And I'm going for the exact same score. I'm going for a 3-1 win for Everton Ali, I can't disagree with you on this. I simply won't do this for a minute. I just said that wrong. I'm going for a 3-1 win for Chelsea, Steven. Apparently, when I saw your head come into the shot. Okay, welcome aboard. The time has come again. Time for predictions, for the first time this is done live from the Winnebago before Manchester City vs Paris Saint-Germain. Coisty appears to be in the back of a police car, which, based on last week, is exactly where he should be. Because it was a crushing victory for me, Coisty, last week. 9-4, I'm up 42-37. How do you feel?
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you. I think, I think, I think it was deserved. I think you, I think a couple of results were fantastic and they really benefited you. Ipswich, for example. And was it Brighton against Sunderland? Yes. And you even confidently predicted a Coventry home win against Newcastle. So sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the opposition, and that's what I'm doing now. Yes. So, five points ahead for you last week, and five points ahead for me last week. So, we're back to where we were before. So, I'm in the Winnebago. I have Steven Gerrard over there. So, Stevie will come and give me
a prediction in a minute. So, I'm going to use it in a minute. But, it's my turn to go first. The first of the week, Everton-Chelsea, TNT Sports, 12:30. This is going to be a good match. Again, Coisty is one of those, he's like an unstoppable force against an immovable object. Moyes will have Everton organized. They're playing at home, a small advantage. But you know what I like? Chelsea in the match. Because I think they score a lot of goals. I'm not necessarily sure if it turns into that kind of match, where Everton can keep up with them. I like that trio of Palmer, Rogers and Pedro much more than Tierney and Barry in this game. So, but I think they'll
concede goals again. So, I'm going with Everton 1, Chelsea 3 to kick off the weekend. A good away win for Chelsea Dude, you're not going to believe this. With the goal-scoring phenomenon that Jordan Henderson is right now, I couldn't agree with you more. In fact, I couldn't agree with you more. And I have to promise you that I've chosen the exact same scoreboard. I think I agree with you about Everton. I think they're good defensively, but I'm not sure they can handle this powerful Chelsea attack that's capable of scoring for fun.
TRUE. We saw it last week against Bournemouth. I think Everton will score. Yes. And I'm going for the exact same score. I'm going for a 3-1 win for Everton. Ali, I can't go against you on this. This is all I want. Oh, wait a minute. I just said that wrong. I'm going for a 3-1 win for Chelsea, Steven. Apparently, but I saw your head appear on camera a moment ago. Yes. You know what, Coisty? If you keep copying mine, you'll get more points, but you'll never catch me. That's the only problem.
Okay, let's do the next one. It's your turn to go first. And the next one for this week, Brentford vs Liverpool truly believe that. I mean, I thought Liverpool played well against City until the sending-off and the game changed drastically. Brentford is a very, very, very tough nut to crack at the moment. Um, actually I'm going to bet, believe it or not, on a Brentford home win. That's how it is. Is Steven off-camera there? Is he on-camera? I'm back. Oh, no. I'm sorry, friend. I'm going for a 2-1 Brentford win. Wow. Well, listen, I, I, I checked the, I checked the, you know, when you read the fine print of these contracts? He says that when you're leading and you've just had a
five-point week where you won by five, you can bring in a guest to make one of your predictions. So, Stevie is going to do the Brentford-Liverpool game for me. And I can guarantee you one thing, he's not going to go for a Brentford win. , what I would say is that I think it's a very difficult game for Liverpool in these circumstances with so many forwards out and injured. There are rumors that Szoboszlai might arrive in time, which would be a great help. Um, and I think considering everything , I think it could be a tie, a tie with goals. So what do you think? One, one. We're going one by one this way. Oh, just to let you know Coisty, Owen Hargreaves is currently in makeup. And when Owen Hargreaves comes out of makeup,
he's going to do one too. We just need to see if there's enough of a base left to get it ready for tonight's game. I have that, I have that as a 90-minute job. Next up, Ali. Fulham vs Hull. My turn. Difficulties. Uh, I have to go up against the mighty Tigers, though. I'm betting on Fulham at home. Hey. They also made a couple of mistakes against Everton, which is unusual for them. But I'm going with Fulham. Fulham with a home win. I'm going with Fulham two, Hull zero. Cute and simple.
