of today's biggest stories, head to pagesix.com.
