A famous stage for a fixture with a rich and exciting history. At Anfield, it had been a long time since Liverpool let Arsenal leave with maximum points. Manchester City have never lost at home to their latest opponents, but with no fear of reputations, Fabian Herzler's Brighton keep on climbing. And there'll be no half measures at Sanford Bridge where Chelsea's push for the top four pos the next threat for the League of Manchester United and Michael Carrick. This was a second meeting between Manchester City and Brighton at the Etiad in the space of 4 days. City won a penalty shootout in the League Cup on Wednesday night and now look to bounce back from their first top flight defeat
of the season at Aston Villa. Clubs up and down the country have been paying tribute to these sacrifices made by the armed forces community, past and present, ahead of Remembrance Day on the 11th of November. Commentary from Michael Brown and Ian Crocker. Lewis Dunc Brighton did stay in Manchester after the League Cup tie here on Wednesday. They've uh they're on a run of five successive away games at the moment. Quick free kick from Dun. Oh, that is SOME CROSS. AND DIPER SET IT UP for Yasin Ayari. They don't just wait. They don't just set it up. They have a look. Dump goes, you know what? I'm going to go with a big diagonal. I'm going to go for it.
I'm going to really put the pressure on City. And as he zings it in, he just react from there on. City just looking. The line of the defense is quite staggered. And it's just Nunez that mistake. And it falls perfect for him, doesn't it? City find themselves going behind again. Another goal conceded. headed away by Castillus. Here is Anderson again taking on Gomes at THE BETTER OF HIM AND JAI PUTS THE HEADER wide and Jay rising just past the post straight at Verbuken, but he almost found his way to goal there. Wonderful run. He's just looking. I think that point he's just got to get his head up. He's sort of outstretched as he takes the strike on Costa Sy will replace Bardi shortly. Manay though could light things up for
Manchester City here. racing towards goal. It's a good save from Verbrooken and it's a corner. Jai so quick when he gets in his stride in that strike. Good save. Gavardial given away to Castina Vuskovic with a flick now for Gross. Brightner showing off. It's a lovely cross too and Donnaruma saves from Diper. Kyper just coming all the way across and defensively you've seen Nunz is already on the floor. Didn't look comfortable. Nunz and Jay possible opening here.
HARLAND'S THERE WAITING and Vivic intervened. No back pass is given. Where else is he supposed to go? He just blocks it. Gets his body in. He knows exactly where he's stopping it too cuz he can't take it with the other leg, can he? Manchester City continue to probe. So a flurry of activity from the bench in a moment. IT'S MATAS NUNES. BRILLIANT SAVE IS HARLAND AND he's seen his effort diverted wide. Just have a little look at this pass here. Absolutely brilliant. And the pass inside almost strikes away. Harland just on the spin. Diverted wide O'Reilly.
Douku Jeremy Dou advancing to good effect. O'Reilly's cross and Jai unable to turn it in. Nico Riley lovely ball right across the face. He's arriving late. It's going to look easy to lots of people. I think at this level he's got to do better. Has Master City come again? Couple of minutes left of the 90 as we wait to hear how many minutes might be added on. Henov Alan MADE GOOD PROGRESS. HENOV SAVED BACK BY NICO O'REILLY. AN AGONIZINGLY WIDE FOR MANCHESTER CITY. You don't GET MUCH CLOSER THAN THAT. Good save. And Nico O'Reilly's got to hit the target. You know he's good with his head. We've seen him do that. And look how close it goes.
