well a good morning a good afternoon and a good evening welcome to a very original video that has never been done before I love these videos the wires do and where they get like celebrities and stuff to answer the web's most searched questions answer the work yes all right nailed it well so I thought as a traveler with many miles air miles and passable stamps to their name I thought I would answer the web's most searched travel questions for you was gonna put the title of travel expert answers but I mean just to give you a laugh really maybe I will just you know you can see you know the regulars here but hilarious Ali all right so we've got incognito so we don't mess up with what I've searched for before and we are
gonna start it up I'd have to do it here because I can't do it anywhere else after and then I'll come back don't worry right let's start with how to travel the world you start with one country at a time you start with one city at a time it can feel really daunting especially people who want to travel haven't travelled much yet to see everything in all these places they want to go narrow it down see what your budget will allow and just go slowly travel slow no one's ever gonna see it all and that's not the point either it's not the point to see it all yeah that's travel the world one step at a time how to travel cheap now as you know I have almost 700 videos on this channel dedicated to budget traveling whether
I'm in a specific destination or I'm just giving you generalized advice there is always ways that you can cut down on what you're spending from accommodation to food to flights I have a whole playlist and on my channel about budgeting and finding cheap flights finding cheap accommodation some of them are really old video so go and have a laugh at those but hopefully they'll still stand up hacks travel for free this is actually one of my most popular videos on my channel how to travel for free so stop can everyone just calm down a second there's no set ways it was look like baby that video not gonna lie and there's no real way to travel 100% for free there's a lot of things you can do and that's what that video point was and
people still enjoyed the video of things you can do like house-sitting so that way you don't have to pay for accommodation you can do work aways and when you go to Australia my working hard day for example you can get jobs that they will give you a wage give you your boarding give you your food and that's a little way to make money and you can do work ways I've never done one where they just do an exchange of accommodation food for work so there's lots of things out there for you to bring your money down as low as possible but really it's all about scrimping and saving as much as you can and then just being really frugal if you really don't have a massive budget then couchsurfing
hitchhiking only if it's legal to do in the country you're going to and safe and have done hitchhiking I've done couchsurfing and they are brilliant ways and you can get around the world if you really want to come very little money but you will need a little bit ya gonna need a bit okay how to travel in London I always suggest for people going around London and obviously the tube don't be scared of it alright into the New York subway you can do the London Tube it is so easy you can just tap if you have contactless card or get an oyster card and you can use that on the buses as well a lot of the London buses I don't take them that often when I go down and you usually use the underground a lot of
them will tell you what stop is coming up and just use Google Maps and the public transport setting when you click directions and you'll be able to follow the route of that bus while you're on it so it's great especially in a new country especially somewhere like London it's all a bit hectic and you don't know where you are and buses are the worst for it she don't know what to get off there if you just type in from your location to Westminster Abbey I don't know I says get on bus number 4 I'm making all this up I'm not from London and then just click directions you click the public transport would be like okay the next number for buses in three minutes you click on that and you'll show you
big red roots that bus will take so when you go on it you can follow your GPS around the map and you'll tell you what stuff to get off on as well so there you go walking is great but London is massive so a subway the underground buses it wasn't how to travel alone now obviously it's travel alone just going up you don't take anyone that is the simple answer but I think it goes a little bit deeper and again I have so many videos I've done in the past about solo traveling because I did it for so long and I do it a lot more now as well especially Scott running his business here that doesn't get to travel with me a lot it's either I go on my own all right don't go at all and it's always
nice I'll always love that solo travel vibe and I also love traveling with him I'm not answering the question how to travel alone it's just some confidence just a little bit of courage and it's gonna feel really scary and you're gonna be anxious you're gonna be nervous you're gonna be all the things you're gonna be scared but I swear when you get there it's sad ease enough of here like it releases like a weight and my biggest piece of advice is if you're really nervous like you really want to try international solo travel but you're really nervous my biggest tip is booked a trip somewhere within your own country so say you're from Birmingham it's like me book a trip to London on your own for the weekend yeah
the Train alone look into the hotel alone enjoy your own company for a couple of days over a weekend in London or picks on my cheaper you know got to Newcastle you go to Liverpool lipples Great Manchester fapsi go somewhere because you're gonna speak the same language you're gonna know the currency you're gonna know the ins and outs you're gonna feel automatically more comfortable in your own country because you know how things work if that makes sense I really recommend unless you get to a small more of your own country which we can all do more of I believe and so 100 percent go and explore your own country Hagstrom on Boxing Day I didn't realize that this was a problem is it a problem hello Inc I mean I just laze around in
