It was just so cozy and comfortable, but you can actually see out the windows as you first come in. It's so cozy inside, but having all the world around you. Right. It was like bringing the outside in. So, eyes down. Don't look up. I'll tell you when you can look up. I'm overly excited to see it. Yeah. And uh yeah. Like a kid like at Christmas morning. Ready? Yes. On three maybe? One, two, three. Oh my gosh. it? It's It's incredible. looks so good. When we looked up and saw the tree house, I couldn't believe how everything just looked so perfect and
awesome and it really does look like an Irish cottage. Where's the tree house? To go with that Irish cottage, we did a live roof. It's like a succulent. We've got a watering system so you can dial it in. And what it does, it'll grow and grow. You don't have to mow it or anything. But it's it's like a seriously beautiful live roof and it'll make this roof last forever. Like, you know, 70 80 years. like moss, too. It looks Irish. Yeah, doesn't it have that Irish Oh, I love the shingles. Aren't they neat? Yes. Oh my gosh, look at the door. We worked really hard to make it happen. So, it was really a joy to just say, "Okay, here's your present."
Oh my gosh. It is incredible. Look at this fireplace. It's the coolest thing ever. I love the stonework around it. The fireplace is awesome. Wherever you are in the room, um you can see the fireplace and it's so perfect. Now, this couch by the way is a hide-a-bed. Now. Woohoo. Yeah. So, you have a guest room now. That's the guest room. We'll be staying up Yeah, I know. guest, they can stay in there. We're up Feels like our home already and we've only spent 30 seconds in it. Oh my gosh. The fact that Pete used such special memories really is touching. Oh, this is so cool. That's from our wedding. Oh my gosh.
Oh. There are no words to describe it to you. Oh. [snorts] Oh, it's so perfect. Oh, I love it. It was extremely emotional for me to see them um react the way they did. Oh man, that was too much. I really want to make people happy and excited about where they are in this moment on this earth and if you can get a little sunshine in your day with something like a tree house then and I can provide that, I mean, what a great thing. All right. Well, I want to take you to the porch. I got to take you to Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's do it.
We'll follow you. Okay. God. Look at that hummingbird feeders. Oh my gosh. Try out your new chairs. Oh, they're so cool. You like them? are amazing. Those chairs that Pete made, you didn't go to the store pick those up. He actually made those with his hands. are straight from his head into the wood and it just that's phenomenal. All the sunsets are going to be phenomenal. I know, I can't wait. So, I have one more surprise for you. Oh. Okay. So, the last surprise was the rain machine. Daryl, let her rip.
Huh? It's so cool. He made it rain, yeah. That was awesome. Now, we're truly in Ireland. If you need me to make it rain, I can make it rain. Does it feel like you're in Ireland? Yeah, it really does. It really does, yeah. Here we go. Now, look down. Don't look up. I'm always a little nervous when I'm showing the tree houses off to the clients for the first time. Just look down. But since we had a few bumps along the road in this one, I'm extra nervous today. Come over to the edge. I'm excited, but I'm also a little bit anxious.
I'm really on edge wondering if it's going to be everything that I want it to be. On three. 1 2 3 Wow! Amazing. It just looks like it fits there. Like that's where it's supposed to be. I mean, it's awesome. For them to react this way and be so pleased, great big relief for me. Woof. How can you not love this? Look at this. The treehouse is awesome. It speaks for itself. I mean, seriously. Pretty shocking, really. It's like a little house in the trees.
It just blends in to the rest of the trees. It looks like it should have always been there. OH MY GOSH! WOW! This is great! Amazing. Look at this. This is your new guest house. Do you notice something up there? The ladder from my treehouse when I was a kid. Your treehouse. I had no clue. I knew that part of the motivation in building this treehouse was because Nick grew up in one. That's awesome.
Isn't that awesome? You got me there. Selfishly inside, I've always wanted this just for myself. It kind of connects my childhood with my kids' childhood. So, look at this. I mean, we've got a whole kitchenette here. We've got the sink and we've got a refrigerator, microwave. You've got two bunk beds here for kids. Yeah. I love the trees. Isn't this great? Genius. I'm so glad you like it. Do these come from like around here? Yeah, just right here. Yeah. This is so cool. Neat. Upstairs, queen-size bed.
Oh, yeah. This is nice. Stephanie seemed really excited about all the different parts of this treehouse. The whole thing was a hit. And then, the honeymoon suite. looks great. Another queen-size bed right in there. I love this redwood. Best view in the treehouse. And then, here you can do your thing. You can play cards, you can have a nice meal. Oh my god. I was really excited to show them the breakfast nook because there are so many neat features in there. I mean, there's a lot of effort that went into that.