The last 30 seconds at the Etiad. Jeremy Dou. Dou trying TO FIND A WAY THROUGH. HE HAS DONE. AND VERUKEN STANDS FIRM, BUT IT'S GOING TO BE A MANCHESTER CITY corner right at the end. Well, doy finally gets through and there just watch coming over. He forces it near post. Donnaruma is in there to add considerable height in the closing seconds. Now or never for City. FODDEN TAKES THE CORNER. HARLAND POPS IT BACK. AND BRIGHTON SURVIVE. AND BRIGHTON HAVE DONE IT. AND BRIGHTON HAVE WON IT.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT FOR BRIGHTON. IT ENDS AT THE ETIAD. MANCHESTER CITY NIL. Brighton won. Manchester City's defeat meant the following day's match at Liverpool took on even more significance for Arsenal. The champions would go three points clear at the top if they could win at Anfield for the first time since 2012. Watching on Mury side for us were Matt Upson and Connor McNamara. Now Liverpool have worked themselves into an unnecessary spot of bother here. And this is Bruno Garay. Noni Maduke Declan Rice. WHAT A BALL. BRILLIANT GOAL FOR ARSENAL. KAI HBERT SCORES EARLY AT THE CUP END. AND A LIVERPOOL DEFENSIVE
error is thoroughly punished. RUTHLESS FROM THE CHAMPIONS AS KAI HAVS MAKES IT LIVERPOOL NIL. Arsenal one. Have a look at this overlap. It's absolutely superb from Rice. He creates the space. The ball in is excellent. Flashes it across that horrible no man's land area that no defender or goalkeeper really want to deal with. What a great start for Arsenal. great delivery in Rya couldn't commit himself too early and that is the scariest moment for Arsenal's defense so far today there was also this Matt Isac keep an eye on him here and that's surprising for me that's that's definitely impacted Isak's ability to head that ball hasn't it that surely has to be spotted and the QUEUING UP AT THE BACK POST.
MADU TIMBER. HOW DID THAT NOT go in? Odigard plays on Rice and eventually saved by Allison. Timber both him and Mueki all the way forward. I mean, how often do you see Timbo in that advanced position? Gak post corner. VIRGIL VAN DJK. ISAK. SO CLOSE. Liverpool get a corner again. David Ry just in his way. Could he really gone for that EAC? I think he's aware of the goalkeeper there. V. OH, IT'S OFF THE CROSSBAR. Liverpool within a lick of paint of an equalizer. Now they got to get back. What a moment that could have been for Florian V. Gabby Rya. He shouldn't really get beaten from there, but that is a brilliant free kick. Nearly perfect.
the latest cross. MALLISTER big moment has to score. Simply has to score this. And all he's got to do is head this ball with power downwards. If he's down, it's in. What a chance. Days like this, the champions show their quality. This is Jonish and Odar just couldn't keep it down. He was under considerable pressure. The last touch came off Jac is very good defending this. Arsenal get a corner. He's going to say what a touch that is. It's an important touch from the Liverpool center back. Now Konzo Lewis Skele aware of the location of Meawa behind Kirk SITS UP FOR CHALIS. WHAT A SAVE. Allison keeps Liverpool's deficit
to one. That's his biggest moment of the game so far for the Brazilian. Well, just brilliant moments of quality. Look at this for a finish from TZ. That is so hard to control that ball. But I have to say the save more than matches the strike. What a get that is from Allison. Barca screams for it and receives. This is Bradley Barcola. Allison's defense refuses to bend or break and Ezri K is having a marvelous game. You have to say he's been absolutely top class. His distances from the players are superb. Alexis Mallister's got quite fired up here. He's gone to the ground claiming a headbutt from Madaweki when they squared up.
It's a yellow for Mallister and a yellow for Timber. I assume Timber just reacted to the situation once Mallister was shouting over top of Odard who was on the floor and then the rest just spiraled out of control. Arsenal fans who haven't seen their team win a league game here at Anfield since 2012. THIS IS MUNOZ. OH, HE DID SO WELL TO get there. Squeezing in between two defenders, but David Rya made the save. And yet again, the pressure is there from the Arsenal defenders. No team in the Premier League has ever come here to Anfield and prevented Liverpool from having even one shot on target.
