previously on the bike trip adam is putting on a pool pie and we're downstairs how was christmas uh they said that i ruined their christmas sorry okay guys so we made it to the temple and oh my god check out this view beautiful isn't it this is an absolutely gorgeous campsite one of my most favorite locations it was a bit weird when we got back here though i thought mark was being a bit like out off or something everything's fine steve everything's fine tell me
just woke up went for a walk to try and get to the myanmar border um now we're just packing up getting ready it's so nice to wake up to this view it's crazy to think that we're in thailand like i just feel like we're at home it's pretty cool and we need to do some washing because everything's dirty you guys get to go in about ten yep keen to play some frisbee wait paddy yeah where can we play some frisbee at the lord cave where we're going today there's a little in the cave not in the cave just outside the cave there's like a little river in pie where we're staying we've got like a little garden in between the mangoes yeah some good frisbee sessions to come yes mate yes is everyone ready or die i was the under 11 frisbee champion
i don't believe you i saw you frisbee the other day right then okay we are packed up we're leaving this beautiful campsite we're just getting our bags together and we're going to be heading to pai today a few amazing stops along the way put your hand up if you're excited i feel so sorry for you mark having to have fun in the mountains okay high five let's go follow the leader we're gonna go pick up ash a little something to make me sweeter oh baby refrain
work so hard foreign oh here i am at lord cave this is an amazing place one of the highlights of the entire trip hey yeah we're having a really good time man this is epic the roads bikes just park anywhere here i'll get out of your way you made it
good job it's one of the best rides ever isn't it back to california home of my camera yeah he said i'll drop it off in chiang mai but when did he tell you this uh when we stopped earlier this morning i'd like told him to like cheer up but i don't think i was that i don't know trying to be nice about it yeah i was like just not actually having a chat because i was like i was filming these girls and then you said i was like i'll cheer up and he was just like oh everything's fine but like and like a sort of sucky tone and then just 20 10. where is he now go see if he's alright yeah i don't even know when the last time i saw him just leave him because there's only one thing that i said on this trip safety and stay together yeah
i thought like i invited because i know that this would be good for him i didn't learn about like attacking himself from his family and you know he's never traveled before and i don't know it can eat you up and swallow you up especially if you land in bangkok or somewhere like that you can't go yet he owes me two [__] drinks shouldn't have invited him i think it's just been disaster right from day one that's a bit harsh but like no i need to go find him i'm gonna go back and see if he's all right yeah don't bother like then we're all split up everywhere where you're gonna go this is exhausting that's kind of really good yeah because we're gonna do the cave i can't leave a man behind i'll just write up there and see if he's all good
and i'll let you know all right she's going i'm going yeah this is your fault for talking this morning yeah it could be halfway to [__] chiang mai where are you going and it's left on the side of the road with all my [__] cool we'll just find a bear instead of going through the camera i'm not doing the cave now they're going to sit and find a bear i'll just make sure that they know my way back put the helmet yeah put your [__] helmet on there's so much drama jesus christ this was supposed to be a nice bike trip uh why don't we wait here so that everyone else who's gone knows where to find us hopefully he's just having a panic attack on the side of the road and he's turned up like it's only a cave i don't mean you're not gonna find batman in there okay right cancel the
cave let's get a beer yeah all right okay um so on the way to the cave today on the bike i had uh i had an anxiety attack because i'm clearly not dealing with this very well um and as they turned to went to the cave i just kept going because i think i need to go home like i really thought that this experience was going to be great and i ruined my family's christmas and then like i was such a buzz kill for you guys and steve i'm sorry like you came over to me this morning and you know tried to cheer me up and i appreciate it and i was just a dick and i'm sorry like patty i'm sorry that i still have your camera um i'll leave this at the reception at your apartment when i get back to chiang mai and sorry if i messed up the series
i know you really wanted to make something cool out of this i'm just sorry for everything and um i hope you guys um i hope you're all enjoying the rest of your trip and sorry if you leave it now you'll take away the biggest part of good morning and welcome back last night there was the biggest thunderstorm the lightning was hitting all around us so i don't know if anybody slept we didn't do the lord cave from last time because of mark leaving the group and everyone trying to find him and everyone just said you know that's really sad that mark has left it's probably for the best and he can go home and see his family and figure things out
i just i'm really kind of annoyed at him because i don't know if he's safe i don't know if he got to chiang mai okay he's left the group so i'm actually coming out with acne can you see this that's from stress i only get that when i'm stressed last time i had acne like that was in australia when i was stressing out about my farm work when i was working with ties so i know i'm getting like worn down from the like yeah the stress of the group trip and mark leaving so what i'm gonna try and do is just be positive there's an amazing breakfast at this place so i'm just gonna have a good breakfast and try and just take the group out today and have a good morning and show them around the
hot springs and have a like a day out in pie good morning uh we're here in pai in this lovely homestay yeah people are getting ready we're going to the hot springs now and yeah we'll have some fun over there people are here getting ready jumping in the bikes yeah so we'll see you down at the hot every time i think of you i always catch my breath and i'm still standing here
