In this edition of ONE Weekly, we look back at the inspiring journey of Mongolian superstar Enkh-Orgil Batarkhuu in becoming the ONE Bantamweight MMA world champion. Welcome to ONE Weekly. On July 31st at the Inner Circle 24, Enkh-Orgil Batarkhuu battles the undefeated Azerbaijani challenger Elipack Alishev in his first defense of the ONE Bantamweight MMA world championship. Known as The Tormentor, Enkh-Orgil Batarkhuu immediately made his presence felt with three straight wins during his debut year in 2023.
He continued his pursuit of a world title shot with a showdown against Carlo Bumina-ong. Bumina-ong was light on his feet before The Tormentor punished him inside the clinch. And this is a position that Bumina-ong wants to get out of quickly because this is without a doubt Batarkhuu's world. In round two, Batarkhuu's elite ground game completely shifted the momentum in his favor. Batarkhuu's domination on the mat extended in the final round. Look at the bricks on the stomach of Batarkhuu. Just a absolute plate of armor.
No question about it. Match has third and final round. The bout is judged as a whole, so these final five minutes very well could decide this match up. Good entry into the takedown from Batarkhuu. Gets the single leg and easily puts Bumina-ong on his backside and he is picking up right where he left off at the end of the second. What do you think that does to the psyche of the undefeated Bumina-ong? It's I mean, I'm sure he's been put in bad positions in training. I'm sure he's been, you know, run brought through the ringer, but at this point in time when you're, you know, this, you know, deep into a match and now he's still got 4
minutes to work. That's a little bit deflating, you know, especially when you're a young fighter. He's 6 and 0 in his career. He's been running through everybody here on One Friday Fights in this very building. It's going to be a little bit deflating, but he's got to have that urgency. He's going to have to dig deep here. Find that desire, that determination that brought him into mixed martial arts, that forced him to change his life and dig deep within himself and really put out something incredible. Ankush Bhartaru who has 10 wins to his credit clamoring for win number 11. The tormentor is looking to do exactly that. He's now in half guard of Bumina-on and now is on the back of Bumina-on which is what transpired in
the second, especially towards the tail end of the second round. And again, it's just that pressure and the body triangle of Bhartaru. Yeah, he's doing a good job of just controlling, right, and adjusting to make sure that he stays in the position. Bumina-on is defending very well, but Bhartaru is just one step ahead and now he's able to fall into an arm triangle. But you can see the way Bumina-on is kind of repositioning his arm. He knows what the next step is, but it's just he can't do anything about it cuz Bhartaru is just so strong on top. Good job to turn to his side, right? He's on the
shoulder where he's supposed to be. Now he can create a little bit of space, slides one knee in, right? Fundamentals are all there for Bumina-on, but he's just getting overwhelmed by a stronger top opponent. Look at that top position by Bhartaru. Couple of short elbows in succession for Bhartaru. Rank number five of number five contender rankings and my goodness, look at that. He is starting to unload a bevy of those sharp elbows right on the right side of the head of Bumina-on Mich. Yeah, great positioning. Now he's got the arm, might be looking for an arm bar. But Bumina-on just defending very well, able to get over. Right now he's trying to attack the leg, looking to reverse
his position, works his way back up to his feet. Great use of the legs from Bataru right there to capture a leg, suck it in, force him back in to this turtle position. Under two minutes are remaining in the fight. As Ankkh Orkhon Bataru has been controlling the undefeated Filipino Carlo Bumina-on throughout the majority of this third round and now Bataru once again, he was going for a submission attempt. But Bumina-on able to keep his arms really tight to his body, didn't get extended, right? Those Tyrannosaurus Rex arms is kind of the way your BJJ coach will kind of describe it. You want to keep everything tight to your body and that's ex- his fundamentals
are very sound, but Bataru is just so strong. He's forcing Bumina-on to rely on defense and not really worry about creating some kind of offense for himself. We are now under a minute remaining in the fight. If you are Carlo Bumina-on Mich, the time is now. He's got to start to come up with something significant because you would gather he's likely down in the fight. Yeah, if he's got some kind of explosion left in the tank, he needs that here. He needs to try to get Ankkh Orkhon off of him, right? But this is a bad spot right now. He turns over to his back, he's going to get his back
taken and Bumina-on is going to get beat up here cuz Bataru just tries to empty the tank here in the last 25 seconds and tries to get a stoppage here at the bell. And now once again, draped on the back of Bo Mi Na Ong is Batario. He was trying to get that finish when he was on top. Now he's in the half guard. Final moments of the fight. And Orgil got Batario THE ARM TRIANGLE CHOKE. TRYING TO GET IT SOLIDIFIED. CAN BATARIO FINISH OFF BO MI NA ONG OR WILL WE GO TO THE SCORE CARDS? AND WE WILL. RIGHT THERE, THE ARM WENT LIMP, AND THAT was before the bell, I do believe. I think Ink Orgil got a submission at the end.