my sweatpants and a jumper on oh sorry that's every day I got dressed for this video I get dressed for these videos we have no idea what's below its yoga pants and slippers so I'm not sure how to travel with a dog I don't have a dog and so I don't know how to trial Thailand now look back in my realm again Thailand is amazing I lived there I lived both in Bangkok and Chiang Mai and we love that country and it's one of the good entry level to Asia you know I mean that's what a lot of people go because the infrastructure for tourism is so good a lot of first-time travelers who want to like branch out further or head into Southeast Asia they'll go to Thailand and I fully agree it's great lots of sea
people speak English you're gonna get around no problem there'll be a lot of the tourists and so you can feel you know a comfortable introduction to Asia any tips I could give in regards to Thailand would be don't just go where one else goes you know you got like james bond island ppi knew I've never been to them and I spent so long in Thailand and don't feel like you have to go to certain places because there are so many they're just gonna be throwing a full moon party you've got to do that I named it for moon party I had no interest in doing a full moon party that's not my jam I prefer a little pub in the back streets of Chiang Mai where you know the owner and who sees you
walking out straight he's already got your dress ready oh Anthony I miss you I miss you Anthony and that's my kind of vibe so don't feel like you have to do all these things you know take time like with every country explorer up north as much as you can if you like more trekking and mountains and jungle live and obviously head down south but take your time and Thailand don't feel like you need to do everything everyone else is doing well I know of course a massive playlist of when I lived in Thailand service videos galore how to travel no mate that's the same it's kind of like headshot free so again skip right and how to travel around thailand now that's a better question trains get train the train is so good domestic
flights are plentiful and very cheap but I always recommend the overnight sleeper train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai or vice versa you can fly up and train it down and train both you know choose you whatever you want but the time they say they're gonna get into Chiang Mai and so I think I only done it that way you have done it twice that way I think yeah I'd like three hours it just don't add up times in Thailand hilarious don't bother okay so that was very good no what else can we do why travel is important or we're gonna get really this is gonna be a very long video travel will teach you more than anything you could have learned to school and when I say that I'm not talking if you love biology you
know in all medicine or psychology or geography or engineering I'm talking about the life lessons that's gonna teach you're gonna learn so much just by observing just by being in a place and opening your eyes which is why I'm a big believer in the whole people watching moments I have why just sit with a coffee always sat outside and I just watch that alone in that moment when you're observing locals going about their day-to-day business you might not feel like you're learning anything but it's funny because when you have conversations or a documentary comes up or there's a film filmed somewhere you've been you'll suddenly have all this insight well that's not very realistic like I've actually sat in on that street I was having a beer and I
was chatting with a local and he was telling me all about that you know you certainly know oh my god I've learned so much it's not like learning from a book or from a course you're actually learning by observing by being there by talking to people even just talking to your Airbnb host that's a lot you will gain so much knowledge and your horizons just immediately broaden and so that is why travel is important I think what did I even say to that question why travel is good for you but everything I just said but it also gives you just there's nothing like exploring new places whether you come out loving or hating them it's just like you've experienced it and you get to see the most incredible things that so many
people may never see in their entire lives and you get to share a moment whether you're alone with friends with a partner and a group at all whatever you Jam is you get to have that moment stood on the top of a mountain going on the underground the subway in New York on your own with so many other people rammed around you know you get to be just there and present and that is incredible that is the most beautiful part of it why travel is good for your mental health interesting question now this is mobile what you not come up with an answer for this water don't have to be exact no I have been very tempted to film a video entitled travel does not make you happy I'm sorry that's the reality
because you know my favorite quote wherever you go there you are or whatever the quote is you take your problems with you after someone who lived as a nomad for like five and a half years trust me your mental health problems come with you if you want this video like a real talk you know glass of wine real talk where we sit over in the corner and get cozy and I just rant please let me know because I've been wondering whether to do this it's good for your mental health to travel it's fantastic in a sense that it can take you I and give you that little bit of relief if your stressors or anything coming from your day to day grind then it can give you a moment to process that but you can't escape because you're gonna go straight back to
it why a lot of us you know we go travelling for years not like I was genuinely running away from anything but just as an example but I'm just going to stop traveling you might not think about it we thought it was so beautiful asking some whether it's a temporary fix so whilst it can give you this like so much happiness in the moment and it does and you'll have so many beautiful memories and excitement and just wonderful things happening when you travel when it comes to down to the real philosophical does it make you happy I know that's not what this question is no because happiness let's get real deep happiness comes from within you and nowhere else it can only come from within washed or external
