So, don't be afraid to bring in a variety of different styles. Right here, I've got a cotton knit. As you can see, it's got a bit of style to it, contrasting colors on the breast pocket, on the sleeve of the arm, and on the edge of the collar. Small details, but they draw attention to the classic lines. And as you can see, the knit fabric gives it a bit of texture and actually makes it very breathable. So, a very easy casual garment to wear in warmer weather. But, you can also dress up a polo. Right here, we have a dress collar polo. To be specific, it has a structured collar. it has a stronger placket,

which overall give this polo not only the ability to be worn with shorts or a pair of chinos, but also dressed up to be worn with a sports jacket or even under a sweater without the collar collapsing. A big deal especially if you want a more formal dressed up look. That being said, the structure of the collar and the placket isn't the only thing that affects a polo's formality. These polos right here can be worn with shorts or dress pants. And as you can see from the fabric and the way that they drape, these polos are made from luxury

materials, in this case, linen cotton blends. And for this particular style, it's a knit, but they're using a wool fabric. Well, the peat cotton is fine for a tennis match, but that knit wool, this has an Italian heritage and it was specifically made for a more dressed up look, spending some time maybe on the medic. training and enjoying Rome and a perfect combination to match with a pair of linen trousers or chinos. Yeah, these polos help you look your best. And really quick, I want to give honorable mention to the terry cloth polo. Often forgot about,

but not forgotten because of its incredible comfort. It's overall a great vacation shirt perfect for wearing to the pool or the beach. Seriously, you can wear this shirt with your swim trunks and even dress them up if you're going to be hitting the beach and then go into a restaurant right afterwards, a very clean sophisticated look highly recommend. Now, what about for that wedding you have to attend? July, Washington, DC? Yeah, it's going to be hot, muggy, and you have to wear a jacket. Well, gentlemen, the key combination here is a linen

jacket with a performance shirt. So, by going with linen, that jacket the outer piece is going to be breathable. And most quality linen jackets have been treated in a way that they're not going to overly wrinkle. The linen even in a lighter color gives it a really nice natural texture. And a breathable performance shirt with a four-way stretch, yeah, it's not going to stop you from sweating, but when you do sweat, it's going to allow that moisture to leave the body and help cool you off. Now, gents, if you want to grab this combination or any

of the other items I've talked about so far in this video, get over to today's sponsor, Collars & Co. Gents, I've talked about Collars & Co. for years because I love what these guys are doing. Collars & Co. builds menswear that not only looks good, but has the performance aspect. I mean, let's just go into details on their Apex Performance Dress Shirts. Not only do these dress shirts have a classic design, they look good, they're incredibly stylish, they have a very nice drape to them, and they come in a wide variety of colors and patterns.

It's the type of shirt that you reach for because you love the way it makes you look and feel. And in case you didn't know, Collars & Co. also carries linen blazers. They did a great job when it comes to the design, the fit, the cut, the overall build of these blazers. In fact, the jacket I'm wearing right here, I have not even had adjusted. It fit me right off the rack. That being said, if linen jackets aren't your thing, check out their performance maverick blazers. This is the blazer jacket for the guy that honestly doesn't even want to feel like

he's wearing a blazer jacket. They're made from a performance material that's breathable that's got stretch to it. And when you need to wash this jacket, guess what? You can just throw it into the wash. You don't have to send it out to get dry cleaned. But, what I most love about this jacket is the attention to detail from the thoughtful pockets on the inside to the hidden pocket square fold in the breast pocket. And, gents, straight up, if you're looking for the one item to start with, check out their dress collar polos. This is where

Collars & Co. started. They were on Shark Tank. Mark Cuban invested a million dollars when he saw the dress collar pullover and the problem it solved. Guys don't want to be wearing uncomfortable dress shirts. It could be layered with a sports jacket, a blazer, worn under a sweater. And because of the structured collar and the placket, it looked good. If you're looking for an upgraded look this summer, get over to Collars & Co. Check out what they've got to offer. And currently, Collars & Co. has their Father's Day sale going on where you can get a free cloud cotton quarter

zip pullover with any order over $300. But, take advantage of it quick because this is for a limited time only. I'm linking to them down in the description with the best deal you're going to find on the web. Go check them out, Collars and Co. I love them. Awesome sponsor and I love wearing their clothing. Next up on this list, the classic linen shirt. Now, for your first linen shirt, I would recommend going with the color that you wear often. For most guys, this is going to be white, maybe light blue, navy, black even. Now, for me, since