What a performance if that is truly the case. We're awaiting official word. At 4:59, literally 1 second to go. Your winner by way of ARM TRIANGLE CHOKE, [screaming] INK ORGIL BATARIO. WHAT A PERFORMANCE FOR INK ORGIL Batario submitting Carlo Bo Mi Na Ong with 1 second to go. Following another impressive submission win, the Mongolian star looked to deliver another stoppage victory against Ecuador's Aaron Canarte in January 2025. Batario was relentless in hunting for a submission. Every fight on this card represents the highest levels in the world They are underway. Already striking is Batario.
Batario testing him with the head kick early, but he's inside that clinch. This is going to be very important for Canarte to defend here. Create a little bit of space. Batario likes to back people up and put people up against the ropes or the corner and just go to town on them. So it's good that Canarte's here at space. Keeps that distance. Utilize the size that he's got for the against the bantamweight. He's got about 6 lb on Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu and he's going to have to use it here, try to hang on Baatarkhuu, wear him out if it does get into this position here inside the clinch. And when he's here, he needs to do damage. He needs to try to hurt Baatarkhuu.
Cuz Baatarkhuu is going to try to spin him around and press him up against the wall. So, this is a good spot for Kanyarte to show some dominance and show some strength. Well, also he's trying to wear out Baatarkhuu because Baatarkhuu, he has that physically grinding, taxing style that he likes to implement. He likes to get on you and really pound you out, wear you out. Yeah, this is a good match-up for both these guys. I like the way this is going to these guys on paper kind of match up against each other.
Kanyarte being heavy inside that clinch, but this is where Baatarkhuu wants to be. Interesting defense for Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu to kind of come over the top and try to lock those arms up, but it nullifies, I guess, Kanyarte being able to punch or elbow. Well, Kanyarte did tell us, Mitch, in fighter meetings that he has grown so much since moving to Thailand and really working with various members of his team and he feels he's a new fighter. Yeah, there's lots of high-level fighters, good coaches, Coach Leo out there at Phuket Fight Club and just a great group of fighters, a lot of pros as Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu spins with the back kick, goes inside, gets into the
body lock, looking for the take down here. He drags Kanyarte to the ground, but Kanyarte pops right back up, but Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu presses him into the corner and this is where Baatarkhuu lives and breathes. Well, this is Baatarkhuu's world. I mean, this is where he's so successful being able to wear you out and utilize his strong wrestling and that striking at close distance here in the clinch. Gets the body lock. Kanyarte doing a good job of creating separation, right? Nice little short shots by Batara. As Kanyarte throws up the knee shield.
Trying to get some distance. Trying to circle out. To his right as he looks for the Uchimata right there. Little wizard kick. But Enkh Orgil Batara with a lower center of gravity was able to defend. Batara has a 75% finish rate here in ONE Championship. Looking to take Kanyarte down and he gets it. Gets the take down. Batara is also a student of Jadamba who is a former ONE Featherweight MMA world champion. And he was unable to be here because he's got so many other students competing and uh gave Batara's corner to their second in command. And Batara is flowing over
looking for an arm bar. Attacking the arm. get the ARM BAR SUBMISSION ATTEMPT. CAN HE GET IT? OH AND OH. KIMURA ATTEMPT WITH A KIMURA ATTEMPT. A KIMURA ATTEMPT FOR BATARA AND THE TAP. IS HE GOING TO GET IT? [screaming] AND IT'S CLOSE TO BEING FINISHED. CAN BATARA FINISH OFF KANYARTE? A DEEP KIMURA ATTEMPT BY ENKH ORGIL BATARA. OH MY GOODNESS. HOW'S KANYARTE SURVIVING THIS? UNBELIEVABLE. AND IT'S TAP AND IT'S OVER. ENKH ORGIL BATARA HAS SUBMITTED ERAN KANYARTE HERE TONIGHT. UNBELIEVABLE. YOUR WINNER by way OF KIMURA ENKH ORGIL [screaming] BATARA.
