For a record six years now, Squarespace has been helping me turn my dream into reality. And that's what Squarespace does for millions of other people, too. Their industryleading website creation tools help millions of people start new careers, build new businesses, or just get things done. They're offering a special discount to viewers of this channel. So, stick around to the end of the video to learn more. Gamers, happy Summer Games Fest week. Right now, I'm in sunny LA hunkered down in my hotel room getting ready for four straight days of showcases, hands-on sessions, drunken late nights, and hung over

podcast recordings. By my last count, I'm going hands- on with over 20 games over the next 4 days. And while I can't say which games I'll be playing, I can tell you that you're going to like at least a few of them, at least a little bit. But my guess is you'll like a lot of them a lot. So, you know what to expect from me this week. You'll notice that this show is going live a touch earlier than usual. As we wanted to cover the Sony showcase before I got on the longass plane ride over here. As for the two other showcases, Summer Games Fest Live and the Xbox Showcase. I'll be covering those next week when I'm back on Aussie soil for the simple reason that I'm booked up from basically the

minute I land until the minute I take off. So I won't have any time to script a video. So do expect that news to come in the same way that we serve up most of our news late but not on our website this weekend videoames.com. Right there you can expect up totheminute breaking news and that's one of the main reasons we built that site. So if you like your summer games news piping hot and fresh then head over to this weekame.com and sign up either for free or as a paying supporter to get tons of exclusive content. Okay, enough preamble. We've got a big week of showcases to cover. So let's get started. Team blue, show us what you got.

Well, Sony promised an extended look at the combat and Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game, and that's exactly what we got. They kicked off the show with around 7 minutes of raw gameplay, showcasing combat that looks fast and brutal as hell. It was so bloody in fact that I've got to avoid showing too much of it, otherwise this video will get demonetized. Also, did you notice how quickly that blood disappears from his body after he starts moving again? Feels like it could hang around just a touch longer. But yeah, overall looking very solid. Especially love the sheer variety of animations here, showcasing all the ways Logan can slice and dice henchmen.

Having said that, it does look very Spider-Man in the sense that the overall combat rhythm and enemy behavior feels very similar to Insomniac's iconic superhero trilogy. I'm hoping they have a few more surprises in store with regards to how this plays and all the carnage that Logan can dish out. It was also revealed that Logan's two biggest crushes, Gan Gray and Saber-Tooth, would be in the game. Couldn't really have a Wolverine game without them, so that's great. Personally, I was more interested in the Omega Red teaser that briefly flashed up, as well as those marching Sentinels. This is clearly pulling from a wide base of Wolverine and X-Men lore, and I'm very into it. So, that's

Wolverine. A very strong opening salvo from Sony, and luckily, one that we won't have to wait too much longer for since it is releasing on September 15th exclusively on the PS5. The first of many, many games in this showcase releasing in September to avoid GTA 6. After that was the return of a beloved IP. Roll the trailer. Your heroics will no doubt be the stuff of tales twice told throughout the glade of dreams. Yes, Ubisoft's worstkept secret has officially been revealed. This is Rayman Legends Untold. The rumored remake of the co-op platformer from way back in 2013, Rayman Legends. It's been rebuilt in the Snowdrop engine, so the visual

uplift here is really nice. It also features whole new levels and modes, fully voice acted cutscenes, and up to four player co-op, which comes at great time since we haven't had many local co-op games lately, aside from the Lego Batman game. This one is arriving October 1st. Would have preferred a new Rayman game to be honest, but hey, this will do in a pinch. Speaking of co-op, we finally got a gameplay reveal for the debut title from Akumi Nakamura Studio. It's called Kimuri. Check it out. Jingle. Now, to be honest, as I was watching this, I was scared that this was another gacha game, and I was kind of disappointed cuz I was like, damn, this looks sick as hell. Shame I'll never

play it. But when I saw Nakamura pop up, I was like, "Oh my god, it's an actual honest to goodness video game. Christmas is saved. It's you and two other friends hunting Yo-kai and gaining their abilities to help you hunt other stronger Yo-kai. It's got flashy action combat, and fluid traversal across a dense city with tons of verticality. We've all been keeping a very close eye on this thing ever since its reveal back in 2023, and it looks like we won't have to wait too much longer for it since it is slated for release sometime this year. Also, Nakamura, we never forgot you. Don't worry. Next up, it was time for a look at Amazon's new Tomb Raider game, Show them, Stew.