through my frozen heart tonight i hear your name in certain circles and it always makes me smile i spend my time okay here we are at pie canyon one of my favorite places here in pi and can you see the storm clouds behind you there adam yeah it's gonna get wet we're here yes i wanna know yeah this if you want to do the entire loop it can take a couple of hours or if you're like me and you've been here a bunch of times you just stay in this area and have a little nap over there look at that it's a shame because i know mark told me that he would have is his way somewhere he was looking forward to come but

or a bike huh um i ended up pulling into pie because i didn't want to drive in the storm and i got to bed for the night and uh the people that i was sharing the room with invited me out with them and we had a good night man like a really good night um i mean look i even bought elephant pants like i went all out um but yeah i just i feel so different about everything and i'm excited to see everybody hopefully it goes well hopefully they don't hate me um but uh yeah see you soon cheers oh actually i didn't even drink my drink oh that's travelling margarita they're actually really good like they're not just that syrup stuff that you get a lot of the time yeah really good are there only yellows left nice no there's blues
blues we drank all the red truck last night second favorite obviously because like yeah into the shower there he is what happened to your clothes what's that what about elephant oh my god i did a nice yeah oh you're so cute right i ended up hanging out with the people at the dorm last night and they gave me this thing called a happy shake what i don't know what it was they said don't worry about it but like i just i had a really good night we're looking for you i know yeah they went looking for like an hour and a half to try and then for real yeah and then we couldn't we couldn't go to the log cave because everyone was pissed off and upset and split up and everything like it was a bit of a nightmare when
you were away when did you lose your wallet no so you can still get me those beers do that again yeah i did very popular now so it's it's 150 baht to get back in the group to each person and a foot massage yeah i'm gonna tell you i broke your camera you bite my camera cheers i'm just kidding i [__] bastard the group's back together just saw the [__] i've been carrying and special thanks to you for talking to me well when you came over to me at the lake and i was founded ahold of you and i'm sorry because you were just trying to get me to cheer up and i was being always a typical american it's just like my world my problem my script so jesus i don't like a different man i just this is me and i'm just going to be meaning
like it's just a scottish guy telling me to cheer up and i love you guys and i'm excited to spend the new years with this new fan oh my gosh oh my god you're gonna make me cry yeah it's good to be back so let's scroll these and get down the night market and have some fun just reflecting on the past couple days just between like you know having kind of a meltdown and then the storm and then going up high and then meeting those strangers and then meeting back up with the group and really just like i don't even know how to explain it like something just clicked you know and i was just really looking at the way that i was looking at life
and now i just feel so different like pie is incredible and these people are incredible and this trip is incredible and i never wanted to end and now i'm thinking maybe it doesn't but time will tell and uh this whole thing was way more than i ever thought it could be yeah if you're if anybody is ever thinking about doing something like this and you're scared or it's out of your comfort zone i mean like take it from me do that [__] because i mean yeah it's hard obviously you know i didn't didn't start off super well but i'm a new man so um yeah just get out there see the world meet new people do that [__]
on the road again just can't wait to get on the road again the life i love is making music with my friends and i can't wait to get off the road again so after pie we actually drove pretty far about 180 kilometers to a place called shang dao now it's thailand's third highest mountain and it's not technically part of the mae hong song loop it's actually like a two-hour detour to get there but like what a detour to make it's insanely beautiful ash got lost a long day driving but beautiful viewers man it's absolutely amazing i'm gonna miss these words so like i said just gonna go out have a few beers and chill and when we all arrived there like i could see that no one was really reaching for the cameras um and i wasn't reaching for mine really
to be honest either i think that everyone knew that we were at this most stunning place like this place is extra next level stunning and uh with new year's eve coming up i could just sense yeah that you know that everyone fancied a night off documenting the trip and it was huge did you see this yet no it's incredible dude like as soon as you turn the corner just like you're greeted with that [__] nice it's no scotland though is it but basically all you need to know is that we had one of the craziest most amazing nights of the entire trip because we just completely let our hair down it was amazing
i swear it is and then on the way back the next day we went to the sticky waterfalls one of my favorite places in northern thailand and you can't miss it up if you're driving in the area uh you definitely check out the sticky waterfalls and as we were driving back to chiang mai it was right there so i had to take the guys down to check it out
and now that we're all back here in chiang mai i've gotten all the cameras back off everyone and just told everyone to meet me later for dinner um but mark told me that he did want to hold on to the camera that i gave him for a little bit longer um and i said that was fine basically i think that his storyline of this trip is going to be probably the most interesting thing that's happened um so yeah i just said that's fine you just keep the camera and give it to me later i can't wait to see all of the footage that we've all gotten from this trip and i just think that this series will actually have turned out into pretty into something pretty interesting actually yeah okay so we officially made it back to chiang mai finished the loop a couple
