Right. So, it's a wet, soggy morning this morning. We had a call this morning about a fox that's caught in the top floor of a uh apartment building right by a window, an open window. It could jump um if prompted. We're heading over now to see what we can do to rescue him. He seems to be quite happy up there. Laugh looking down, laughing at us getting wet. Yeah, I'm really worried about that window. That's going to be the main worry for me. As soon as we go up here, we're at risk of spooking him anyway. So even if we do anything and if we go down the safe
route and put a trap up the top here and bait it with food in hopes he comes down from the window and in, we still got to go past him to do all of that and it's going to make a lot of noise and that's still going to again put us at risk of him jumping out the window. So really we're down to two options. So we've either got to just run the risk and just see if we can grab him quick uh which isn't ideal or we try and close the window from the outside which isn't ideal either. So, I might be able to get a pole up here and close the window from this position. It's not my most flattering position. If we get a pole up here, we might be able to close that window from this point. We attempted to close the window from the outside.
But with the window too stiff and nothing else long enough to reach the window, we had to take a different approach. I think your care is get some WD40 on that window. I'm left with only one option really is to let's just see if we can sneak up and grab him. Oh god, I'm so nervous about this. This is not the way I want to do it. So without us sort of controlling the situation, this fox is going to get really stressed out and again at risk of jumping. All the other windows are closed. Say ready. Don't want to go to the window. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. He's going to die. So, we're not entertaining that yet.
You little monkey. The only other thing we can do is spook him down. Stay where you are. So, the next stage is I'm going to try and poke him back indoors so and close the window so we can catch him. Why do you have to pick the wetest day to do this? You got that? You're right. It's gone. Right. Is she going up? Lovely. Well done. Well, that's the easy bit. Finally, with the fox off the ledge and all the windows shut, we could safely attempt to get the fox out.
Is everything nice and quiet? You going to move? Are you going to Got you. Stuck on the bike. Might need a hand here, Gabe. All right, there we go. Seeing the fox evader so easily, it was clear that he was ready to be released in situ. He looks healthy. So, I'm going to just let him run. Go off you go. Oh, look at him go. He's healthy.