This isn't about glory or money or making the world a better place. This is a puzzle buried in centuries of silence. This is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Not much to say about this one, to be honest. It's definitely Tomb Raider sporting some dual pistol action, dinosaurs, spelunking puzzles, and impressive visuals to boot. Looks like it's shaping up rather nicely, but we do have a little wait before we can play it for ourselves as it's been given a release date of February 12th, 2027, which is actually a delay since it was earlier targeting a 2026 release. That's not the only game with dinosaurs.

Following Tomb Raider was a reveal of The Lost Wild, a dinosaur field firstperson survival horror game. If it looks familiar, that's probably because there was a game teased a little while ago called Jurassic Park Survival from Saber Interactive that looked just like this. But yeah, this is not the same game, just kind of the same idea, which I'm all about to be honest, because the more of these types of games that exist, the more likely Capcom is to eventually go [__] it and remake Dino Crisis. The Lost Wild is also out next year. No exact release date just yet. June Awakening is getting a new single player mode coinciding with a PlayStation 5 release on September 22nd. Also coming

to the PS5 is the excellent ARPG, No Rest for the Wicked from the AI developers. After over two years in early access, it's finally hitting 1.0 release in October of this year. And at such time, it'll be released on PS5 and PC with other platforms to follow later. Definitely worth keeping your eye on this one. I played the early access of it back when it first launched and it was already excellent. Moon Studios have really got something special here. Then we got another look at Oni Musha Way of the Sword. I feel like this has appeared at almost every showcase since its reveal. But now it's finally got a release date, September 25th this year. If you want to get your hands on it

right now though, you're in luck because they also announced a free demo that's available right now. Enjoy. Horror game fans were treated to a look at the next Silent Hill entry with this one being in first person. Here's a peak. A real focus on stealth here it seems. Hiding in closets and throwing rocks to lure away enemies. Super keen with this one as modern Silent Hill games have been generally very good. And this one's not too far off either as it's releasing just a day before onimusha on September 24th this year. Rip my sleep schedule in September. It's It's going to be bad. Next up was Ace Combat 8 with a better look at its story, which seems packed with hype and melodrama, and we wouldn't

have it any other way. The team also teased a pre-order for a port of 2006's Ace Combat Zero: The Belcon War. Not a bad pre-order bonus. Anyway, I love me some Ace Combat, so very much looking forward to this one as well. It's set for release October 2nd of this year. Hey, did you know the Space Marine guys are working on a racing game? It's true. It's called Stuntman Hollywood from Saber Interactive, which yeah, has you playing as a stunt man, pulling off all sorts of crazy vehicular maneuvers. It even features a Back to the Future Delorean, which does earn some brownie points for me at least. Great to see this franchise back in the mix after all these years. Love the direction for it.

No release date just yet for that one. Then we got to look at Ill, the first person horror title being published by Munfish, the team behind Atomic Heart. This one's looking just as gory as the last time we saw it. In fact, even more so, and it looks actually pretty damn good. It's out sometime in 2027. Please look forward to it. Control Resident got a release date with the trailer teasing a little more of its world and story. This one comes out the same day as Silent Hill on September 24th of this year, which is also a day before on Musha. really feels like these studios are going to have to shift these dates

around a little because this is getting silly. This is followed by the announcement that Runescape Dragons, the survival game set in the world of the classic MMO, is coming to PS5 in fall of 2026 and it arrives PS+ day 1. Then we got the announcement of a very unexpected sequel. Take a look. This is Until Dawn 2. At the first game, it's an interactive narrative horror thriller. This time set on an island with a bunch of ghost hunting influencers who find out that they've got a little more than they bargain for. He stars Neil Newborn as one of the main characters. Notably, this isn't being developed by the original Until Dawn developer Super Massive Games. Instead, coming from Fire Sprite, a co-development studio that's worked on the Horizon Call of the Mountain VR

game. Do wonder if they'll be able to pull it off to be honest, but I guess we'll find out when it releases sometime next year. Finally, it was time for that one more thing, and I got to tell you, it's a good one. Roll it, stew. I feel like Sony were doing a bit of a cheeky bait and switch with the Wolverine thing being the headliner for this show because yeah, to close things out, Sony both revealed and showed off roughly 20 minutes of gameplay of the next God of War game. This is God of War La where you play as Fay, wife of the ghost of Sparta himself and mother to Atreus who's trying to find her way back to her family through the afterlife, specifically the afterlife of the gods.