I've got already a pretty good collection and I've got brown hair, I'm wearing this light brown color right here which I absolutely love. because it matches so many items in my wardrobe. Seriously, I can wear it with blue trousers, khaki trousers, light tan trousers, even shorts if I so choose. And because I'm all about versatility, I'm going to recommend your first linen shirt, go with a long sleeve linen shirt. And, I know we're talking about hot weather, but here's the deal. You can always roll the sleeves, which I've got a whole video on that. I will link

to it down in the description. But, when you roll the sleeves especially if you've got thinner arms like me, it's just overall a better look actually looks a little bit more formal than the short sleeve. And that's why I love the long sleeve option. You can dress it up, you can dress it down, you can wear it in a variety of different situations. But, if you spend a lot of time in the gym, if you've got the guns for it, in that case, you do you, go ahead and grab the short sleeve linen shirt. I understand it's not going to be as versatile. it can still

look great on you. And the reason for that is, one, linen is incredibly breathable. It is a natural summer fabric, so a lot of guys like to wear it they just feel cooler wearing linen. And the second reason is linen actually has a unique texture to it. So, from a distance, it looks solid. People get up close, they see a bit of a pattern and the lines that we typically see in a fabric. And, gents, don't forget when you're wearing linen, it is going to wrinkle especially if you're going to wear it all day. Understand that's just part of the character.

That's why these are casual shirts. But, all that being said, this is an amazing garment that needs to be in your summer wardrobe. A lot of guys because of the wrinkling stay away from it. Nah, don't be like that, guys. Bring it into your wardrobe, it is worth having. Now, I know some of you guys are watching this and saying, Antonio, come on, I want casual summer suggestions. Well, in this case, one of the best tips I can give you is look to upgrade items that you have had in your wardrobe way too long. Example, that pair of swim trunks

that you have had for seven years. And I get it, you're proud you've had that pair of swim trunks, for seven years. There's only one or two holes in them, they're still a bit faded. But, here's the deal, keep those if you need to be an extra in a shark attack movie, but for going to that pool party. Gents, treat yourself to an upgraded pair of swim trunks that have a fresh overall appearance to them. Yeah, the colors aren't faded. Maybe go for a more classic style, maybe you've gained a few pounds since you bought that last pair. My point being sometimes

it's easy to upgrade your summer wardrobe by just upgrading the items that you already have in it. Now, the styles I'm flashing across the screen right now, all of these colors, all these patterns are classic in style, so you don't have to worry about chasing the latest fashions or trends. For me personally, if you're a younger man or you're younger at heart, I like to go with brighter colors. But, if you don't want to draw attention to yourself, you're a bit more conservative. then go with a classic dark pair of trunks maybe with an indescript

texture or pattern in it. And speaking of shorts, let's take those jeans shorts, let's take those cargo shorts, let's put them to the side, and let's bring in a classic pair of either cotton or performance shorts. Now, for me personally, I really like performance shorts because I find that they are made from lighter weight materials, they're cooler, they're they breathe easier. And a lot of the newest styles and designs out there, they actually look relatively formal. So, when you wear this with a polo with a pair of loafers or even leather sandals, this combination

right here is never going to pass for formal, but you know what? It looks good especially, again, if you're going to the beach or going to a pool party. Now, what about the classic t-shirt? Similar to what we just mentioned, a lot of you guys have t-shirts, but they're worn out. They are overused, they're faded, they're stained. So, go ahead and throw those to the wayside. And initially, replace your basics. If you like white t-shirts, if you like black t-shirts, bring in a new one of those. Make sure it fits the body you have, not the

body you want. And if t-shirts are your thing, you wear them a lot, look to specialty fabrics because there are casual t-shirts and then there are dressier t-shirts. Oftentimes, those more expensive maybe even knit t-shirts, those are going to have a different feel, a different overall hand texture. They're going to drape and look differently on your body. And there are some shirts out there the way they're built and if you've got the body for it, you could wear this with a pair of linen trousers and loafers and have a really nice summer casual

look here. Now, what about colored t-shirts? I'm not talking about graphic tees. Those, yeah, just avoid Let's stick with solid colors here. I do feel a man if he understands this is casual can bring this into his wardrobe and just mix and match it especially with shorts or a pair of chinos or performance pants. And, feel free to bring in a color that works with your complexion, maybe works well with your eyes. But, above all, when it comes to t-shirts, make sure you get the right fit. Try it on, look at yourself in the mirror, be honest,

and only wear a shirt that looks good on you that flatters your build. Now, what about over shirts? You may be heard of these, they're not as formal as jackets. But, over shirts I think fill a really interesting gap in a man's summer wardrobe especially those made from like cotton or linen. Basically, these are casual shirts that can be worn over a t-shirt. And I find bridge the gap when it's too warm to wear a jacket, but still a little bit too cool to be wearing a t-shirt especially when you're near water or temperature changes maybe you're