He's got the whole deal here. It's little touches like that, you know, that don't go unnoticed. Oh, that's nice. The curved wall of this little breakfast nook, I think it's one of the coolest features. I mean, it looks over the whole valley. You have a nice place to have a coffee in the morning. But, the views don't stop there. This is where you really feel like you're Oh, yeah. up in the tree, huh? Wow, amazing view. It's beautiful here. You picked a nice place to live. Well, you picked a nice spot. Bringing the treehouse down into the middle of all this beauty really helped us appreciate what we have, you know, the forest, the natural
environment. It's just like so different. I mean, it's so different than being up there and sitting on our patio. Come down here, you have a different feeling, and that's cool. Pete, this is awesome. We need to go get Hope down here. Yeah, good. Let's do that. It was really important for me to have Nick and Stephanie love this treehouse. But, the one who's going to spend the most time in here is Hope. Welcome to the party. It looks beautiful. It looks fantastic. So, room A or room B? Wow. I think I'm liking this one. It's nice, isn't it? You've got a great view.
This is nice. I feel relieved that Hope loves the place, because we really did misplace Hope when she left, and now she has a place to stay, and I feel great about that. Do you think you could get used to being in this place? You know, I think I could get used to it. It's a very securing feeling to be up there, just nestled away in the branches. It's just very welcoming and warm and hard to put into words. It's It's really amazing. Don't look up yet. I'll bring you to the right spot. The time has come to show Alison and Donald their treehouse. They envisioned a natural beehive hanging in one tree, which is beyond anything we've ever
built before. I think the crew and I pulled it off, but the final approval is up to the king and queen bee. Come over here. Just look down, because it's too much fun to do this. I am a little bit nervous, just because I kind of wanted it to look like a piece of art, and I'm not sure if it's going to or not. Eyes down. Don't try to peek. Come on in. I'm a little nervous cuz I don't know how high it's going to be. Okay, eyes down. You ready for this?
Yes. Okay. On three. 1 2 3. Oh my goodness. Wow. Actually beautiful. Look at Oh my goodness. It's amazing. You like it? Yay. I'm telling you, this is such a challenge. And that is magical. Absolutely magical. Is it fun? Beautiful. Hearing that Allison and Donald love their hive is like sweet buzzing music to my ears. I've got so much honey, but the bees and the me right now. Does it look like a beehive? Yeah, totally cuz it looks like it's just hanging off a tree. And it's so beautiful. It's really So beautifully wrapped around the tree and the curves and the shapes are so natural. The tree and the
hive have become one object. It's quite amazing how they blend together. I'll tell you one thing though, it looks pretty high. It's high. I'm not a big fan of heights either, but let's hope with this lit spiral staircase that Donald can overcome his fear. Okay, come on. Let's go and see. Oh my goodness. It's so cool. I love it. Look at this beautiful tree too, by the I know. I can't believe it. Just single tree. Single tree treehouse.
It's absolutely amazing. I can't believe it. I mean, to have something so structurally sound to look so amazing. Oh wow. Oh my goodness, look at this. I love these lights. It looks like a bee or something flying up here. Doesn't it? It's got a It's very beautiful, yes. Wow, look at that door. Isn't that something? Oh my goodness, the stained glass. It's just like glowing. This guy has completely captured the kind of honey feeling of it. It just looks like honeycomb.
Yeah. One of the most amazing things you notice straight away is like the stained glass in that door. It's so beautiful. Do you want to go in? Okay, let's go. Oh my god. Oh my goodness. That sounds good. I don't know where to look first. Who seen the lights? These lights are extraordinary. The natural lights, yeah. One thing that really strikes you when you enter the treehouse for the first time is the smell, the scent of it, the cedar wood. It just feels and smells absolutely beautiful and the light is
got this fantastic honey glow to it. So, the whole experience together is quite magical. I love the glass on the cabinets actually. That's really lovely. They open up. They have a little magnet And then this is your little meditation window and it opens. Oh, that's beautiful. With this low hexagonal window and cushy chairs, Allison can head to her treehouse to relax and also get that new perspective that she was looking for. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we have a living tree here. We have a living branch. You can't even see where the house and tree kind of begin and end. This is more than I imagined possible. I'm so glad.
Yeah, thanks guys. This is actually feels wonderful. I was worried about the height I must admit but it feels great actually. It feels stable when you're up there. So, I actually feel very comfortable with it. I think I'll spend a lot of time up there. Okay, so here's here's one more thing that's it. I mean there's so many things in here but you know, you did want to have a annex, right? We need some hammock. Oh, there's There's another one over there. So, the two of you can be hanging out literally. Look at that.