Well, I'm not going for the same thing, but I'm pretty close to going for the same thing I think Fulham's luck has to change. It simply has to change. Hull have been excellent. We enjoyed watching Hull, you and I. You've had to swallow your pride regarding the Hull lads. I must say it's been very good to see you swallow that pride. Uh, I don't see them winning. I think they will lose at Fulham this weekend. However, I think they will score. Good. Understood. Yes. I'm swallowing my pride with the Hull fans, but not as big a portion as Joe Cole, who's still trying to finish his after what he said before the
season opener. Good. Next up, Coisty. Joe will continue to chew on his pride for quite some time. Yes, this is your turn, but the warning is that I have supported Ipswich a lot so far this season, but this will be a test for me. Manchester City vs Ipswich at the Etihad, what do you think? Uh, I thought Manchester City's level of finishing against Liverpool was absolutely top-notch, as good as you'll see. They didn't do well against Coventry at home, I must say, Manchester City. Yes. And that gives me something to think about. I think they will win the game, and I think they will win it quite comfortably. And I'm going for a Manchester City victory, three goals to zero.
I'm with you. But I think this City team is already up and running. And I know they didn't beat Coventry by a huge margin, but I think they're going to win this. I'm not sure whether to go for four or five here. And I can do it this week because I've been good to Ipswich since they were promoted. I'm going for four. I'm going with Manchester City four, Ipswich zero. And I have the full approval here. Yes, from the former Liverpool and England captain. So for now I'm playing with the house money. Did I hear the former Liverpool and England captain click his tongue at my prediction of three to zero? He shook his head so hard that the motorhome moved, I assure you.
Okay, next one. It's your turn and mine. Newcastle vs Aston Villa. Brilliant. Um, I'm talking about the 40-year-old deal. Yes, I said this last week. I have no idea which Newcastle team is going to show up. Um, Newcastle are better at home than away. You can't just go and concede four in Coventry if you want to be successful, I don't think, and that's not disrespectful to Frank and his team. I think there will be goals in this match. I think I'm going to go for a two-on-two.
Newcastle two, Villa two. Villa is improving. I just think that small advantage of playing at home helps Newcastle a little. Aston Villa is improving all the time. I'm going to go with a 2-2. I like the sound of 2-0. If you know what I mean? Newcastle need to react to Monday night's result, and they will react. Villa, with a couple of goals, 2-1 up, will probably make it 2-0. Part of me wants to agree with you and go for a two-all tie, mate. Honestly, but I'm not at the stage where I need to get results here. I mean, that's just lengthening the season. I can't let that influence me. I will not be
influenced by the requirement and the need to accumulate points in the standings. And I'm going to agree with you, my friend. I'm thinking of a 2-1 for Villa, but I'm going to go for a 2-0 draw. I'm definitely going for a This is not easy at all. Bournemouth against Sunderland. They both need something after last week, don't they? Yes, they need it. That's how it is. Sunderland, well, it was a disappointment, it was a painful victory for them, wasn't it? At home against a very, very good Brighton team that is flying. Bournemouth is coming off a really painful victory. Um, obviously at the stadium last week. I don't like doing it. I think I'll have to go against my old team. I really will. Um, but as you wisely say, both need some kind of
recovery. But unfortunately for my old team, I think it could be Bournemouth. I'm going to bet on a 2-1 win for Bournemouth. Ugh, I would have accepted that, you know, but like I told you last week, I follow Jimmy White's rule of entertaining everyone, so I'm not going to choose the same thing as you this time. But I support almost everything you say, except for the fact that Sunderland are going to score. So, I'm going to say Bournemouth 2-0 Sunderland zero. I think if Brian Brobbey were to play, it might be different away from home, but I just don't see how they're going to score. I think Bournemouth needs something, so I'm going
to say Bournemouth two, Sunderland zero. The next one is a derby, Brighton versus Palace. Oh, friend. And Brighton have impressed me as much as anyone, in terms of what they 've achieved proportionally in the Premier League in terms of scoring goals. I mean, Crystal Palace, by the way, let me say this. Crystal Palace should have been losing six to zero by the time they drew against Forest last week. And if Brighton come close to that at the weekend, I think they're going to get crushed. I thought Palace were pretty bad. I've never seen a team win three to one and play as badly as Palace did last week. Is that.is that seeing it through your Forest eyes, or is it a genuine opinion?