hours ago as you can see i shaved and uh i wanted to start the new year off just clean-shaven and new and i think for a while i was hiding behind the beard and through this experience i realized that and i want to see my face because i haven't seen it in a while patty encouraged me to do one of these uh pieces because he thinks that there's other people out there that can relate to the journey that i've been on for this trip just you know just a scared solo traveler who's never traveled before and meeting up with all these new people who are super experienced and going to asia which is super different uh than america but surprisingly it wasn't like crazy i don't know it wasn't as scary as i thought it was going to be
i just feel really good so because of that i went on to skyscanner and i was looking up flights and i actually booked a flight to pakistan because i wanted to go somewhere really different and really challenging and uh the aussie couple who is on the trip with us have been to pakistan and they were telling me a little bit about it and it sounds amazing um so yeah i'm going to pakistan i haven't told my family but want to call them for new year's i will tell them and um yeah i'm gonna have to definitely have a heart-to-heart with my parents and um just not be afraid to tell them how i feel because i shouldn't have to be like i shouldn't be scared to tell them that i want to do this with my life you know so yeah hopefully
i don't know maybe somebody else seeing this will relate to this feeling of like what am i doing get out there challenge yourself get out of your comfort zone and uh meet awesome people because it's it's life-changing i've never like we don't do this i've never seen something like this yeah we don't need to rehash what happened on christmas um but i just i did want to call to let you guys know about a few things and if i could just kind of talk without you guys interrupting me i would really appreciate it first i do want to say i'm really sorry that i didn't tell you guys about the thailand thing i do understand your point of view and i understand that you were upset and i know that it was wrong to not tell you guys but i also thought you guys were going to
react the way you did and i avoided it because we're not really good at conversations like this and i didn't want you guys to spoil this trip for me and i don't want to work at the restaurant anymore okay i'm so just please just let me okay thank you i don't want to work at the restaurant and i want to travel and i want to meet new people and i want to be myself i really love you i do but i don't love the criticism and all the opinions and all of just all of that i don't need it anymore thailand's been great yeah you said that it was going to be super dangerous and it wasn't at all okay i want to do something different i want to keep pushing myself just tell everybody that i love them okay thank you guys i love you too bye
ten nine eight seven six five four three two oh and i told them that i booked a flight which was inspired by you guys where are you going pakistan if i can handle thailand i could i am [__] friday thank you he's gonna find him i could handle pakistan right yeah you're gonna love it there but when he dies like you need a visa it's not like you need to apply for a visa and it takes a few weeks took us like months so much back and forth yeah but i didn't need a visa for thailand you didn't get a [__] it's a different country man oh you're never happy oh my god
can't just go to pakistan it might take a few months but we'll get there okay so for you guys what was the highlight of this 10 days on the road with a bunch of strangers i mean last night was pretty cool like no cameras rolling just everyone losing their [__] northern thailand is beautiful like if you're into camping and seeing nature and you know it's it's it is awesome of a lifetime yeah it's amazing best bunch of people and the best bike trip you would ever do in your whole life happy new year together and we have so much crap there's a little bit of chemistry last night was one of the most fun nights i've ever had in my life my favorite part was just like being ahead of everyone and driving and speeding through the roads and that was
just being the first one on the bike you know and just taking the corners and oh that was just amazing like other driving all the turns everyone being together drinking laughing like 11 strangers like i didn't know anyone until i came here and now like everyone's like my best friend it's amazing my favorite part is always the people that i meet uh and just the lifelong friends that i make that is why i do it apart from i love paddy so you know that's uh i came with an open mind and i thought the bike trip was a great start we were doing the whole mae hong song loop and i actually came uh for the bike trip but the people man the people so amazing and there's a saying in maori
yeah i think it goes something like it and it translates to it's the people i obviously have been sick all day and being able to see the lanterns go off and midnight has been such a great way to end the year and this trip and i'm excited for 2020. more than i could choose same as last year and the first year just getting back safe like healthy and not dead it's always a winner it's beautiful this has been one of the most amazing trips of my life and i'll be i'll deconstruct it and digest it later
but right now i just need to sleep crazy wow okay so the bike trip is officially over it was incredible it was awesome the people just everything um i had a couple extra days in chiang mai so today was my temple day i wanted to explore the temples i came up to doi sutep because patty said this one is
not to be missed and he's right because it's insanely beautiful so i'm just up here for the sunset enjoying the views looking down on chiang mai and uh i did a blessing for myself i um you may have noticed that i was walking the wrong way which is something that patty and steve informed me at one of the other temples that we did on the bike trip but i chose to walk the wrong way today because i had a funeral for myself a funeral for the old me because it's 20 and it's a new year and it's a new me i don't want to go back to the old mark and yeah i'm just gonna enjoy the rest of the sunset um i did have to cancel my flight to pakistan though would you like to come on the next bike trip we are now taking applications for december's 2020 tour
we will take care of your christmas and new year holidays as well as getting the chance to explore these incredible mountains and make new friends for life each year this trip gets bigger and better in so many ways so check out the information below and yeah we hope to travel with you soon