ENKH ORGIL BATARA who eventually reached the pinnacle of his career when he won his first world title in December 2025. On July 31st, ONE Flyweight MMA world champion Enkh Orgil Batara who makes his first title defense against the undefeated Elipack Alishaw at the Inner Circle 24 in Bangkok, Thailand. Still to come, Ankor Gils Baterhu continues his chase for glory. Welcome back to ONE Weekly. On July 31st at the Inner Circle 24, Ankor Gils Baterhu and Elipack Alishaw collide for the ONE Bantamweight MMA World Championship. Since 2023, Baterhu proved he is a force to be reckoned with in the Bantamweight division. To strengthen his case as a title contender, he squared off against Jeremy "The Jaguar" Pacatiw in March 2025.
The Tormentor landed a spinning wheel kick to send the action to the canvas. Now if he can create separation of the hands, Jeremy's trying to keep his hands locked and stay protected. Ooh, brutal elbow to the body right there of Baterhu. Pacatiw survived but struggled to find answers against his opponent's grappling game. Baterhu showed no signs of stopping in the final round. Pacatiw's got to get to work right now and cause some significant damage again against Baterhu as we This is the third and final round between the number four ranked contender Baterhu and number five ranked contender Pacatiw.
Southpaw stance is Baterhu back to conventional. See if Pacatiw can keep his distance. He's trying to keep the space, comes in, looking for the uppercut to the straight right hand, not there. He's got to stay moving. He doesn't want to get trapped inside that corner, stay light on his feet as Ankor goes momentarily switches to thinks about the left kick. But he's just slowly and methodically inching his way closer and closer. Pac is just looking to land that right hand, a body kick, and he's going for a takedown is Batara. And this is a position that he's been so successful in throughout the entirety of the fight.
Jeremy's going to reposition. The kick gave him that opportunity to close that distance. And go. If you're Pac, you have to find some way to rise to your feet because Batara is very comfortable and so successful from this position. Yeah, he's just inside the washing machine, right? It's just wash, rinse, repeat. You know, he's just being smothered. He can't get out of it. He's just stuck in that. I don't know if you've been caught in a rip tide in the ocean. I have. It sucks. You don't know where it's going. You just it's has control of you. There's nothing you can do, and that's kind of the position Jeremy's in. He knows how to swim. He knows what to do. He's just not able to
do what he wants. He tries to roll over here, gives up his back. See, he's just one step ahead, right? Enkh Orgil is just, you know, has an anticipation of what he's going to do. He's able to position himself correctly and maintain that position and do damage. Now Batara is in the guard of Pac to But Batara looking to land some ground and pound upon Pac to Or Enkh Orgil Batara has won two in a row, looking to extend his win streak to three. Strike there from the guard by Pac to Yeah, Jeremy's trying to put his feet on the hips, right? He's trying to get his legs involved. You don't just want to lie there and let your arms do all the work and try to push and try to frame.
You got to get your legs involved if you're trying to get your opponent off of you. And he's trying to get the feet on the hips. But you can see the way that Enkh Orgil Batara is sliding his hips around, and it makes it hard for Jeremy to do this, right? To create the space, get him back up to his feet. Finally able to do it. Orgull steps in. Works to get past the guard. Interesting. As Jeremy threatened the arm bar, he slides his arm out, able to get into the front headlock position. See what he does with it. Jeremy's trying to hold the hands.
Trying to drive in with a leg. And Orgull is too strong. And Ang Orgull Bataru controlling Jeremy Pacatiw on the back of the Filipino. And this is a position you do not want to be in if you're Pacatiw. Yeah, Pacatiw's trying to get some revenge for all his Filipino compatriots as of late, and Ang Orgull has just been on such a streak as of late as well. There's an arm bar attempt, but beautiful defense from Jeremy as he's looking for some activity. But uh it's smothered again in the north-south.
Great grappling awareness from Ang Orgull Bataru. Just such a physical style, a grinding style, and he just continues to be relentless is Bataru. Yeah, you're you're just being smothered by him, right? He's so good at this, right? Chest-to-chest, right? Holding you into position, not allowing you to do what you want. See, Jeremy's trying to shrimp over, trying to hip escape onto his side, and he's trying to dig the underhook with his right hand, right underneath the armpit of Bataru. Bataru's just not letting him, but he does get back up to his feet.