Could you clarify that for me, please? So, listen, I'll let you be the judge. There is no resentment related to that. It does n't sound like there was one. It doesn't sound like that at all Okay, so listen, I'm going to bet on a. I'm going to bet on a pretty big Brighton win. I'm going to say Brighton four, Palace one. Brighton have been brilliant. I have to tell you, and about Palace, I agree with you, they probably got a bit lucky against Forest. I don't think there's any doubt about that, but it ended up being a fantastic result and three important points for them. However, um, just for the record, I'm not sure I'd call this a derby match. Can we really.? Was it the M52 derby, the M50 derby, or something like that?
Well, they.they call it that. They say it's a derby. It's a rivalry, a great rivalry match. Is the A23 the one that separates them both? Yes. I grant you, I grant you a great rivalry. I accept it. I fully accept it. Yes. Um. It's Glenn Murray's derby. Glenn played for both. Glenn Murray's derby, there you have it. Glenn Murray's derby, I love it. That works for me. I'm a little worried that Palace will visit the team in better form, who have been simply magnificent. Absolutely on another level.
I mentioned Pascal Gross, you know I'm talking about him. I think he's a fantastic footballer, who's back to his best level. What a performance against Arsenal, and then they achieved another clean sheet and victory at the Stadium of Light. I don't think they won 4-1, but I think they won 3-1. OK. So, we both pretty much agree on that. Next, it's your turn. Owen Hargreaves is still in makeup, by the way, so I haven't seen him. He's still in there. But you have Leeds against Manchester United. Wow, this is huge for Michael Carrick. Absolutely enormous. So, how impressed were you with Leeds against Arsenal last week? I thought they were excellent for an hour. I thought Calvin Miller was alright, although he didn't
look really dangerous in front of the goal. I thought his overall game as a centre forward was good, and you could argue that the most important thing is putting the ball in the net, especially for a striker, but he looks capable. He seems to be enjoying his football. He led the line magnificently well. This is a very, very difficult match. I mean, that place, Elland Road, will be absolutely vibrant. I think it'll be on fire this weekend. And I think Leeds will win, Butch. I think Leeds United will beat Manchester United by two goals to one. There's my prediction for you. Oh, I'll tell you, you're right at your best, aren't you? But remember, remember that you have told the nation that you are, of course, the Jimmy White of these
predictions. Yes. You have to do it. Don't ruin your self-imposed title. In a single risky prediction. What I don't know is the impact of Lisandro Martínez's words. Will they be positive or negative? Because it will have some effect. It's not just that I think they will be too positive. I don't think they're very positive in the management. No, but you wonder what it might cause in the locker room. Me, me, me, galvanize? Well, I don't know if I could break it, because I'm not sure this is a great locker room anyway.
Based solely on the above. This has never been the kind of locker room where you look and say, "Well, they got through that game because they're so close." That has always been a minor problem. So I don't know if I could create a bit of a chasm in there. And I know that manager Michael Carrick is under a lot of pressure because they're already talking about whether it's time to replace him, and Conte is being mentioned and all that kind of stuff. Too early in the season for that. And I agree with the idea that they can't keep changing coaches. I mean, that's clearly not the solution. They've tried. That's not the answer. I think Leeds will win the game too. Did you say 2-1? That's exactly what I said.
unbeaten record for Leeds. I thought, I thought Leeds defended brilliantly against Arsenal. Although they conceded two, they were two classy goals. But I think, I think overall the way it was done was good. I'm not sure if that Man United forward line can do much against them at Elland Road. So, I'm going to turn to Joleon here. Joleon, let's sit down over there. Joleon, come and sit down. We're just making the forecasts. Here is Joleon. Joleon, come on, let's sit in the carriage. We're doing the Leeds-Man U. Kursi said 2-1 and I said 2-0. Yes.