Malister in ahead of Joz who was weak there. Munoz shot from Ingamoa deflects out for a corner. We move into stoppages. Well, how many times have we seen Mallister pounce onto a loose ball this afternoon? and he has been absolutely superb for Liverpool. Arsenal go back to the top of the Premier League table as they win in the league at Anfield for the first time in 14 attempts. Smiles all round for the visitors. The goal from Kai Havs was enough to win it. Liverpool have still only had one home league victory under Antonio. And after this long, long wait for a league victory here, history will record that it was Halloween weekend when Arsenal finally laid their Anfield ghost to rest. Liverpool nil, Arsenal 1.
Blue skies above Stamford Bridge, but some dark clouds have followed these two of late. Chelsea suffered a rare home defeat to Spurs, followed by a cup exit at Liverpool. But it was far worse for Michael Carrick's Manchester United who'd failed to win in eight games in all competitions. Here's Andy Townsend and John Champion Stau. Ahad's dropping back in. Yeah, good call. Clearly offside. and Rogers challenges. Lman's come sprawling and now Manchester United can break with Brian and Burmo and Bruno Fernandez racing through the center and he's been found and the only thing lacking was calmness in the finish.
The very least that should happen there is that Mike Penders has to get his gloves on it. But that's a wild loose finish that from Bruno Fernandez and Angelo comes out to Brighton Burmo and Burmo tried to enlist the help of Kuna. In the end, the ball he gives to Matteas Kuna is a slightly awkward one. He's running at such pace to try and get away from the defender. Bruno Fernandez. Maguire and touched in Matteas Couna. Wonder if he's offside. Matteas Kuna. He looks like he is. Well, the V is James Bell. And his advice to Peter Banks is that this should be disallowed, which is a decision that's gone down
particularly well in London SW6. Stal with it. Pstra and then it came off Kaisedo and off the post. Well, that could have easily sneaked in the net. I think it's Fanai. Yeah, that makes first contact and it hits Kaisedo. Oh, Ahmed has got goalside again. Huge mistake by Chelsea's central defender. just catches his foot there a little bit in fairness to Amadi, but he's got to score Lavia got rid of it to Rogers AND MORGAN ROGERS RUNS ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND FINISHES DELIGHTFULLY. MANCHESTER UNITED SPLIT APART. Great play from Romeo Lavia. Gets that put in, sets his team up there, and watch Rogers now just go straight through the middle of all those red shirts. And then the hardest bit at the
end. That's the tough bit. This bit here. United had chances first half, couldn't take them. This guy gets through and just knows he's got to lift that over the top of the goalkeeper. That's a brilliant, brilliant goal. Rogers. Martinez did his best to impede him and still Rogers goes on. And eventually there will be a yellow card for the persistent Landro Martinez. That shows you that run there just shows you how strong Morgan Rogers is. Andro is grabbing him. He still can't hang on to him. Then he comes to try and take a piece of him. still got the ball. Corner little deeper this time.
A challenge there which has left Chelsea appealing straight into the face of the referee and V will take a closer look at that. He's come from miles away there. He's lost his man and then he's got his arm up in his face. That's a definite penalty. There's no doubt about that. In my mind, that is a pen. Manchester United at number six commits a reckless challenge with his arm. The final decision is a penalty kick and a second yellow card. And in that instant the game may well have gone for Manchester United and the game might be up for Michael Carrick.
K Palmer two via the goalkeeper. center goes the right way. Yeah, he'd be disappointed the goal. He hasn't saved that because it's it is very makeable from his point of view. A champ out by heaven. Lavia Palmer looking to make mischief. Stab three-0. FEARSOME AND FULMINATING and Manchester United are being taken apart here. It's close. It's going to be close. Of course, can never quite tell from that angle. What we do know he's not on his right foot when he gets his head down and keeps going. It's a great strike.
It is going to be chalked off. against a bow. And today you can see what all the fuss is about with this young Brazilian. What a strike that is. Great save as well. Bruno Fernandez and Burmo and then Heaven with the followup. [screaming] Flag then goes up. But what a strike by Brian and Burmo. Where he's unlucky is you usually see these coming down over the line off that crossbar. Morgan Rogers. Well back. GUSTO AND BARCO. Chelsea have been so wasteful. Great play again. It's a really good ball in. That is that's everything you want if you're a midfielder arriving in the box as Valentine Marco was there.