And by that I mean all the gods because yeah, it looks like some gods from other mythologies are stirring up trouble here. And we'll have to team up with this talking sword and this jelly cube thing to drive them back. The jelly cube is voiced and even mocap by Jack Quaid, best known for his work on Red Letter Media, but he's also appeared in other smaller, less notable productions including The Boys and Oppenheimer. On that note, Deborah Anne Wolf is reprising her role as Fay, and she's already shown off some pretty killer acting chops here. I think she'll make for a really fantastic lead. As expected from this studio, the facial capture and overall visuals look top class, as does the combat. It does look to play quite

similar to the prior games, but Fay is somewhat lighter on her feet and also magically inclined. Fay is also able to leap high into the air to dodge attacks or juggle enemies like a DMC character. Honestly, I think this just looks fantastic. This is like a God of War fever dream. Sadly though, it looks like we will be waiting a little while for it as there's currently no release window listed at all between this and the God of War trilogy remake. Sony Santa Monica surely have their work cut out for them, but I'm sure they're cooking up one hell of a feast for us. So, overall, a very strong showcase from Sony. I think some surprising reveals, release dates for

games that we were already looking forward to. And in particular, I really liked how this showcase was like 90% actual gameplay rather than pure cinematics or mere title drops typified by that final God of War LE reveal. Also, September is like ridiculously stacked now. I saw Jason Shri tweet out that you'd almost be more afraid to release a game in September than next to GTA 6 at this point, and he's not wrong. Before, we only had the likes of Blood of the Dawn Walker and Dawn of War 4 releasing that month. But now add to that Wolverine, Onimusha, Silent Hill, and Control Resident, and then Ace, Combat 8, and Rayman at the start of October. Man, it's going to be a hell of

a time for games. One like equals one prayer as I try to find the time to cover them all. If you looked at the chat during the Sony state of play, you would have seen it spanned with people demanding that Sony give us Destiny 3. Because yeah, even though Sony had plenty of games coming, Destiny 2 is on the way out. But not if the games community has anything to say about it. I know you might be tired of hearing about Destiny at this point, especially given how long I banged on about it last week, but I think what's going on over the last week is worth talking about.

The news that Destiny 2 would be getting a final update on June 9th has kickstarted a defiant movement within the community, spurring players, content creators, and even the game's very own voice actors and developers to loudly voice their support for the continued existence of the game. Perhaps leading the charge in the hope of the future is Destiny's principal comm's manager, DMG04. He's always been great at keeping a really open dialogue with the community, and after reposting a final thank you note at the bottom of the maintenance mode announcement, he's been highlighting all of the huge updates coming to the game on June 9th that might have slipped by. This includes a

metric ton of returning loot, game mode adjustments, catalyst for all exotic weapons, buildcraft changes, and so much more. Emphasizing the fact that this is one of, if not the biggest non-expansion updates the game has ever received. Hopium levels reached critical on June 1st when he tweeted out, quote, "Guardians make their own fate." End quote. Followed by quote, "Do not go gentle into that good night." End quote. He later claimed he was just watching Interstellar again, but no one is buying that, my dude. You know what you did, and we love it. Throughout the week, we'd also seen the game's many voice actors posting videos about how much the

game meant to them, including the voices of renowned characters such as Erysmore, the Drifter, Loi, Ory, and Sabathun. I think this one from Loi's actor Brian Villaos was my favorite. Here's a little snippet. Destiny does not become destiny until you share it and play it with other people. until you make connections with it, until you create community around it, until you create art based on it, until you create new lore and head cannons and all of the incredible uh spectrum of beauty and inspiration and love and just humanity that has come out of this game. Then of course, there's a support spearheaded by players and creators who are rallying around that June 9th release with Guardians of the World over

planning to log in all at once in an effort to show Sony that Destiny is worth fighting for. There's also been another side to this, that being a sort of civil war within the Bungie community as a lot of hostility is being directed towards Marathon. It's gotten so bad that some content creators are threatening to settle their disputes by way of a sanctioned UFC fight. And no, I am absolutely not making that up. This is in addition to people declaring that they'll boycott Marathon as well as a round of interyine review bombing that's affected both Marathon and Destiny 2. And look, I'll be real with you guys, I don't love this. I get the passion and the desire to do everything in your