out in the desert, we're going to be out at night star watching. In that case, consider an over shirt or maybe even a lightweight sweater. The lightweight hoodie in particular is a great item to add to your summer wardrobe. Higher end versions we're going to see made from a light cashmere, maybe wool, maybe even a lightweight cotton that has a knit weave. And a lot of times with these summer hoodies, what's cool about these styles is that they bring in really light airy colors. Again, it matches the season. And, again, I think throughout the day especially

if you're in an area with the breeze, you're going to be out on a boat. This right here not only can protect your skin from the elements, it just feels nice and they're not as hot as you may think especially when they're made from a knit material that is breathable. Speaking of breathability, let's get back to linen, but in particular linen trousers. So, I've talked about how some guys avoid linen shirts, a lot of guys avoid linen blazers, but most guys avoid linen trousers. And the reason is they don't know how to wear them. In fact, most

guys think that when you wear linen trousers, you have to wear a linen jacket or a linen shirt with them. No. You can wear linen trousers with a cotton t-shirt, you can wear them with a wool polo, you can wear them with a performance shirt. and a blazer. Now, the key with wearing linen trousers is just getting used to wearing linen trousers especially in warmer environments in which most men are simply defaulting to shorts. But straight up, gents, there's a huge advantage to bringing in linen trousers over shorts. One, it's just going to set you apart from everyone.

Second, they are more formal. So, these are great items to wear into restaurants if you're going out on the town. And they're so much cooler and dressier than a pair of chinos and much cooler than a pair of jeans. That being said, if that's too much for you, look for a pair of performance pants. I'll also at this point recommend chinos especially chinos in brighter fun colors. But, what I love about performance trousers especially with the four-way stretch, the breathability is that these things just feel good. And because they're so lightweight,

they're so easy to wear in warmer weather. And I find they make the perfect go-to trouser especially if you're going to be walking around the city, maybe you're going to be over in Madrid this summer. Putting some miles on the town as you go sightseeing. pair of performance trousers. When you're wearing something like that, you're not going to stand out as a bad tourist. No, in that case, you're going to at least look like a sophisticated tourist. Hopefully, people will treat you better. Now, what about shoes? So, I've talked about loafers multiple

times. I highly recommend you get yourself a pair of classic loafers. They're so versatile, you can dress them up, dress them down. wearing with shorts, wearing with linen trousers, wearing with a suit. Depending on the color, black being the most formal, the lighter colors being more casual. But, another classic summer staple that has not gone out of style are white sneakers. I personally like the leather styles. I think they can be dressed up a bit more than canvas style sneakers. But, to each their own, there are advantages and disadvantages to both, but

keep them white. keep them clean. Other styles are going to be moccasin style shoes often lumped in with boat shoes. Understand these are casual, some guys like the preppy look to them. And because we're talking about Spain and the Mediterranean, let's go ahead and talk about espadrilles. Originally designed to be a cheap shoe for the summer. Nowadays, they're not as cheap, but they're often made a bit better and they've got better soles, so can wear them in a variety of situations. But, yeah, all these are casual shoes perfect for the summer. Now,

what about watches? If I had to recommend one watch style for the summer. For me, it's going to be the dive watch. Now, if you want something a bit more casual, go with a rubber strap. If you want something a little bit dressier, go with a metal strap. In this case, I wanted something fun with a bit of color. I really like this combination here. But, yeah, you don't have to spend a whole lot here. Watches are a lot of fun, but going with the dive watch during the summer, you can't go wrong. Now, when it comes to summer belts, I like a little

bit brighter colors, fun patterns, maybe going with a woven style belt. As for sunglasses, the three styles I always recommend. First up, It's a classic style works for a wide variety of face shapes and they just work. If you want something a bit more bold, go for Wayfarers. It's now a classic design made popular by the movies. If you're getting your first pair, go with black or maybe even explore tortoise. But, if that's too much for you, check out Clubmasters, another classic design I think a lot of people sleep on. I personally love

them. And definitely no show socks. I know a lot of guys don't wear any socks. The deal is your shoes are going to smell a lot faster, although you should be treating your summer shoes to make sure you don't get any bacteria growth in them. And summer hats. The Panama is the classic, maybe a bit bold for too many. Look to a simple straw hat, maybe a fedora or a trilby style hat. Again, if you're going to be in an area with a lot of sun, hats just functionally work and it's a great time to practice wearing it. Get a few pictures of you in that

hat. Who knows, you may get converted, you may become a hat guy. Now, gents, if you enjoyed this video, but you want more, you want something about summer heat, to dress in the heat, how to be able to wear clothing that will keep you cooler. Guys, I got you covered in that video right here. Boom. Go check it out. Oh, yeah. Right there.