I think the biggest problem for Michael Carrick, John, is that the spirit looks broken, doesn't it? More than anything, a spirit looks like it's gone. A Halloween horror show for Manchester United. Nine games without a win. Their most barren run since 1988. Big decisions sherked so far by Messi Wilcox and Barada may need to be made. And it finishes Chelsea 2, Manchester United nil. As the nights close in, Aston Villa look more like their old selves. A hot reception for Fulham guaranteed in the Midlands. That's still to come.
It may only have been the last day in October, but for two sides already in a spot of bother at the foot of the table, this was a potentially significant fixture. Coventry had lost six of their eight games following promotion, while Sunderland's only league win came at the end of August. Michael Bridges and Jonathan Beck saw this one. Perfectly excited for Manevac and they're not the BEST DEFENDING. OH, IT'S AKAMOTO. JUST WHAT THEY'VE BEEN WAITING FOR. A first half goal stroke beautifully into the corner. Sunderland undone by another defensive mistake. All credit to Sakamoto because he does not know that ball is going to come and land in that
area. But what he is, he is the first to react. Robbie wanted the early ball over the top. It didn't come, but Jaca could maybe play it now if he gets back on side. He's not at the moment. So, Jaca's having to hold it. Here is Brobby. Takes aim and misses anyway. And that would have been tight. Had to trick his run to get back on side. Oh, it would have definitely gone to VR there, Jonathan. But that was from back to front for Sun. It's their best pass of play so far. Victor to Ruth waits and he's taught for commentary and it's very nearly inside the post. Gets across his goal really well to get a hand to it. looking for Awani. Oh, he's nicked that back really well. TAYWANI SINGLE-MINDED
AND BRILLIANT. Breathing space for Coventry. A determined, dynamic, and ultimately really cool finish. And what is so good about this finish? You'll see two players. He takes the touch. He goes back across goal. Boho providing a nice pivot too. Rodoni and it's ON HIS LEFT. OH, IT'S DEFLECTED IN. ANOTHER DEFLECTION. ANOTHER COMMENTARY GOAL. 3-0. WELL, it's a huge moment. 3-0 up at home in Rodoni. You can't allow a man of his quality on the ball and his striking ability. It was a wellworked move by Coventry.
Talk for Boho Jacka. Now that's better. And Isidor has a first chance here. Only Broby really up with him at the moment. Talby making up good ground. Here's Shimsy. KBY maybe a touch closer than Braby's in the first half, but the first sign of Sunderland renaissance. Rof's had a look, sized it up and he's found 09. And that is deflected too. Sunderland seam ball referee at the moment says corner. Well, it's definitely going to be looked at because I'm with Luk and what you'll see the strike from my angle here looks like it
clearly hits somebody's hand. I think it's Pinnick. After a view, the commentary number two comes home for fence. Penalty kick. Pinnock. He's shaking his head, but he'll know exactly what he's done. Lefay to bring Sunderland back and he does just what they needed and maybe just enough time left too. And now with about a quarter of the game to go thanks to Ethan Finnick Ham ball, there's a little bit of chance now. Jaca's ball. And here's 09. time to get there. What a block. It's a painful one, but it's a crucial one.
This is absolutely incredible. Rushworth behind him was probably going to make the save anyway, but that's so brave. Well, the Nate is sold for farmer short. Well, he could break and score a fourth here. Sharif is in. Has he given him it a little early? Siliki Sharif wins the free kick. And that'll do just as nicely, I think, for contri at the moment. It eats up a little bit more time. And a yellow card for Sunderland's defender who just couldn't get back in time. Alder Rodoni looking to go underneath and he couldn't risk another deflected goal.