power to fight, but I think framing the situation as Marathon versus Destiny isn't going to achieve the desired results. And no matter the outcome, it's going to leave a nasty hangover whereby Bungie's community is divided by the memory of a destructive feud. I'm not saying everyone has to support Marathon if they don't want to since it's perfectly fine to not enjoy a game. And I'm also not saying we can't be critical of Marathon since like Destiny, it's far from perfect. I'm just saying we don't need to position this as a battle between these two games. The real battle is us against Sony's short-sighted leadership who've created this zero sum game where the better solution is to redistribute the chip so that both

franchises can exist. They do, after all, target very different types of players. So, it's in Sony's best interest to foster both of these games, maximizing their chances of pulling in a broader cross-section of people who want different things, but are united in their love of Bungee shooters. Anyway, TLDDR, see you on June 9th. It's time to make our own fate, Guardians. Kicking off the lightning round with even more Sony news. Destruction Allstars, one of the earliest PS5 exclusives to release on the console, is officially dunzo. The game has been delisted from the PlayStation store and its multiplayer servers will fully shut down on the 25th of November this year. Sony warns in an

email, quote, "After this date, arcade mode single player challenges shall remain playable for returning players. However, functionality and player experience may be impacted due to the server shutdown. Otherwise, all remaining game services will be taken offline." and end quote. Little surprise here really. In fact, I'm actually impressed that the servers managed to stay up for as long as they did, Destruction Allstars remains one of the worst reviewed PlayStation exclusives of this console generation. And despite efforts to improve the game and add new game modes and content post launch, support for the game fizzled out towards the back end of 2022. Rest in peace, I guess. From team blue to team green,

Fable has been delayed again. Just days before their big showcase, Xbox tweeted out that Fable will now be releasing in February of 2027. Do not know that this is the second time this game has been delayed since it reveal back in 2020 where it was slated for release in 2025 only to be pushed back to 2026 and now that's happened again. This delay doesn't seem to be indicative of development troubles over at Playground. Though the tweet suggests that this was merely a timing thing, saying quote, "In order to plan our game launches through the holidays in a way that works best for players, we're moving Fable to February 2027 so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves." End

quote. And this sentiment was supported by Xbox's chief content officer, Matt Booty, who when speaking on the official Xbox podcast, says the company must quote, "be in a place where we've got a regular cadence of games, end quote, and that portfolio management moves like this help achieve that." And fair enough, I guess, as touched on in their tweet, there is a good lineup of games releasing on Xbox this year between Gears of War, Eay, the next Call of Duty title, Control Resonance, Star Wars, Galactic Racer, and of course, GTA 6. Even as someone who does this for a living, it's difficult to keep on top of all of it. So, I personally will be glad to have some space around this one. And

hey, if it means playground get a bit more time to polish things up, you won't hear me complaining. The stop killing games movement has made some serious headway, it seems, as the California State Assembly has now passed the Protect Our Games Act, which requires video games companies to quote, "Give players advance notice before shutting down server dependent games." End quote. As well as quote, "pvide a way to keep purchased games playable afterward, such as offline access, community servers, or another workable option." End quote. The bill passed in an overwhelming vote tallying 43 to6 with both Democratic and Republican support and will now move to the California State Senate for

deliberation. This is pretty awesome news. Stop Killing Games has been advocating for the preservation of live service games since mid 2024 following Ubisoft pulling the plug on the crew. And with all the similar shutdowns that have been going on across the industry, especially this past year, this win couldn't have come at a better time. Nice work, guys. Keep it up. Hey, here's a helpful public service announcement. Please do not click on any links that claim to give you GTA 6 beta access because this past week has apparently seen an influx of hackers using GTA 6 beta scams to infect users devices with malware. According to an investigation

published by NordVPN, one common scam was offering exclusive beta keys for console users in which they were asked to fill in a form and complete a fake verification step before subscribing to paid services or downloading potentially unwanted apps. Another involves a fake GTA 6 installer disguised as an Nvidia graphics driver file that plants malware into your device. NordVPN have also spotted clones of popular piracy and repack sites that claim to be sharing GTA 6 files for Windows users despite the fact that the game isn't even launching on PC, at least not at first. There have also been hundreds of fishing sites masquerading as Rockstar Social Club login pages and a fake GTA 6 beta

app for Android and contains nothing but ads pointing you to other unwanted subscription servers and malware downloads. TLDDR. There is no GTA 6 beta going on right now. So, do not click on anything you see claiming that there is. This almost goes without saying, I suppose, but you know, hackers and scammers are getting pretty sneaky these days, so it's worth staying extra vigilant. In other GTA, a major GTA 5 multiplayer mod service, RageMP, has announced it's officially shutting down. In a post made to their forums, they said that their public server listing will be shut down on June 1st, 2026, and support for the platform servers will fully end on the 31st of August, 2026.