factors will play a part and that's why you need to be mindful and that's why traveling getting away especially only Rome and you sit there with book on beach or you can go for a nice long hike up a mountain and process and have space to breathe and that can be so therapeutic it's unbelievable you've still got work out those issues and problems you can't just run away from them so it is great for your mental health and give you clarity it can be a big distraction don't apply a negative spin on this I'll see my job is promoting me you all travel but when you get down to the nitty-gritty of it you can't just run away from your problems and happiness comes from in here not necessarily what's around you so I hope
that makes sense I hope that makes sense I know your environment has a massive part to play and I hope you know where I'm getting with that and if you'd like me to actually sit down into a proper real talk you gotta let me know why travel is beneficial to education well I think we've already covered this very well it does educate you and you learn so much like we already discussed why travel is good we have talked about that why travel is overrated interesting report inappropriate predictions this one I think it's still in the day and age we live in with social media and everyone being a travel blogger now that made me sound really bitter it wasn't I love it I love everyone can share their
troubles a little why I sounded someone I think it's still the most underrated thing because it's still not enough people for I liking are doing it's no grated at all I could not disagree more I will report inappropriate prediction why shot so important we've done that watch hummus good for your health we talked about mental health I mean Travel could be terrible for your health I've got dengue fever and I ended up in hospital you know so with a great big apple why travel is important for youth yes now I'm actually going been booked up to do a lot of speaking gigs around the UK talking to students and I wish I could get there younger if you work in the school and you want to
come in and talk about travel the importance of travel how they start thinking about traveling and making their reality for them please let me know because I'm getting booked up this year and it's so exciting and I want to do so many more speaking it's anyway request and plug over it's so important for young people because I'm so glad that I got to travel so young because it just immediately opened my eyes to so much there's a lot of intolerance in the world and hate and racism and homophobia sex and just all these horrible things and if young people can just be exposed to the world and see the people of good people are good from all over the world I've met the most wonderful people from all religions all like all backgrounds
like that people are good and I think that alone meeting people going out to new places seeing how different people live day to day but then also connecting young people with those people in those places and we'll all realize we're not all that different because we're not we're all just good people we feel the same emotions a smile is universal having that such a young age just wah blows your mind and keeps it open because travel makes you thirsty for knowledge because you want to learn more you want to know more it's quite addictive actually see ya young people should be coached travel way more one more I want to do this solo travel fun it's a ball it's a blast it is so much fun but also it can be lonely and I have done videos on that
and that's okay it gotta learn to be alone in life sometimes even if it's quickly it's solo travel safe it can be extremely safe but you've just got to be aware take all the precautions that you need don't do something abroad that you wouldn't do at home and just keep a level head just be smart be street smart if you're not gonna be travels gonna teach you how to be you know when you get your ID phone stolen because you've been leaving it on you know your bunk bed in your hostel it's a bit of a dodgy area you gonna learn real quick just passing up here you know and research the country you're going to its solo travel worth it 100% it's solo travel weird I want to report that inappropriate prediction it's so no
travel weird no in my feel weird it might feel like the most bizarre thing you could ever do simply because I've gotta eat alone if I want to have an alcoholic drink like I fancy a beer then we serve us it in a bar alone girl I have met that is how I meet locals I how I talk to locals it's not weird no one it's look at you and a tip I always used to give if you're nervous about the whole eating alone and drinking alone take sink to distract you that you're not gonna have to you know if you really are nervous about that take I suppose cards and right at them get a little table in the corner you can just keep yourself to yourself you know don't eat your own pace I'll take your journal if your
journaling or something like that or you've got your phone maybe you know if you work do that or just send some messages on some first to some friends and family just have seconds a little bit of a buffer or a book I try not to do phone so often because I can really not have you in the real world but a book you can almost hide behind it being still taking things you ain't put a book down and taking the surroundings those things you're just gonna have to get over honestly that's real talk you're gonna have to get over them and the only it's by doing them once more it's so no travel boring no Custis I mean you can go to sound cities and you've been there maybe a couple of days too long because
you expected more to do and you get a bit bored but I don't know really get alright I guess it's not as much to do in the city as I could but I always find a way to entertain myself always you're in a new place there is always some way you could be exploring so no it's not boring oh my god it rhymed get it on a t-shirt let's get some merch going alright so I'm going to leave that there and if you'd like me to do a dedicated video on any of the topics because this is just like real rapid-fire Q&A thing going out then let me know a lot of you run that real talk on why happiness doesn't come from traveling a travel doesn't make you truly happy then let me know that as well a very controversial
card wit and I will love you and leave you I really hope you enjoyed this video and like subscribe comment share all the things Belle whatever cameras gonna die gonna love gonna leave I'll see you in the next one alright bye