Robin Rubs behind it goes. Well, Rodon's tried to do the under the wall effort because Sunland didn't have as you call the draft excludder player behind there. Rodoni who forces his way through. This could be a red card. That could be tricky. He's already been booked. He's only been booked a moment or two ago and now he's got another. One of the biggest cheers of the afternoon from the home support. Alder with his second yellow card in almost as many minutes. And Sunderland are down to 10.
Well, there is full time and it is Frank Lampard and Commentary City who celebrating this battle of the bottom two. Nine points from nine games. Feels a whole lot better. This could be a huge three points come the end of the season. Coventry three. Sunderland one. In mid-table, both these clubs had shown they intend to do more than make up the numbers in the Premier League. Though Hull were getting restless after six league games without a win. On route to promotion, which came out on top twice against the Tigers last season, albe it before Gary O'Neal took charge. Watching their latest encounter, Andy Walker and Jackie Oley.
laying it off. And here's Watara. He can shoot from distance. Don't worry about that. But now THEY'RE IN WITH FLORENTINO. OH, AND THERE IS THE OPENING GOAL. FLORENTINO HAS GOT THEM OFF THE MARK. Brilliant play from Motara for the setup. And look at the movement for Florentino. He takes one TOUCH TO CONTROL AND MY goodness that is an emphatic finish. Here's Philigy. They'll be looking to this man Mohamed Balumi to do something. Oh, and they're claiming a penalty there. They are adamant that should have been a penalty.
Check complete. Play on. Yeah, I don't think it was a penalty. There was a coming together. I think it's the right call. Jaden Pilligene made the corner against his former club. Oh, where's this ball going? BUT THIS IS A MESS. IT'S A MESS. AND IT'S A GOAL. AND IT'S JULIO AND CISO, BUT HE'S BEEN CALLED BACK. And V are having a look at this. It's been ruled out. Judged to have been a foul before the ball hit the back of the net from Eniso and Ciso. It's a fine ball through for Emerson. Mendy's with him. Brazilian needs some support here.
He hasn't got any something to go himself. Oh, he's living dangerously. No Mendy and Everson's frustrated, but he didn't have an outlet there. Is it a foul? I'm not sure. It is just a coming together. No penalty confirmed by our V today, Davis. Now here's Iraun in so much space. THIS IS SO UNUSUAL IN THIS GAME FOR Hull and Hole City are level. Tim Iraun with his first whole city goal and how they needed that. Well, you THOUGHT HE WAS NOW GOING TO PULL THE TRIGGER. I DON'T KNOW WHAT LEAF DAVIS is doing at THE HALFWAY LINE BUT IS DEFINITELY ON SIGHT and he DRIVES FORWARD AND NO ONE COMES TO AND THEY
HAVE LOOKED BETTER AND THEY'VE GOT THE equalizer for Giles. Now Cho Giles with a delivery towards Mcernney AND COYLE GOES FOR GOAL. MY GOODNESS, HE STRUCK IT WELL. COY, just hovering around at the edge of the box. Strikes it really well with the instep, BUT CAN'T GET THAT curl on the ball to get it on target [screaming] now. Bloomie. Bloomie wants it on HIS LEFT FOOT. OH, THAT'S A FOUL IN A dangerous area. And that'll be a free kick to Hull City. And Ipsswich Town are on red alert.
Slater standing over this with a right foot. Will it be Balumi with the left perhaps? Or even Mcveri AND OLLIE MCERNNEY HAS SCORED AGAIN IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE FOR WHOLE CITY. WELL, I'M SO PLEASED for him. HE HIS WORK RATE IS TERRIFIC. HE GETS THIS ON TARGET. BUT WHERE'S THE GOALKEEPER? LOOK AT HIS POSITION. CHRISTIAN WALTON. HE'S RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GOAL. THE LEFT HAND SIDE IS HIS SIDE. HE'S GOT TO SAVE IT. I MEAN, IT DOESN'T EVEN GO IN RIGHT at the post. I THINK IT'S A GOALKEEPING ERROR, BUT CREDIT TO MC BURNLEY.