Rage MP says this follows a request from Take2 Interactive who have quote made it clear that 5M is the only authorized platform for GTA 5 multiplayer modding as defined by their platform license agreement. End quote. For those unaware, 5M is the multiplayer server provider created by CFX, the modding team that was acquired by Rockstar back in August of 2023. And in January of this year, Rockstar launched the official CFX marketplace, which contains both free and paid mods for 5M and its Red Dead Redemption 2 counterpart, Redm. So, it's a little bit similar to what Bethesda have done with their creation club. But, yeah, multiplayer servers have been a huge part in GTA V's longevity,

especially within its role playinging communities. And it kind of sucks to see modding consolidated like this. At the time of writing, the live tracker on RageMP's website says it's currently hosting 285 online servers with over 45,000 players online. And now, those server owners have to migrate to a platform that's being actively monetized by Rockstar. I don't know, man. I guess it's their right to do it, but still, it is a huge bummer. So, what got announced or delayed this week? Well, aside from the state of play stuff, there were a few other tidbits that snuck in ahead of the summer games fest craziness. We already mentioned the more or less expected Witcher 3 expansion

last week called Songs of the Past, which we got a few more details about during CD Project Red's earning call. It's being co-developed by a Polish studio called Fool's Theory, who put out a CRPG called The Thornurge, and are also working with CD Project Red on a remake of The Witcher 1. City Project Red's CEO also said the size and scope of the expansion was similar to that of Blood and Wine, and that they are definitely not coming to last gen consoles for whatever reason. And they also currently don't have any plans to make expansions for the next Witcher trilogy because they've already signed up for three major games at this stage.

More details to come at Gamescom in August. Something that was also very much expected was the next Call of Duty title. This year it's Infinity War's turn to again bring Modern Warfare out for a fourth time with a big twist being that Price and Ghost are enemies now. I think it's set on the Korean Peninsula to depict a fictional conflict where North Korea invades the South. And the campaign will see you play both Bryce and a new protagonist, Private Park, play led by Young Mazino, who you might have seen in shows like Beef or The Last of Us. Wow. Video game TV actors doing actual video games. Crazy stuff. Anyway, they're also bringing back Modern Warfare 2's DMZ mode. No doubt because

around the launch of Black Ops 7 last year, they were like, "Well, damn. Everyone's playing Arc Raiders. Wait a second. We don't have an extraction mode." So, here it is. 23rd of October, 2026 for this one on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles. And Switch 2, which marks the first time COD has been on a Nintendo console since Ghosts was on the Wii U, a game in a console I'm sure many would rather forget, especially Nintendo. Over to Square Enix now, who revealed two new Dragon Quest games during a 40th anniversary stream for the series. Well, technically, one was a re-reveal for Dragon Quest 12, which was first announced back in 2021 at the series's 35th anniversary stream. The

developer said in the past few years they hit a few roadblocks so they had to hit the reset button to start development from scratch again. Its new subtitle is Beyond Dreams and it's about the sleepiest RPG protagonist you ever saw in your life. No day for this one. The second Dragon Quest game was a new one in its Dragon Quest monsters spin-off series subtitled the withered world. The monster series is all about monster capturing and battling. And this will technically be like the 15th release in this branch if you can believe it. No date for this one either. One final announcement worth mentioning is that Factorio, the highly influential automation game that everyone keeps

telling me to play, but man, I sure as hell do not have enough hours for that. It's ending its active development 10 years following its early access release. They say they have one last major update to release after which they'll go into support mode. Thankfully, genre fans will have plenty of other options to choose from now if they want something fresh since Factorio certainly kicked off something pretty big. Okay, so what came out last week? Well, let's give some love to first person puzzle game Yerba Buena, which seems to have really flown under the radar. It's got a fair 70 on Open Critic with under 10 reviews and less than 40 reviews on Steam, though 94% of them are