What do you think? I mean 2-1 in favor of Leeds. Yes, he went with you, Kursi. Yes. That's what supports you, Joleon. Yes. You know your stuff, Al. Yes. Kursi. You have no idea how happy it makes me to be supported by Joleon. That's enough for me. I'm very well. We have to say goodbye to Joleon because he has to go to work. Good luck, Joleon. Forest-Arsenal, very fast. I'll go first. I have to go against my team this week. I'm going to go. Actually, I'm not going. I'm going to bet on a draw. I was going to say Forest 1-0, but I can't. I can't, I simply felt the shepherd's staff around my neck from
Evangelos Marinakis. 1-1. I can't go against my team. What you couldn't see, Fletch, off- camera, was that I was raising my fingers like that because I knew you were coming. If there's one thing you are, it's predictable when it comes to your beloved Forest. You will not go against them. However, I do. The Gunners are a machine, a machine at the moment, and I think they will instill too much fear and win the game 2-0. Listen, if Forest played against Brazil in 1970, I would bet on a 2-2. Just to mention it, so you know. 2-2 and that would be the correct score. So, I said 1-1, you bet on Arsenal to win, right? We have the Spurs-Coventry game.
Owen Hargreaves will be on hand to commentate on the Spurs-Coventry game. What do you think of Monday night? Spurs-Coventry. Spurs are going to draw with Man United. Coventry absolutely crushed Newcastle. How good was Coventry today? I'd say I'm happy for Frank, but I thought Tottenham were brilliant against Man United at Old Trafford. I think they have overcome a difficult stage. Energy. I think I'm going to choose the Spurs. I need to give a correct score. I'm going to say 2-0. 2-0 Tottenham. So, that 2-0 for Tottenham, Ali, is my pick. Owen, thank you. You have to go to work.
Thank you. Enjoy it tonight. There's Owen. So, I would have opted for Before I give you my Before I give you a prognosis, could you tell Owen that I think he looked remarkably good after the makeup? Ali thinks you look remarkably good after the makeup, in case you missed it. There it is, the favorite of housewives. I 'm getting older. It's great. I need it. Good. Well, I'm going to add a Jimmy White touch because I'm going with Tottenham by a margin of two goals. It was between 2-0 and 3-1. They have to score. Coventry looked, I mean, on Monday night, at the level of some of the big defines. I know Newcastle's performance was out of this world, but part of
Coventry's performance was magnificent. I think they'll score, but I agree with you that I think Spurs definitely seem to have overcome their bad run. But I think they will obviously get a boost from Solanke's late goal. We watched them and, for 45 minutes without putting the ball in the net, they seemed very good to me against Aston Villa. I think it's one of those things where, if they score early, they'll score again. And I think they'll win 3-1. OK. Those are all the forecasts for this week. Thanks to Steven, Joleon, and Owen, which guarantees me a bigger win this week than last.
Maybe so, you know? Yes, don't forget that you can participate too. It's a little different, a little different. We provide the correct scores; you just have to choose to win, lose, or draw. So, home win, away win, or draw. After last week, I have the advantage again. Advantage over the country and a big advantage over Coisty. And don't forget the 42-37 in my favor after a 9-4 last week. Poor. It's usually one week you, one week me. So, this week should be your week. I hope so. I certainly hope so Good. So, I did this in the Winnebago. You are sitting in a car outside. We'll meet again and get to work. We have Manchester City versus Paris Saint-Germain today.
Well, we've got a good 90 minutes ahead of us, my friend. See you in a minute. Thank you for joining us again this week, and we'll talk soon. See you guys.