CISO ALL WHAT A STRIKE. JULIO AND CISO WITH A MOMENT of magic. That is absolute quality. maybe gets a wee bit of the break of the ball, but then A QUICK SHIFT ONTO HIS LEFT FOOT. And it's the accuracy, IT'S THE POWER. SILIS CAN'T GET ANYWHERE near it. Total control here. Brillins. What a finish. Picking the ball up here. He's surrounded by two OR THREE HOG PLAYERS, BUT GETS THE BREAK. A LITTLE BIT OF SKILL AND A SHUFFLE ONTO his left foot. Absolutely wonderful finish. This will feel like three points that got away if it were to be a winner for Hull City. Bloom. That is what they're pushing for.
Norton Cuffy. OH, AND NORTON CUFFY GOING FOR GOAL. WHAT A SAVE FROM CHRISTIAN WALTON. IT MAY possibly have been heading just wide anyway, but Walton wasn't taking any chances. Great save from Walton and the substitute. You want him to make an impact. Norton Cuffy here just driving into the box. Make sure they don't foul him. He gets A SHOT AWAY AND A LOVELY TOUCH from the keeper Walton. Great save. And that's it. They do have to settle for a point a piece in a topsyturvy first ever top flight meeting between these two sides. And it's finished.
Whole city 2. It's switched town two. An air of optimism inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium where the home side went in search of a third successive league win for the first time in 616 days. Roberto deserve his men may be turning a corner but the situation remained bleak for Crystal Palace and there under pressure new manager Pierre S. He'd overseen just two victories in eight league games and feared the worst here once Jean Philippe Mateta was sent off for that lunge on Mickey Van that may have lacked intent but was still enough to warrant a red card following the intervention of V who didn't take long to upgrade referee Michael Oliver's yellow.
That came after 13 minutes and Spurs were ahead after 25. M goodas picking out an unmarked Archie Gray who also scored Tottenham's winner at Shurst Park last season in what proved to be the club's last victory under Thomas Frank. It was one-way traffic thereafter as Saj's side attempted to keep a foothold in the game, but Spurs killed them off 17 minutes from time when Yan Paul Vaneka converted Matteas Fernandez's cross at the second time of asking and while sitting down. Deserve his men really should have had a third. 18-year-old Luca Williams Barnick came off the bench for his Premier League debut and set up Cudas with a dazzling run. The less said about his shot, the better. But another shot in
the arm for Tottenham, who last recorded successive home wins in the league in 2024. Three league victories in a row was the target at Villa Park for the home team who'd seen off Newcastle before Nicholas Jackson's goals vanquished Manchester City and Fulham with Alvo Araloa's men keen to build on wins over Hulland Coventry. A Saturday evening out for Ephanoku and James Fielden. McInn free header but Leno behind it stopping his fellow countrymen. Yeah, didn't quite catch it cleanly. Leon Gretchka think took a little bit of a nick as well off Sandberger and the referee is going to be sent to the screen here.
It was Burger who went up there and I think this is going to be a fairly cut and dry decision for the referee here. After review, Fulham 16 commits a hand ball offense with a hand high above the head. Final decision will be penalty kick. John Mcin. OH, IT'S OFF THE BAR. It's not a good penalty, is it? Nothing too smart. Fulham could break forward here. Can they get it right? Only two up for now as Robinson scampers up field. Oh, lovely leave and bob to score. INCREDIBLE. HOW HAS THAT NOT GONE IN FOR FULHAM? Great save from the Villa goalkeeper.