positive. Here's Steam user Gem, who recommends it after 5 hours, saying, quote, "The first few chapters had me intrigued on how open it was and how many options there seemed to be to accomplish different tasks. Admittedly, I was actually rather disappointed through the middle of the game as it seemed to kind of degrade into test chamber style puzzles where there aren't many options to accomplish a goals, but the puzzles through this I found interesting regardless. Towards the end of the game, there were more options again, especially in the opening section of chapter 11, and I very much enjoyed this chapter. The game definitely has room for improvement, ranging from voice acting to some janky physics at times,

to sections that really needed just one more checkpoint. That all being said, the game is still very enjoyable. End quote. Another one that also seems to have flown under the radar, at least relatively speaking, and surprisingly so given the developers, is Crash Crew, the new one from Agro Crab, of course, part of the crew responsible for Peak. This one's sitting in the realm of very positive with about 500 reviews at the time of writing. Again, 94% positive. Ricky on Steam has this to say. Quote, "Agro Crab delivers on that good friend slop. You can tell the love and polish they put into their games to make them fun. All at a low, low price. Crash our crew is more akin to something like

Overcooked than Peak. You try to work with or around your friends to meet your delivery quotas in a sort of stage format. Pick it up." End quote. Steam user Bingji had this to say. Quote, "This game is out of chaos. It probably took 5 years off my life from stress. Me and my friends are frequently cursing each other's bloodlines after a simple mistake. What a masterpiece." end quote. Map, a game about maps, was one of our radar picks from a couple of weeks back. This is a ctography game that has you making treasure maps instead of deciphering them. This one is also in the very positive realm with just over

100 reviews counted. His team user Roven, who says, quote, "Even though I generally don't play a lot of cozy games, this is a real gem. If you love the treasure hunting from Sea of Thieves, but could live without the annoying griefers and wish for a bit more complexity in the puzzles, you definitely should give Mapmap a try." End quote. Steam user Matt Good had this to say, quote, "This is a really, really nice game. I'm doing new things and considering the environment in ways that I never thought about in a game before. I also really love the added little bonus of the secrets in most levels. They are a really good sweet spot of difficulty where they feel exciting to discover and very satisfying to figure

out. End quote. 868 Back was another one of our radar picss from a few weeks ago. The hardcore roglike hacking game. Not too many reviews for this one at the time of writing. It's sitting at a positive sentiment with around 70 reviews counted, though 100% of them are positive. But lo and behold, who's that with the most helpful Steam user review? Some guy called Bennett. Oh my gosh, it's actually Bennett FOD, the developer behind Baby Steps and Getting Over It. Here's his review after 23 hours with it. Quote, "Michael Bruff makes deceptively simpler looking games that

have an enormous amount of depth. I'm just a couple of hours into this new one, and it already seems much deeper, bigger, and more ambitious than the last one. You'll probably be a little stumped at first. Getting to know his games, going from totally lost to lost in thought is a huge part of what's enjoyable about them." Edit: 2 days later. Good lord, I am totally addicted to this game in the best way possible. End quote. All up, he now has 50 hours in this, which means he clocked an additional 25 hours in the 2 days since posting his initial review. Absolutely crazy. All right, so what's coming out this week? Not a whole lot to be honest

with you. It's another relatively quiet release week with no big brand headliners, meaning it's time for indies to shine and also Destiny 2 to get its last big harrah. We'll start though on Friday, June 5th, and it's the Gothic 1 remake, a Eurogen RPG favorite from the early 2000s, which has now got a very big facelift. And by the way, it was a major source of inspiration for The Witcher. according to CD Project Red themselves. Anyway, this one is headed to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles. Jumping over to next week, posts summer games fest. And the first cap off the rank is a game that was one of the wackiest trailers at Summer Games Fest in 2024, Killer Bean, which launches

into early access on Monday, June 8th. This one is an action rogike based on the seminal animated series by Jeff Lou, who's also developing this game solo, and he expects to be in early access for at least 2 years as he adds co-op and content. expect a stupid amount of action with lots of bullet time and over-the-top takedowns as well as quote frequent violence between coffee bean characters. End quote. Thanks team. Moving on now to Wednesday, June 10th. We've got a new open world survival crafting game called Witch Spire launching into early access. Heard a lot of good things about the early previews and demos for this one. It gives the

