Santa Claus is coming soon, and if you want to impress him on Christmas Eve, I highly recommend doing so with these incredible Christmas cookies, full of chocolatey goodness. The man in red simply won't be able to resist. So, if you're looking for a great baking project to do with the kids this holiday season, I highly recommend these cookies. It is extremely tasty, and also very interesting and perfect for children. Well, let's start, I'm mixing the dry ingredients. So, I have two cups of all-purpose flour here. I add a tablespoon of baking powder and half a teaspoon of salt to it

. I'll just take a whisk and mix everything until the ingredients are well combined. And then I'll put it aside. We want to make sure the baking powder is well distributed throughout the flour so the cookies rise evenly. Well, wouldn't it be a Christmas cookie if it did n't have a lot of butter in it? Probably not. I have one cup of softened butter in a bowl. I'll add some brown sugar to it, as well as white. Then I'll take a hand mixer and beat everything until the mixture is light and fluffy. Sure, I could use a stand mixer, but a hand mixer gives me just the right amount of intensity that makes me feel like I'm burning off those extra Christmas calories. So I'm leaving the hand mixer. Now you can add two eggs

, as well as a good portion of vanilla extract. All the classic cookie ingredients. I mix everything again with a hand mixer until completely smooth. And now it's time to add the dry ingredients. We want the cookies to be more nutritious and have a great texture. So I'll add some oatmeal as well. I use traditional long- cooking oatmeal. You can use instant cereal if you have it. And I just mix them into the dough. Believe me, friends, it will be incredibly delicious. It's been a while since we've had puns about food. So now I have a classic oatmeal cookie dough.

You can add almost any toppings you want to this dough. For example, any chocolate in the form of drops. You can add some nuts, raisins, or cranberries here. You can add crushed pretzel pieces or even potato chips. I saw how they did it. Pieces of toffee or caramel drops would be very appropriate here. Today I'm going for a classic: I'm adding a cup and a half of holiday-colored M&M's This also includes a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and half a cup of white chocolate. I think it's safe to say that these cookies will be Santa's favorites this holiday season. Deer get carrots. And Santi gets all the cookies. I mix it all together until the filling is well combined with the dough.

Now it's time to shape the cookies. You may want to use a cookie scoop, but in my house, they like big cookies. So I'll take an ice cream spoon instead. If you want to find a happy medium, you can make cookies of any size, but for me, an ice cream scoop is the best choice. I'm starting. Then I'll take the dough with my hands and give it a little flattened shape. Then I spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Well, friends. These beauties are ready for the oven. The oven is preheated to 175 degrees. I will bake them for about 9-10 minutes. After that, I'll take them out and decorate the top with even more delicious M&M's. I can't do anything about it. I have to add a little more to make them as festive as possible. If

you add the M&M's too early, they will crack during baking because they can't withstand the high heat. So keep the M&M's in the oven for only a couple of minutes. Then I'll put them back in the oven for, say, a couple more minutes. It's already starting to smell like real Christmas. They look amazing, don't they? I'm ready to taste it, friends. Take my word for it. Let them cool for 5 minutes, then enjoy immediately. Pour the largest glass of milk you can find. Believe me, Santa will bring you something special because he will appreciate all your incredible efforts. They are simply incredible. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and very chocolatey. Almost perfect cookies.