Poor play from Allison. Didn't fully commit to actually take that ball away from Anthony Robinson. One of the quickest defenders around. This is a super pass, isn't it? Me for Gonzalo Garcia. He leaves it for Oscar. It's a poor touch. Poor touch from Bob. Under no pressure at all. Yeah, that's an awful touch. Then he gets to. It's a great save. Manzambi. He can set away Jackson here. A man in a real hot streak at the moment. Nicholas Jackson TRYING TO WALK IT IN. HE STILL SCORES. IT'S SEVEN AND SEVEN FOR NICHOLAS JACKSON. WELL, once Aen Buger decided to actually go for the ball and miss it. They were always in
trouble, weren't they? Two against one. The ball was played nicely. When things are going well for you, doesn't the ball just land nicely? The composure is there. Totally transformed as a player. Burger can boom them forward. That he does here to find Garcia. Gonzalo Garcia. Oh, it comes through to King. What a claw away that was there by Suzuki. Comes to his team's rescue again. This is a great ball, isn't it, from Gonzalo Garcia once again. First touch from a Fulham play just allowing the goalkeeper to demonstrate his skills once again. zigzags back to Bassie. ROBINSONI ROBINSON BEAUTIFULLY WORKED AND IT SHOULD have been 1-1. Gonzalo Garcia right at the heart of things in the
middle but unable to force it home. It's a big touch from the goalkeeper. His fingertips into the body of Garcia who's got no time at all to react. FLIGHT IT IN AND FLICKED ON. And incredibly again it doesn't go in for Fulham from point blank range there. It looked as though Shay Charles would steer it home but once again Villa get away with it. McIn in Matson somehow out by Leno off Pow Torres isn't it? That's a good save from Burton Leno. Didn't overcommit. Bob Zambi and Bob it will be out and over.
Are Fulham ever going to score in this game? This is getting ridiculous. Well, once again, Zan Suzuki to the rescue is super play isn't it from Oscar Bobi should score. That's a timid header from Alexobi. Iobi whips it right in there. Oh, DID IT GO OVER THE LINE. IT'S A GOAL AND IT LOOKS TO BE AN OLYMPICO. Praise the goalkeeper all night, haven't we? Said how comfortable he's been with his hands. How commanding in the box. His delivery with his feet as usual. Superb. Didn't show enough determination to actually push the Fulham player. That's what they call a clanger.
Come on, Mcinn. Cash. GREAT BALL AND TORRES nodded it just wide. Good chance. Good. Good chance. Free header. Took their time working on that far side. A villa when it comes in. It's a beauty. Buendía. And Torres. Well, he's not even them wide on both sides of the post now. Well, the last cross was a little bit too high for him. This one sort of dipped. Oh, he's sort of leaning into it. Not really attacking the ball. He's just sort of waiting for it to come and he just doesn't quite connect with it cleanly enough. A point of piece certainly more frustrating if you're a Villa fan for Fulham. Good value and maybe it should have been more as well. Zan Suzuki
scoring an own goal as the corner was whipped in towards him. and he dropped it over the line that gave Fulham the equalizer after Nicholas Jackson's opener 6 minutes before the break and these two sides will have to take a point a piece on a frustrating night for both for different reasons. Full time at Villa Park, Aston Villa won full-on one. Having lost at Everton in the cup during the week, Newcastle had an immediate opportunity to extract revenge on Tinside in the Monday night game.
Beaten just once in the league so far, there's a real buzz about Brenford's prospects of breaking into European competition for the first time. Not an easy place for Nottingham Forest to turn around a run of three defeats in four that had dropped them into the relegation zone. Oliver Glasnner's men are creating lots of chances but rarely finding the net. James Matei continued a theme the head coach has found hugely frustrating. Brenford are more ruthless as Manchester City drew a blank. The Bees are now the only team who scored in all their Premier League games so far. Dango's strong run kept them on that path. The finishing touch applied by Forest's unfortunate Nicola Mealankovic.
The defender's eagerness to cut out the cross backfired badly. The visitors did have some luck seeing a free kick crash against the crossbar from Matias Jensen. Good fortune that helped Forest remain in contention deep into the second half. That's when Jadden Anthony made an impact just a few minutes after coming off the Brenford bench. Racing onto a perfectly weighted pass from fellow substitute Aaron Hickey. Igor Thiago was waiting in the middle and with a big deflection off Melenovic. This time the points were definitely in the bag. While Forest still can't catch a break, Keith Andrews men are looking forward to another week in the top six.