whole genre a twist by injecting a bit of magic and astral projection in there, helping you build and harvest resources more easily. And there's a whole creature collecting component as well, PC only for now. On June 10th is a game called Crushed in Time, which is a sequel to a very good point-and-click adventure game from a few years ago called There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension. That was a very meta comedy focused theme that comes highly recommended. It's overwhelmingly positive with over 25,000 reviews, and the less you know about it, the better. Crushed in Time takes two of the characters from that first game, a version of Holmes and Watson, and puts them in a new time traveling meta mystery where they go looking for one of

their fellow game characters. The hook here is that you interact with everything by pulling and snapping the very elastic world, which naturally lends itself to comedy. PC only for this one. And finally, moving on to Thursday, June 11th now and ending with the biggest indie release of the week, Star Seeker: Astronineir Expeditions, which is coming out into early access on absolutely everything. This one's being published by Deolver Digital, and of course, it's based on Astanineir, which I personally have never played, but it is surprisingly huge, but where Astanineir was a bit of a chill base building and automation kind of thing.

Star Sega focuses more on co-op exploration and completing objectives with your friends or randoms. So, something for when you want a bit more excitement in your friend slop sessions. Crossplatform and cross progression for this one, too. We saved one of the indies coming out this week for this next segment. This one caught our eye at Gamescom last year. So, put this on your radar. Here in Palapori, our heroes are only as strong as their last meal. And that's where I come in. I make the meals. I pair the flavors they love with the magic and abilities they need, powering up our caretakers for their ventures into the wilds.

This game is called Beastro, and as you can see, it's not only a turn-based deck building dungeon crawler. It's also a game where you essentially play a version of the mouscular chef from Monster Hunter. Beastro is a hybrid game that's part management RPG where you look after your restaurant, animals, and crops, and part cooking simulator where you're graded on completing mini games like frying and chopping. And depending on what you feed the adventurers who come to your restaurant, and how well you make the meal, the better their combat deck ends up being. The combat is also represented by these neat looking cardboard puppet shows, which to be honest was the real hook that got us

looking even more deeply at this one. And of course, the better you do out in the wild, the better chance you are of returning with better ingredients to cook with. It's an interesting mix of cozy game genres with combat bringing a bit of bite to all of it, no pun intended. So, if you do like the look of this one, we've left a link to it over on our Steam curator page, which also has links to all of the other put this on your radar stuff we recently covered. I'll leave a link to all of that below the like button. Our feel good story of the week is one featuring the type of person that doesn't usually feature in this segment, a gaming CEO. Recently, WWE 2K26 got an update that included a

number of new wrestlers added to the roster. The additions are always announced publicly, but there was one new challenger who they forgot to add to the patch notes. See if you can recognize who it is. And his opponent from Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 165 lbs, Strauss Zelnik. That's right, it's Take 2 CEO Strauss Zelnik, who either agreed to or asked for his likeness to be added to the game. To make it all the weirder, Zelnik's intro song is Frank Sinatra's My Way. Okay, buddy. And this song cannot be played in the jukebox, nor can it be assigned to another wrestller's intro. It's literally just for Zelnik's intro, and that is it. And it really is a very fitting move for a CEO to hoard

IP so that others cannot enjoy it. I will say though, it is refreshing to see a CEO willingly add their likeness to a game where the entire point of the game is beating the [__] out of people. The next time Take 2 pulls some [__] we're going to be able to cut to a quick gameplay clip of Zelnik getting coat hangered in his crisp blue suit. And finally, it does pain me to say it, but the announcer barks for this guy are pretty damn good. Strauss Zalnik looking to take A TITLE HERE in WWE. In fact, he might take two. All right, ladies and gentlemen, that is another show down and it was a big one.

It's never too late to make a switch. Look at me. A few years ago, I was chained to a desk doing corporate stuff. No disrespect to anyone who loves that, but it certainly wasn't making me happy. I've told this story before, but when I wanted to break into the games media business, no one would hire me. So, I decided to make my own website that focused on game guides. The thing was, I had no idea how to build a website. So, I had to spend a few thousand bucks paying someone to build it for me. And the website was terrible, mind you. It wasn't the web designer's fault. It was entirely on me. My idea sucked. The point of my story is that back then, you

had to pay someone thousands of dollars to build a website for your business idea because that was pretty much the only way that a website could get made. Not so today because thankfully we have Squarespace. Squarespace is the place to build almost any website you'll need. Want to sell handmade candles? You can build a website for that.