What can Jeremy do here in the final 60 seconds? Can he separate himself and avoid the takedown, but putting him right back on the canvas is Bataru. And just dragged right back down, back into the deep end. Under a minute remaining in the fight. This has been Ang Orgull Bataru controlling Jeremy Pacatiw, utilizing that ground and pound, going after submission attempts, a couple of knees being delivered by the Mongolian. Yeah, great control from Enkh Orgil Baatarkhuu. For Baatarkhuu, again, this has been just a dominant performance that we have witnessed here this evening, Mitch.
Yes, it has been, right. Jeremy's done a lot, you know, as much as he can in certain situations to avoid being finished and try to get back up to his feet with some urgency. But, Enkh Orgil's just too much. Just The tormentor is making it very, very difficult for Jeremy to get off anything. Now, he is trying to go deep half, trying to scramble out of this as the 10-second clapper sounds. What can he do? And Enkh Orgil just keeps him exactly where he wants him. Some brutal nasty little elbows to add insult to injury.
Inside control, Baatarkhuu. That ends the fight. Enkh Orgil Baatarkhuu, a clinical-like performance, likely headed towards his third straight victory. In this top five contender ranking match up here in the bantamweight mixed martial arts division, that man, Enkh Orgil Baatarkhuu. Your winner by unanimous decision, ENKH ORGIL Baatarkhuu earned a shot at the bantamweight MMA world title and battled Fabricio Wonder Boy Andrade in December 2025. The belt is a symbol of my work. It can't stop in here. It's Rick, everybody. Right, everyone? It shows that I reach the highest level of the sport.
I have the responsibility to remain the champion, and that's the hard part. N Aung La Nsang vs. Ok Rae Yoon, they'll fight anybody, anywhere. Hey, Aung La Nsang absolutely phenomenal. With Aung La Nsang, I get a new challenge, you know, a different style. I'm excited to also show how good I am in different areas. He is a grappler. His game doesn't change much from fight to fight. He tried to make me tired. This time, I'm going to show how good my grappling is.
YOU ARE [screaming] NEXT. THIS STYLE OF DEFENSE IS IMPORTANT because of his style. He's a guy who has a different style from every opponent I faced before. For me to defend my belt against him now and dominate the fight is going to show that I'm in a different level. It's important for me to remain the champion. Definitely, I'm going to finish the fight. The belt is going to stay with me. Both men traded heavy shots in the opening round. But, it was Batara who connected with a spinning back kick. Aynk with it. Aynk lands with a spinning heel kick.
The Mongolian challenger dug deep into his arsenal and started pulling away in round two. Batara to attack. Oh, underneath with a beautiful double leg. Wonder Boy tried to rally with his boxing, but Batara who and his ground game had other plans. The tormentor aimed to finish the job in round four. We have got two rounds left in this world championship match. Round number four Fabricio Andrade, the champion, the challenger Aynk Orgo Batara. The war continues on.
I don't think Fabricio wants to clinch right here. He needs to keep the distance, keep his space, use the jab, and stay away. You're absolutely right, Tommy. He's done some serious damage to that face. I mean, it's like a target floating on Batara's eye there that he needs to pop that jab right down the center and then follow up with the left. He needs to spin him off the ropes right here. Aynk's doing a good job of just coming forward. Relentless pressure. Can't put this guy away.
Yeah, Aynk Orgo Batara is using that catcher's mitt defense. He's catching all the punches with his face. But, just to get this, this is where he wants to be. He wants to be smothered on top on Andrade. Andrade gets back up to turtle. Aynk Orgo looks to jump on top, secure the back position. Now, he could slide out the back door cuz his second hook isn't in. But, if he gets that second hook he ends up on top. Flattens him out. Maintains the upright. He's going to pin that arm and rain down shots. Oh, no. Fabricio Andrade has got to move. FABRICIO ANDRADE HAS GOT TO GET UP. Aynk Orgo Batara has the arm over the neck.
Looks like he has a strangle almost. Choosing the strike to set it up. Pushes down the hand to create a little bit of space to land some punches in bunches coming down on Fabricio Andrade who scrambles with the toe That is TIGHT GUYS. THAT IS IT. UNBELIEVABLE GUYS. INCREDIBLE SHOW OF HEART. AN ANGLE BADOU IS NOW the bantamweight mixed martial arts champion OF THE WORLD. [screaming]
ANKLE BADOU who ushered in a new era in the bantamweight MMA division. On July 31st, he makes his first title defense against the undefeated Azerbaijani challenger Elbek Alishov at the Inner Circle 24.