These hideaway hammocks will give Allison and Donald a chance to drift fast asleep as they sway among the trees. And this is your art. You recognize yourself? Is that me? Oh, you're kidding. Look at there's Chuck. And that's Henry being a tree. That's This treehouse was definitely outside Pete's comfort zone but he was willing to take the challenge and he met the challenge and surpassed it. He's quite a master and an artist too. When did you have the time to do that? love this.
You have to say no. No, no, no. Thank you. Really thank you. I really thank you. Okay, go down now. So, I'm about to show the finished treehouse to Gwen and Alan. Okay. I'm going to get you set up. Don't look. They wanted an English cottage and they have not seen it since it was just a platform. Okay, I'm going to set you up right Okay. I'm going to do the one, two, three now. Okay. Okay, on three. One, two, three. Oh my gosh. It was overwhelming. I was just really taken aback. It was wow.
Isn't that just something up there? It's adorable. I mean, am I allowed to say that because I'm shocked and pleased and proud. I want to take you up and I'll show you the inside. Okay, come on. Up you go now. Gwen, look at this. There's a little dove coat. Oh my god. It is so cool. I love Gwen's reaction to the dove coat cuz it was so different to see the response like that. Perfect. Are you ready for this? Go ahead, do it. Go ahead. [screaming] Oh my gosh. It's so beautiful. I was just awash with emotion because it was more beautiful than I could even imagine.

We'll take you up Oh my god. there in a bit, but I just want you to sort of have a look, see what It was just so cozy and comfortable, but you can actually see out the windows as you first come in. Man, oh man, did Tori ever hit it out of the park? What do they say in cricket? Do they have home runs in cricket? Do you want to climb up and see Anna's place? Oh my gosh. Behold, there was a little loft for Anna. Can you imagine her with her friends up there? Oh yeah, and a little cubby hole that she can look out.
Isn't that fun? What kid wouldn't love something like that? Here's your big beautiful deck. Come see this. Oh, wow. A little place to hang out. Look at the tree growing right through the deck. This is the red oak. Quercus rubra. Nice deck. Yep, it was a really nice awesome deck. I just have to show you this bathroom. It's too cool. Oh my god, this is darling. That was the cutest little outhouse I have ever seen.
Yeah, I said I could live in there. And you might. Hey, no commentary from the background. you mean you're going to live in here? He doesn't need to live in there, does he? This is your little sun deck over here with your little sun chairs. Yeah, look at the French doors. I haven't tried this type of system yet. I like this. Look at that. Oh, man, I could just sit here all day just gaze at the farm. The deck makes it so great to be able to see a beautiful view of our farm.
It's an amazing dream to have the treehouse because we can't really leave the farm when we are milking the goats twice a day. It was a dream, and now it's actually here. You nailed this. Oh my goodness. Isn't it great? Gwen and Allen created this farm, and Allen recognized this dream of creating a sort of staycation treehouse. And to see him beaming the way he was, it's awesome. Come on up, guys. Hey, guys. Anna, is that Pete? Yes. There's a little Pete. Hey, what's the weight load of this house? Pete Nelson was finally broken of his no goat policy in the treehouse.
Might be. Oh, look, he's going to go for a kiss. I think it was just so special that little Pete was born while they were here. I think little Pete is a part of the treehouse now. Yeah, maybe we should have a little goat bed for him. Just come right in and then eyes down. I'm looking down. Okay, let's say right about here. Now, now hold everything. This is a special treehouse. We've got a huge Douglas fir. We've got a ski lodge. I've never done a treehouse ski house before. I hope they love it. Jamie, are you excited about this? Yeah, I'm super excited.
The anticipation is incredible. We're very excited. It was so hard to sleep last night. Would you two like to do the countdown like you did Don't And then on three, we look up? Yes. Okay, you start the countdown whenever you want. One, two, three. Oh my god. YEAH, IT'S HUGE. THAT LOOKS GORGEOUS. When I first looked up, I couldn't believe how high it was in the sky. I was awestruck. Holy cow, huh? There's a house in that big tree, which was amazing. Should we go up? Should we go and see?
We got to see. Let's go see, guys. Follow me. Ah, look at this. Look at the red. Oh, wow. Look at this, guys. The outhouse. Let's see if it meets your specifications. There's a window. I love the pit stop, so to speak, on the first landing. Oh, and look, four stars representing the four Walters. I love the moon and the stars that they carved in there representing our family. That really that was special. Are you ready for this?