What fun Bournemouth and their supporters have had of late. The Cherries took on Leads United having won five games in a row without conceding in all competitions. Leadeds boasted the second best defensive record in the Premier League, but of growing concern were without a win in four. They started brightly though and looked to have taken the lead after 11 minutes when Dominic Calbert Leuen turned in James Justin's cross only for V to rule out the goal for hand ball when it flew back at the England striker of goalkeeper Jordi Petravvic. Having survived that scare the host began to settle and then benefited from a James Traford error. His poor pass
landed at the feet of Clive who quickly played in Eban Neielson. The Brazilian has now scored in each of his last four league games, but Trafford was not one of those to appreciate that particular statistic. There wasn't much to separate the sides thereafter, but the host made sure of the points in stoppage time. Junior Krooppy with a neat pass to the feet of Amin Adley. And the Moroccan calmly slotted home his first Premier League goal since February to make it six of the best for Marco Rosa's fast rising side.
4 days after tumbling out of the League Cup at Everton, Newcastle had the chance to gain revenge and give Matias Yaiser a good start to November. St. James' Park was the last place the Toffees took maximum points on the road thanks to Tienno Barry's late winner more than eight months ago. Commentary from Jim Beglin and Mark Scott. Oh, HELPED ON HANDILY. BARRIES IN and fluffs his lines. Well, it's another big chance that Barry has passed up this season. Yeah, I agree. I mean, he's ended up miskicking it. Jbury Hall cuts it back. Armstrong. Oh my word. That's an absolute howler from Harrison Armstrong.
He's just opened his body up way too much. That's cleverly done. George is in. OH, IT SQUIRMS UNDER HORNICHEK AND THIIANO BARRY WASN'T MISSING THAT ONE. For now, Everton celebrate. The video assistant referee Paul Howard is checking that all was present and correct. The keeper should be gathering that. But you got to remember we saw a little bit of rain at the start of this second half. So, it's it's slippier the pitch and it seemed to go against Hornichek's effort. Speaking of tapins, it doesn't get any more descriptive than that. So this goal is good and Newcastle United are behind to Tiano Barry's tap in.
Look at the room here for Jbury Hall and he might make the most of it. Tipped over by Hornichek. Gonzalez has left that huge gap for Dbury Hall to try and pick a spot. Deep one from Garner. Oh, and the header. Great save, Hornichek. Oh, so close to a twogoal lead for Everton there. Yeah, just kind of held his ground and got above Barnes. Jake O'Brien and Hornichek had to be lively. Oh, it's in. No, looked like it'd gone over the line from here, but John Brooks had a quick look at his watch and nothing doing.
Well, the V saying just a delay here while they cast their eye across it as well. Well, that's a bit like one of your golf shots. The amount of backspin that the ball got there. Should be Pigford's and he's decided to punch that. Could trial not far away from a Newcastle leveler. I think the keeper was struggling to get there. Had it been on target, I don't think he would have. Share a few Newcastle fans start to drift away and others shake the head and ponder what is the next step for their side.
Tore whistle. [screaming] YELL. I WAS ABOUT TO SAY YES FOR YAN WHISTLER, BUT JORDAN PIKFORD STUCK OUT A BOOT TO keep him at bay. I mean, this is arguably their best move in the whole of the game. getting it wide to Toué who picked out a beautiful pass and we say in attempting to find the back of the net they're just held pick for its course going right down the middle is certainly not a word you'd associate with Everton this evening as he flicks it away Ramsey you can understand it's just part of the frustration that they felt all evening long.

The champions have opened up a three-point lead over Manchester City with a home game against Hull to come before the international break. City go to Nottingham Forest next. Their next league game is at home to Aston Villa. Sunderland host Chelsea with fellow strugglers Crystal Palace also eyeing a big home game against Liverpool.

Artessa soon had an advantage to defend, whereas Iola was left wondering what might have been as the Reds racked up 17 shots, not one of them on target.