Ready for this? Go ahead. Look at the door. Look at this. That is beautiful. When I first saw what was inside, it was just perfect. This is Crystal Mountain, it's the great mountains. I felt like this was a second home instantly. It felt custom, it felt personal, and cozy all at the same time. You have a little wine bar back here. Oh! Look at that. How are you doing? Yes. Cuckoo clock, look you guys. A cuckoo clock.
[screaming] Now, here's your indoor outdoor fireplace. What do you think, James? Now we're talking. That is complete see-through. Fire on the inside and fire on the outside. was awesome. Sofa's off to the right and TV off to the left and fireplace in front of you, which just really brought the whole thing together. Okay, are you ready to go see the loft? You are going to like this, I'm certain. Yay! My bunk bed. I get the bottom. I get the top. The kids love the loft. They love the beds and then the game table was just amazing. They love checkers, they love to play and so that was a perfect little spot for them to have their
own space. Check out the view. Oh my goodness. See it all the way through those windows? Wow. Now, this is the extra special secret hiding spot. If you take this ski to the right and go then you can do this. Huh? Please. This is your lair. Huh? Look at that bed. Is that neat? I am so proud of my guys cuz this might be one of the most luxurious tree houses we've ever built. And seeing the Walter family smiles feels better than winning gold for Olympic ski jumping. You want to go see the deck? Are you ready for the next little This is too fun out here. Ah, ski chairs. This is neat.
Yes, isn't that something else right here? Look at this. Oh my goodness. What a cozy place. I love this. How cool is that, huh? And look, this is your timber frame up here. Oh, wow. After a long day of skiing, you come here? Yep. And have a perfect time. To see our dreams realized, come to life. It binds us together and it bonds us. It's, you know, really starting a legacy. You ready for this? Because it's time to show it off. Can't wait. Yeah, we've got a beautiful treehouse that we're ready to give to the new owners, Monica and Mike, friends of mine. So, this makes it extra special.

It really blends in really well. the railing. I was amazed with the rough-cut cedar shingles. He did an amazing job to incorporate the natural environment. It was awesome. Oh my god, is that good? It's so great. Yeah. But, let's go underneath cuz I have to show you under here. Look at the ladder. This ladder came from Treehouse Point, and so it's recycled as well. Okay, you first. Okay. Go ahead. Okay. Oh my god. Look at this.
Oh my god, amazing. Don't go in yet. Don't go in. Oh. Oh, we got a table and chairs out here. Look at this. Deck to the treehouse is very impressive with the rough-cut cedar boards, nice spacing. The railing is spectacular. It just I can't wait to sit out there and eat dinner. Yeah. I'm going to let you go in first. Okay. Whenever you're ready. Okay. Okay, go for it. Go [snorts] ahead. Oh. Holy cow. Oh my god. Look at this. This is like a showroom. Oh. This just takes my breath away. It's picture-perfect. exactly.
Yeah, it's gorgeous. It looks like a page out of a magazine and I can't believe it's ours. I know, it's unreal. blows my mind. Here's your map, a little map table, a big map table. Yeah. Look at that metal on there. Oh my gosh. That's so cool. Here's your little kitchenette. Okay. Let's go. Wow, this is really pretty. Wow, look at this room. Here's all the old climbing gear. Yeah, that saw actually bought those. A trench saw they call it from World War II.
Oh, wow. This is my favorite thing probably of the whole tree house. The window is as soon as you walk in, it just takes your eyes right to it. And this was in this old barn. It was just there. I can't believe it could shape it's in. I know, and the glass wasn't even broken. I mean, it was all intact. Really excited that he used a lot of materials that he had in the barn and the windows and everything he talked about. It was a nice touch. This is so pretty. And look at you, you've got paddles up here just to remind you of all your adventures. It's so great.
I was really pleased to see that Tori had taken a lot of our personal antiques and family heirlooms and included them. It just makes it more ours. That's a really lovely touch. The last thing I've got to show you is up here. The girls are going to dig this. This is like the loft space. So, go ahead up and see what you think. This is kind of a cozy spot. Oh, very nice. This is really cozy. I love this blanket. This is very nice. We love that Pete included a loft for my daughters Naomi and Shannon.
Pete, this is a beautiful They're going to love being able to have their own space up there and call it theirs. I think it's time to get my girls. Here they are. Come on down. Come on [snorts] Are they going to hear you? Yeah, oh yeah. GIRLS! LOOK AT THAT. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Oh my gosh! Huh? The tree house, it takes your breath away. It looks like a work of art. Oh my gosh! I can see the tree house being utilized for planning for our next big adventure. It's amazing. Dad, this is awesome!
